    Very clean facility. The contactless check in process is great and I love how the gate code is in the app because I always forget.

    Security gate is ALWAYS open, front desk staff is incompetent with knowledge of contracts and NC law.

The only reason I stayed was because the parking was slightly cheaper, but now I understand why. The property has potholes all over the lot, the gate access is unreliable, and the customer service is extremely poor. There were several times over multiple months where I had gate codes and still could not access my work van. That is not a minor issue -- it caused me to lose full days of work because I could not get to the vehicle I depend on for my job. A business that takes monthly payments but cannot provide reliable access to your own vehicle should be embarrassed. Their own management admitted by email that the gate was non-operational multiple times and that codes have to be manually locked and unlocked by staff. That says everything about how poorly this place is operated. When you call for help, good luck getting a response. But when it comes to late fees and autopay, they move fast. After I told them several times I was moving out and removed my vehicle, they still added fees and charged my bank account $105 through autopay. After 5 years, they refused to compensate me for lost access, lost workdays, and all the inconvenience. This facility showed me no loyalty, no accountability, and no respect as a long-term paying customer. Future customers should know this before trusting them with a work vehicle or anything they depend on daily. If you need reliable access, fast communication, or a company that takes responsibility when their system fails, this is not the place I would choose. I would never trust them with a work vehicle, personal vehicle, or autopay information again.

In the drawers, all over the wood, my wall unit from Germany was destroyed!! My bedroom set, ever single piece of furniture was covered in mold. Several of my boxes also was thrown out from mold being in them and I am hyper sensitive of mold due to COPD! My son rented a 30x10 unit for me and paid for it every month only to have them raise the rent by over $30 without any notice after 6 months, then to loose almost everything in it! Such a total loss of money and ALL my household items! Also, this place is very non responsive and will not return phone calls if you reach out to them. There is no one in the office most of the time either. So, DO NOT use this place if you value your items!

After over a month being ignored I was told by the owner (Rob) that it's denied stating in a voicemail it was a fraudulent claim. He stated the item was never there and the locks were never removed. I provided photos showing the slide was cut away from locks leaving locks in place. Even provided photos of items in question taken by their manager just 2 weeks before inside the unit. Stay away from them. I haven't even accessed the unit in over three months. They lied about sending surveillance camera video to the sheriffs office. Told me the claim process takes 10-14 days. Then told me it takes 8-10 weeks before ultimately denying. They could not provide insurance company info nor a claim number. Who's the fraud? I have documentation discrediting and contradicting everything he stated. And even after that was told he's the owner and it's his decision. If anyone wants to hear his accusation on my voicemail I'll be uploading to YouTube along with the photos of damage and items that were taken.

On October 5, 2024, I entered my climate-controlled storage unit and was immediately struck by an unusual and unpleasant odor. The unit was also much hotter than expected. Upon opening my unit, I was shocked to discover mold covering my items--this in a space that was specifically advertised as climate-controlled. After researching reviews, I discovered that Public Storage was aware of this issue as early as August 31st, yet there was no communication or warning provided to tenants. When I reached out to your team, I was informed that Public Storage is only obligated to notify tenants in the event of a break-in. While your representative emphasized the "store at your own risk" policy and advised me to file a claim through insurance, this approach entirely overlooks the severity of the situation. This is not simply a matter of financial loss--there are significant health risks associated with exposure to mold and fungi. Both my family and I, along with other tenants, unknowingly entered this hazardous environment, and some may have even taken contaminated items home, further increasing exposure risks. The health and safety of your customers should not be disregarded in favor of policy adherence or profit. I understand that businesses need to be profitable, but it is unacceptable to allow customers' personal, often priceless, items to be destroyed through negligence, and then to put their health at risk. While I was informed that I can file a claim for $250 with a $100 deductible, I find this offer inadequate. This issue was preventable, and your company should take responsibility for the damages caused, rather than passing the burden onto tenants. I have already consulted with climate control and restoration experts, and I expect a clear response outlining your company's immediate plan of action. We cannot move our belongings to another facility without potentially exposing other locations and individuals to contamination, further complicating this matter. This letter is just a summary of my concerns, but I expect a prompt and appropriate response from your end. Please let me know how you intend to address this issue as soon as possible. The majority of their reviews are positive because they solicit them when you move in. I know because I removed mine to write this truth about my experience. Go online look at reviews, YouTube, and search Facebook. You could lose your whole life to be told go claim your $250 mold insurance. #BEWARE These pictures don't even do it justice.
