A top notch facility to store your possessions with the confidence of redundant security, CCTV,…read morehelpful personnel, multiple digital access points and easily accessible. Further, the digital access points offer a button to immediately obtain assistance from the employee at the front desk of the facility. You're really never alone except after normal business hours. The facility offers various sized storage areas for which the pricing will vary. We never experienced any immediate issues or problems. The employee at the front desk was always helpful, friendly and offered accessories for purchase such as locks for the security gate of your storage area. You can be assured that the multiple digital access points increases the confidence level against non-authorized entry. When entering our storage areas, we frequently encountered other customers who cheerfully assisted us in helping to to move items and load our vehicle. My only recommendation (that would not change my rating) to the facility owner/management is to properly replace or properly repair the hand trucks. Of the three made available within the storage area where my rented storage room was located, only one properly functioned. The other two were broken in that the handles or bars to pull the hand trucks kelp "popping out" of the carts. This was very annoying when pulling/pushing them without a load but especially aggravating when pulling/pushing a loaded hand truck and losing control of the hand trucks. One hand truck clearly showed a short-cut attempt to temporarily fix it by using duct tape to secure it. This attempt to short term fix it reflects an apparent cost-saving attempt my the owner/management rather than to pursue the proper method and simply replace it. Lastly, if a potential customer is considering a long term lease, please occasionally check your billing statements as rental price increases will occur to your account - acceptable and understandable.

I have purchased boxes here on more than one occasion. The staff is always friendly and happy to…read morehelp you choose the correct size. They get you in and out quickly and it's close to home. When I was looking to rent a storage locker last Fall I came here to check out their facility. I ended up choosing another location for several reasons. 1. Their prices were higher than other locations near by. 2. I measured the size locker I was interested in and it measured smaller than advertised. 3. The facility smelled like smoke. When I asked about it, I was assured smoking is not allowed inside the facility. So, either someone broke the rules or someone's stuff was producing third hand smoke. Either way, this was a deal breaker for me.

Absolutely awful location and company. My experience with this Mount Sinai public storage location…read morewill make me never rent storage with them again. This location had a massive break in back in august of 2026 where over 50 units were broken into including mine. Public storage even after discovering the break in didn't notify any of the affected (I had it confirmed by police that they communicated every single unit # with evidence of tampering to public storage management after their response to the initial break in). I, through my regular course of visiting my unit every couple of months visited my unit in october and discovered that a valuable family flute was stolen out of my unit. This is when I discovered of this massive break in through a front desk employee. Though public storage knew about the break in and specifically knew which units were affected no notice went out and there are likely many people who had things stolen to this day and simply don't know it. No full accounting of what happened has ever transpired because of public storages negligence to communicate the break in to their customers. While of course the liability to store things in a place like Public Storage falls in a lot of ways on the customer themselves, we pay Public Storage to provide secure spaces where our items will be safe. They advertise alarms, people watching security footage, etc. and yet someone had multiple hours of unfettered access in the middle of the night and was able to break into 50 units. Genuinely how does this happen without some level of negligence? It was a massive breach of trust to never notify me and because of the delay between the break in and when I discovered the theft (on my accord!), a month and a half has gone by where my flute could have been sold 3 times over. I am lucky that I had a good accounting of all the items in my unit and realized my instrument was missing that day. If I hadn't I may have gone months or years having no idea anything was gone. Others I'm sure are in this exact predicament now. I had reached out to the district manager Aaron the day I discovered the theft and though there was a handful of missed calls back and forth, the manager didn't respond to emails I sent after he had reached out and when I confirmed my availability to have a call never followed up. I've been so defeated in this situation along with a complete loss in trust on the part of Public storage that I didn't fight too hard to speak with management after a few failed attempts to connect. After 2 weeks had gone by, Aaron reached out again asking for my availability for a call which I hesitantly responded too and then never received any response back. At this point with my unit closed, everything being handled by police and my own feelings on the matter, I don't really have any interest in communicating with anyone in the company. There's just so many layers of failure involved that it's impossible to recommend anyone use Public Storages services. How can I considering the situation here? 50 units were broken into and I doubt many of them know still to this day. I, in speaking to the press once this story hit the news - personally have done far more than the team at Public Storage to notify their customers of this massive break in. Do not store your items at Public Storage. Your items aren't safe there. Find another company that respects their own customers enough to notify you if your unit was broken into. We originally intended to use the Mount Sinai location, because it was closer, but we decided on the Miller Place location instead because: 1. They had better prices. 2. The staff was friendlier. And, 3. The Miller Place location was a lot cleaner. Make sure you measure the locker you intend to rent before booking it. The locker sizes advertised aren't exact, so make sure your things will fit. I originally thought we could rent a smaller unit but it just didn't work out. Our rent was raised twice during our term, maybe 25% overall. Some people get mad about this. But, they explain it to you when you sign up and you always get notice. It is a business. It makes sense and I always felt the rent increases were fair. The facility is kept very clean. That was most important to me, no mildew smells or water problems. There were times when we would go months without checking on our things. Everything was always exactly how we left it. This facility is very safe. We finished emptying our locker yesterday. Yay! One less bill to pay:) If I needed a storage locker again, I would definitely go back. If you need a storage locker in the area, I checked a lot out. This is the best overall. Make sure to go online to reserve your space. You will get extra discounts.
