I had a very disappointing experience with the property manager at Public Storage. When I arrived, he seemed bothered to help, even though customer service had confirmed I could be there until 5:30 p.m. He dismissed their guidance, saying they don't know what happens on-site, but since I was there, he'd "guess" he'd help. He then used an aggressive tone toward my 8-year-old for touching a window, when the proper approach would have been to speak to me as the parent. Finally, when I asked for his name, he responded with attitude, asking, "Why?" I explained I was on the phone with customer service, and he refused to give his name, saying, "Yeah, I'm not giving it to you." I said, "Okay, I'll let them know you are refusing to give me your name. I'm sure they can figure it out." read more

i have been coming to this location since the doors have first opened. the site and it's restrooms are always clean and orderly. the Public Storage employees have been friendly, knowledgeable and informative in every interaction. I just rented a 2nd (larger) storage bin from Public Storage in Coram. I used the app to set up the 2nd rental- it's user friendly and walks you through each step. Not happy with this storage facility will never use again there are no prorations If u move out on n the second day of the month they still bill you for the whole month they get you in with a 1.00 first month which ends up being 40 bucks for a 10x10 then second month is 200.00 and they force you to have insurance thought It was great and would of recommended to others but stay away other storage units have better rates and don't play games very upset coming out of this pandemic and you think they would be a little more helpful read more

Havent been able to access my storage unit for 2 months now due to the roll down gate on my unit being broken. Keep getting the runaround everytime I call, email, or walk in. Manager refuses to contact me. And rates go up every 6 months. Awful! read more

I would give negative stars if possible. This copy took advantage of me and my disability. I couldn't move until February 9th because of needing help from friends and family to move. I used public storage in 2016 and they prorated me for the month I moved out. I am now on Social Security Disability and I thought they would apply the same courtesy this time so I paid for a few days in the beginning of the month and then when I showed up to pack my truck to move I was told they wouldn't prorate the month and I had to pay a $30 late charge. They wouldn't waive the late charge because I was only with them since September. They are only about money!! And they don't care about their customers or their health. Spend your money elsewhere. They increase your rent without notification. When you attempt to speak to manager or customer service about it nobody responds. Been there about 3 years and had to leave due to them taking advantage of my funds. Only thing acceptable about there customer service is new people at location like Carissa the CS reps are rude and district manager dan never returns calls. Sure, I'll give a review. Let me start by saying 46 storage units were robbed including mine overnight on March 25th at Public Storage in Coram,NY. There are no cameras down by the units, only in the front and somehow these thieves cut the side fence to get in and managed to steal heavy Tvs and electronics out of 46 units without a truck somewhere and in the pouring rain? Sounds very fishy to me and we have been given no answers yet. It's very strange how they are upgrading the camera systems in June and the place gets robbed the last week of May. Seems very off to me. They also waited all day to even contact us the day after when my unit was left open in the rain due to the break in. It is completely unacceptable. I feel completely violated and we haven't so much as gotten a call from the regional property manager with an apology. What am I paying almost $300 dollars a month for? We lost all of our belongings in an apartment fire a couple years back and my unit is filled with whatever we were able to save from it and replace. My belongings, all I have left. To have to worry that my stuff will be robbed and Public Storage could care less about it is awful. I plan on moving my stuff as soon as I am able to and would never use or recommended a Public Storage unit property again. read more

Jessica is lovely but be ready for bait and switch. Sign your contract for $123.00 a month and Insurance at $7 a month...and in three months the rent hikes up to $165.00 and the Insurance to $11.00 a month. Gate has been broken and left open all night. In the winter a plow truck knocked many unit doors off the track-had to come in special to open my unit for them to fix it; lots of snow got in and caused some water damage-no recourse for that. There is no garbage or dumpster which is ridiculous. Avoid at all costs renting with companies like Public Storage with their month to month lease agreements. It is full of loopholes and fine print that always amount to the customer having to pay more then what you signed for in the contract. If you can, get a POD where it is one price, no increases, and your monthly payment is the same that you agreed to when you signed your contract. Or rent from a facility that guarantees the same price each month. Not worth the headache and I resent this company holding customers hostage-because who really wants to move an entire 10x20 storage unit only three months after moving all their belongings into it? read more
