She hung up the phone and refused to stay 2 minutes past 5:30 because "I'm not allowed to stay late to help" I do not recommend this place. Online it stated I could pay for my unit lease and go straight to the unit. Then once I paid over $70 I was told I had to wait til tomorrow morning. She caught herself in 3 lies once I asked for a confirmation email of the refund and said "it send" then I waited 3 minutes on the phone for it and still did not receive it. Then she said she doesn't know where it is and then her last response was "ma'am I dont know what to tell you other than to call 1800 storage. I went to respond and she huffed puffed and hung up the phone!! Rude & terrible "customer service " Makes sense why she works here and cleans storage units for a living.

I call U-Haul, tell them I need a van and afterwards I want to leave the van in Boston. Not a problem sir. Not a problem is what I want to hear! While we're filling out paperwork I see various packing supplies. While looking at the cardboard boxes, tapes and packing cushions, I noticed a mattress bag? I had plans to shove his mattress on top of his stuff? My wife said we need to have one so I spent a few bucks and put the mattress in a protective bag. We drove the U-Haul on the ferry and was in Boston licky split! We unpacked the truck, mission complete. The truck itself was new and everything worked. I am not a truck driver but after driving this van I can see why America turns to U-Haul. From picking up the van to dropping it off at another U-Haul, I highly recommend U-Haul of Coram.

The manager of this facility along with the regional manager have poor communication skills. The employees are treated with a level of disrespect that I have never experienced before. I mentioned a situation between an employee and the manager of that facility to the regional manager which made me as a customer feel uncomfortable and his response was there is no record of that employee. Not only does that leave me frustrated but it shows the lack of professionalism in this facility. The issue at hand was not corrected. Instead excuses were made. I acknowledged that my monthly payment was paid late on a Saturday. However 2 days later my unit was still locked. Instead of addressing the situation there were excuses made on behalf of the employees. I paid a $30 late fee and 2 days later my unit remained locked. Basically if there are late fees being assessed then the unit should be unlocked upon receiving payment in a timely fashion. The regional manager and his team should re visit training and develop of how to treat customers. In this day and age frustration sets in quickly and "Professionalism " goes a long way.

Place smells like fuel or car oil so your stuff will smell…read more There is a constant LOUD beeping sound that is excruciatingly annoying. It is not climate controlled, the unit is freezing cold during the winter so if you have plastic items or fragile items they will crack. There app is awful and often times not responsive to open the gate to get into the building. The gate has been broken numerous times and I couldn't get in after office hours which is 5pm or the gate is broken and left open for days so anyone can enter the premises and access outside storage units. The have a revolving door of employees who aren't helpful and rude. This place is over priced, smells horrible and the units are all connected so anyone can steal your stuff at the top of your unit it's open which Makes no sense at all, anyone can climb up and slip into your unit to steal your belongings. Place is awful expensive. There are no garbage pales and the dumpsters are locked so you can't use them. And another note the employees keep the door to the bathroom locked so you can't access the bathroom.

Also the office is locked and empty during business hours so even if you do go in, you can't and they don't answer the phone, so you have to leave a message and they call you back, every time. the chat function is an easy out for them, they just say that they think they lost you and disconnect.

Abe is a horrible employee. For 4 years my husband has stored his $145,000 Corvette in a unit in…read morethis location. For the first few years, my husband would leave his pickup truck in the lot because it didn't fit in the unit. We never had an issue. We had no idea that corporate policy does not allow cars parked that don't pay rent (corporate greed at its finest). Today when my husband tried to get his car and leave his pickup, Abe, instead of explaining corporate policy, cursed at my husband about parking there and threw his clipboard at him. When my husband cursed back, Abe called the police, who forced my husband to leave, without his car! Abe proceeded to say that his storage lease was terminated and emailed him (I HAVE the emails) to say his gate code was deleted - inevitably holding his car hostage. THIS IS CAR THEFT!!! We will no longer do business with this company and will be contacting our lawyer regarding how this company treats its paying customers (we're paid until June 15th and they refused us a partial refund) what a disgrace!!
