My experience with the public storage facility in Beaufort was terrible from day 1. I stood around for almost two hours waiting to get into the unit on the first day. There were no employees at the facility to help me and no person to answer a phone to guide me in the right direction. Then over a month later, I drove 3-1/2 hours one way to get some of the things from the unit only to find the unit wasn't accessible because the elevators were broken and there were no carts in the building either. Again, there wasn't a person for at least an hour to even tell me the elevator was broken, so I basically drove seven hours for only to go home empty handed. I came back again later to find my recliner and sofa had dead rats in them. I had Britteny who was working that day to document the horrible odor in the recliner and followed up with a phone call later that day. I also received an email from public storage asking how my visit was that day. I responded with my horrible experience, but again, never had anyone contact me about the ruined recliner or sofa. Also, everything that was in the climate- controlled unit was very dirty. I ended up throwing the fairly new recliner and sofa in the dumpster. I will not use Public Storage again! read more
