Russian Gold Coin missing, among other Valuables. I would never go back as a return customer! BE AWARE! when I told the young lady, at the counter I had items missing, she directed me to a pamphlet for insurance. she most definitely didn't seem shocked or gave emphatic speech. Nice very helpful attendant. I like her, just taken by surprise, she wasn't shocked. I thought, the unit is locked everything is safe, I'm ok! No not so. yesterday everything moved out! Mouse droppings in my boxes that were opened, I had to remove items from boxes and place in garbage bags to insure I wouldn't take home rodents! Our unit had a ton of rat droppings and they don't really care try hear about it. Constant raising of their rates, this last one being a $50 increase from one month to another bringing a 10x10 to $238. That was it, moving to a same sized unit at Ikon for $100. Do yourself a favor and go to Ikon on union. read more

Do not store your belongings at any Public storage. They have hidden fees and do not honor there contact. I found two rats in my belongings and they argue with me file a claim. I already had there insurance which cover this issue. They refuse. Do Not purchase Any Unit with Public storage. You will be taking a Big Risk read more

terrible customer service and i was signed up for auto pay my card was charged so the payment would be on time byt the little trouble maker there credited my account back only to incur a late charge it is all documented .. including giving access to someone i asked to be denied access. also changed the lock from a public storage lock to a personal one without my authorization. i'm beyond pissed!!!!!! thank goodness i have insurance read more

I LOVE the friendliness and flexibility of the staff and the facility in general. I spend a lot of time at my unit and I always see a staff member going around with a janitorial cart cleaning any garbage, regardless of how big or small it may be. The security cameras and the quality of the garage/unit doors lets me sleep easy at night. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for short term or long term storage! read more

I am out of state and needed a unit in buffalo had to use Google and found that public storage was closest to the location I needed and was able to reserve online. Ashley gave me a call the next morning as I reserved it the night before. She was courteous and went above and beyond to help with all my questions. I have had an indoor, climate controlled storage unit 10x10 for a little over a year and everything was great. Check in was easy and unit was decent. The reason I am giving this 1 star is for the scams they pull when you are trying to empty and cancel your unit. You can choose any date for a "move out" date but if it is the 1st or after, they will charge you for the whole month but tell you to your face before that that you owe no future payments and that "you're all good!". Do not recommend. Also throughout your unit stay, they can raise the price. I started at $125 which was much cheaper compared to other units in the buffalo area, but then 6 months was raised to $155 then on my last month (6 months later) was again being raised to $183 a month. For a storage unit. $60 up charge within a year. Not worth the trouble!!! read more

Here's a fact they don't tell you...they don't shovel or plow for you to get into your unit.after seeing all the snow piled up and packed by plow I asked at front when it would be accessible.i was told they don't but they have a shovel for me to use.thats great a push shovel doesn't cut it.after speaking to numerous ppl,the district manager said it's against "osha"to have employees shovel and plow can only go to 18" of gate.so were paying and can't even get into our unit till we shovel out.guess they have enough insurance to cover themselves when someone gets hurt doing it themselves.its a big job if u have a large unit.all the excuses and things I was told sounds like a line to me to save the expense of paying someone to keep units accessible. read more

This is the worst storage facility I've ever rented, and I've rented a few in three states. My unit is in the indoor climate controlled area. The lighting in the hallways doesn't work well--many light fixtures don't work. The keypads to open the exterior doors have been broken for weeks! The worst thing, however, is that their golf cart is permanently parked just inside the entry gate making it very difficult to maneuver in and out of the place, especially if you are pulling a trailer. They claim that they are unable to move it. Please do your research. Do not rent here unless it is the last available storage facility. read more

I rented a storage unit a 5x10 in January. Everything was pretty good. The only issue I really ever had was one time I had a problem with my door and went to go inside to let them know and they said they were on lunch. Which the sign said they were suppose to be back a half hour before. Everything with that went fine. In the beginning of June I received an e-mail stating that their prices are going to be going up for July. So my monthly payment went from $89 a month to $107!! Quite an increase!!! Refusing to pay that every month I paid it for July and did everything to find another storage unit. And I did!! So it took me a couple days but I emptied out my storage unit and vacated the unit on July 16 2018. I tell them and ask them when I'm going to get my money back and they told me that they don't prorate. So you can move in any day of the month and they don't have a problem prorating that but I can't move out any day of the month?? How does that make sense????? I even asked if I was allowed to tell them that I'd be out at a certain time if they would've just charged me. They said I'd still be charged for the whole month!!?? Money hungry!!!??? So I called costumer service and they basically told me to call the district manager and got no where!! The manager was a very nice guy but there is nothing he could do. Apparently I signed that in the contract. I have never met such a money hungry company!! I will never ever use public storage again. read more

I rented a 30x10 unit from here for less than 6 weeks as I transitioned from house selling to house buying. Staff on-site are friendly and fairly helpful. Only real problem was that the prior renter of the unit didn't remove their lock from the back side of the space. On-site staff said the district manager would be out soon to take it off. Two weeks late he came but burned off the wrong lock (on the front side). Careless and incompetent. I ended up paying out about $100 total for the rental (a good deal) so I won't complain too much. read more

Nice property, staff is nice but they always try to up sell you. The biggest issue is after a few months they increase your rates in the range of 10-20%, outrageous compared to inflation. Ask the staff about the rate you are getting and how long it will remain before you commit to them. read more

This is an inexpensive, secure, and clean facility. What makes them five star for me is their frontline staff. They worked with me getting my unit set up during one of the snowiest winters we've had. They took the time to explain everything. They made me comfortable with the idea of packing my life away in their facility. As this was a sudden unexpected and very stressful move, the courtesy and care they took is especially appreciated. read more

Great experience! I use storage units about twice a year and Public Storage is a go-to brand! I reserved a unit which was perfect for my needs, and bought insurance and supplies! The checkin staff was great; Marcellus and Stefanie (hope I spelled their names correctly;-) were great!!
