We discovered in November 2024 that the "climate controlled" unit we rent has a place in the ceiling that has collapsed on our furniture. It could not possibly be climate controlled and the district manager, Jeremy Cook, has not responded in over 2 weeks to any of our calls. I guess we will have to go to arbitration. I started at $148 a month and it went up to 348. And a sneaky fashion is slowly add their cost every other month it seems. I moved into a smaller unit and was promising $84 refund and they told me the computer won't allow them to do it so they screwed me out of that also. Dropped off furniture for a friend of mine at this facility, we drove into the gated facility and immediately where being followed by a Red Chevy Equinox, we began to offload at her unit this vehicle parked directly behind us the entire 2 hours of offload didn't say a word to us just parked right behind us and watched. I felt unsafe figured a guy willing to do that has got to have a weapon. I told my friend that I felt like her unit was being staked out to possibly be stolen from. "Moved in" yesterday, the space was clean and I didn't need much space, just wanted to get possessions out of my truck. My only complaint is the insurance, it is $15 a month. You cannot rent without THEIR insurance; which they will not pay on, because instantly they are secondary to your insurance. Even if you have no other insurance they will not pay, so get out of this place as soon as you can and into a better rated place. read more

Property is old. My unit had a bad door that was hard to roll up and the drywall on the ceiling was falling down. There were homeless renting in there that would use drugs and dance around by unit....too much for me. read more

I can never get a callback. I had let a voicemail twice in regards to a late charge (of $25 on a $90 bill) due to my error in setting up the autopay to my checking and depositing the money in my savings. I had wanted to speak to management about waving the fee since I had already incurred fees through my bank and have been in storage over a year with no prior issues but no one bothered to call me back. I feel like a 5x5 for $92 a month is excess as well. I put in my items at $8X.xx/mo and within 3 months they raised my bill to $92/month. I just got a piece of mail saying my storage would go down due to taxes to $89.xx and within two weeks I got another piece of mail that they are raising my rent to $92. read more

Normally my rating for this facility would be 5 stars but their actions during and after hurricane Ian resulted in this poor rating. Though the manager at this facility, Kaitlin, is wonderful, her district manager is a poor example of management if I ever did meet one. Her cold response to my concerns was dismissing each and every concern and in an email, not even with the courtesy of a phone call. Public Storage continued renting units after ian with no one at certain properties to accept payment or allow access. I've been told access was available through a blocked open back gate but in repeated calls to the property was told that the property was closed and secure. Public storage was negligent in many ways through the first week following the storm and could care less about customer service. This complaint comes from someone who had a good working relationship with public storage for over a decade....and at this point I'm through with them. read more

My husband I rented a unit to hold our belongings during a move from Ohio to Florida while we looked for a new house. Once the purchase of our new home was complete we returned, to our unit to remove our things only to discover the facility has a rat infestation and that a number of our boxes and items had been chewed through and blanketed in a layer of rat droppings. Mortified and disgusted, we hurried to the office where we were dismissed and told to file a claim with insurance that thankfully we had purchased up front. After looking into an insurance claim however, we were notified that rodents were not a covered expense and that we'd only be eligible for reimbursement up to a max $250 with a $100 deductible, along with submitting a receipts and an itemized listing of all the damaged items in the unit which is laughable, considering the actual cost of these damaged items is probably 10x the max claim amount. I attempted to contact Public Storage by email and was directed to their phone line. Once I finally reached someone by phone, I was sarcastically told that rats are not their problem, and that it is "self-storage". I was also reminded that's why they insist upon the insurance, which they know doesn't cover rodents, which in my opinion is tantamount to some level of fraud and for sure gas-lighting. The facility knows they have a rat problem, now there are literally rat traps placed outside every other unit. There was actually a dead rat stuck to the door of our unit when we opened it and another dead rat found further inside. If only they had met their demise before destroying our belongings. This is unacceptable treatment and service. Not only has Public Storage refused to accept any sort of responsibility for the destruction of our property or attempted to rectify things, but from a consumer standpoint, they've provided no plausible way to even protect yourself or your belongings financially. Do yourself a favor, and store your thing with anyone else. Our things might have been safer out on the street, and we would've saved some money too. read more

I reserved a unit on the web site. I went in to the office, it was very busy. I was impressed on the focus of the young lady behind the service counter. She is very detailed while explaining the contract, prices, available units to her customers. Very cordial and business orientated. She greeted me, greeted others coming in behind me, etc. It is a very friendly operation, clean, well stocked with moving and packaging accessories. Kathe is very professional. My Dad's ashes, my dog's ashes, tub of my family photos, jewelry, baby shoes, 1st doll, both of my Grandmothers China sets...a brand new freezer my Mom & stepdad had just given me, my Grandmothers rocking chair & chaise lounge, Christmas ornaments that belonged to my Dad....not to mention all of my clothes, shoes, coats...EVERYTHING! Their property is falling apart inside and there is a huge hole between my unit and the one next door. Whomever rents that space could steal the $250,000 worth of contents I have inside. The manager told me "it's not likely that they will steal everything". And I could move all of it right then to another one. I can't move giant heavy furniture myself that I paid a moving company to take there to begin with! I asked if they would help me and I was told no. Unacceptable response to their property falling apart when I've been a customer for over 2 years. read more

I like this storage locker because it is very close to where I live. The unit is locked and stays dry. The bad things about this unit are the limited hours, it doesn't have access 24/7 and there are no lights in the units. overall, I am pleased with the unit. read more
