Clean, protected, etc. but when it came down to collecting on the referral fee, they said the new tenant had to select between getting a month free rent or me getting the referral fee for sending them there. What the heck?! That is not a referral fee. You either offer a special to the new tenant or you don't. You either pay a referral fee or you don't. What you don't do is lead people on. Keep in mind, when you look online, the one month free rent is advertised. It is not an either or situation. Extremely frustrated and feeling taken and abused by this company. I will NOT refer to them in the future. I now see what business means to them.

We were literally trapped at the facility until a very nice woman from across the street at another Public Storage location came over and moved the gate for us. We picked up our USC student's belongings in our small 5x5 unit only to find dead water bugs everywhere, in the hallway of the building and in her unit as well. She was freaked out and threw many of the items away. We have since cancelled the unit and will try to find another one at the end of this school year and hopefully not have the same issues. PS the rate of $30 a month went to $42 a month in only 4 months of having the unit

We go to empty the room yesterday and they had a roof leak that destroyed all of my daughters personal property including a $300 orthopedic dog bed for her Service Dog-she is partially deaf so her Golden Retriever assists her daily. The property manager took photos and said that they would put it in their system and rectify the situation. I called today and every customer service representative is saying verbatim "we will not reimburse because you didn't buy the insurance". So you can be a neglectful property owner by not fixing or maintaining your facilities roof and now I have to pay for that? Where is your accountability? I have tons of photos showing mold growth all over everything that we had to toss in your dumpster. I'm out about $500 to replace everything. You need to do the right thing Public Storage. It didn't take long for them to become rodent and roach infested. We went to check on our stuff after about three months and there were mouse droppings and small urine stains on the majority of the boxes and furniture. They actually ate through the hose on our washing machine as well as a garden hose. A GARDEN HOSE!!! When we spoke with one of the young men who work there he stated that they don't do any type of pest control other than putting down one bait trap per unit when someone first moves in. That CLEARLY was not enough. We had to go through and throw away many items before moving to our new home because we were afraid that we would be taking mice and roaches with us. On top of all that, they had the nerve to send a bill for $150 for removal of the damaged items that were left behind. And as far as security the place was not secure. The entrance gate has been broken and stuck in the raised position for over a month. After this experience I hope to never have need of a storage facility again, but if I do it most definitely WILL NOT BE THIS ONE!!!

Manager then states that she forgot to charge us and her inventory is short which is how she decided it was the lock we had purchased and that they are adding that to our next bill. Then a month later I receive the bill for monthly storage and it had extra fees over 20..and not the mandatory insurance they require you to pay as well every month. And my bill states it is due in 2 weeks. Today I go to drop a load of stuff in my unit only to find out they have locked me out of the gate. Manager comes to me and says yes we do that when your bill is 6 days late. Well my bill is not late if it says it is Due March 17th and today is February 26th!!! Still did not even let me in gate to my unit!! The worst storage place I have ever experienced and needless to say I will be moving my stuff out of there!
