They have an actual human that is in the office during business hours and then they have online support during off hours when the physical office is closed. They also sell packing supplies such as boxes, wrappings and otherwise associated items. So if you need some storage space this is a good option. read more

This review is rated 1-star but only because I couldn't rate it no stars. I cannot even begin to communicate my displeasure with the way Airport Storage sold to Public Storage and the lack of communication about the handover. We found out in a voice mail that the Airport has been sold. That was it. Nothing more. We did not receive any information about Public....hours of operation, rate increases, nothing. Upon moving all of my belongings out of storage tonight, the outside access doors locked shut. No warning. My storage locker was open and we were locked outside at 9:03pm. Had we known about the closure we would have observed them but having ALWAYS had 24-Hour access we didn't think anything about hours. We made a call to the 1-800, after googling it because there is no emergency number anywhere, and they said there was nothing they could do and we would have to return at 6am tomorrow morning to retrieve the remainder of my belongings. This meant that my storage unit would remain open throughout the evening with all of my furniture and other belongings exposed. Jerry, at Public Storage 1-800 assures me my belongings would be safe. I'm very disappointed in Public Storage but more disappointed in David, the former owner of Airport Storage. For 5+ years we have been loyal customers and yet he has shown how little loyalty meant to him. If you care about your belongings and their safety, I do not recommend using this facility. I know I will never use another public storage. read more

the unit and the local staff are wonderful. however, I moved out at 1pm on the first of the month and was charged for the entire month. but when trying to pay online for this last bill, there wasn't a method, even though I had been on autopay for my entire rental period. ridiculous. read more

I can't say enough about Rita and the facility's overall cleanliness and ease of access. My wife and I just had our household goods delivered and Rita was so much help with the contract and information about everything! 5 stars for Rita! Very helpful and polite. She held 2 units for us. The rest of the complex was so poorly designed, having to use a 7 digits code while holding furniture to enter the front door and then immediately again for the elevator. The elevator door and the front sliding door started closing after literally 1 second, hitting every piece of furniture we moved in. We had to use the other cars just to keep the doors from closing. On Monday, Sept 1, I hired Two Men and a Truck to move my belongings from Public Storage here in Gulf Shores. I gave them my code for bldg and elevator access and opened my unit for them to go to work. Then I went to the office to inform the short, round, grey haired woman that they were getting my stuff out and I settled up and left. After getting home, my truck driver calls me to say they had been locked out before finishing! Having to drive back to the site as no one there answers a phone, the woman tells me the lead guy wasn't working and was on his phone. She would not let them in to finish! At this time, I lost composure with the woman, informing her that was my problem as I am paying them and locking them out did not help anyone. Turned out the driver was on his phone to his boss for help, who informed me that all he had to hear was Gulf Shores Public Storage, and he knew there was a problem. He had previous clients who told him they were just moving out due to poor management as well. Restaffing time! We won't go back! read more
