I'd say the major drawback of this location is the parking--it's $1.50/every 15 minutes, so we paid for 1 hour to be safe. A second deterrent would be the security guards; most of them were pretty unhappy/rude, but you really don't spend enough time in security for it to be too much of an issue. Knocked off a star for these location factors, but the RR/CC staff were definitely 5 stars. On to the good part! We whipped through security and headed for the 6th floor where RR/CC is located. We checked in, provided our IDs with the pre-packaged envelope from the previous marriage license appointment, and waited a few minutes for the couple ahead of us to finish (we were early, and they were running on schedule). They called us in by the appointment last name, and we had our little ceremony. The officiant was really kind, and he made it more heartfelt than we were expecting (we were quite awkward though--we don't usually stare at each other in front of people like that, but who really does?). We had a few funny moment of our own accidental creation, and somehow made it back out with our rings on and married! Cheers to a great experience and a whole lifetime of laughs ahead. I wanted to thank Officer Cachu and Officer Montana (I apologize if I misspelled) for going above and beyond to help my family and I during a super scary car accident. We were on our way to the airport when we got hit. It was such a terrifying experience, especially because my son was in the car with me, and this was my first car accident. Officer Cachu was the first officer to arrive on scene, and from the very beginning, he handled everything with incredible professionalism and calmness. Despite multiple vehicles being involved and having to speak with several different people, he remained patient, attentive, and compassionate with everyone. Even in such a stressful situation, he made me and my son feel safe and reassured. I honestly don't know how he was able to take control of such a chaotic scene so well on his own. What stood out most to me was the kindness and compassion both officers showed my family. Our car was completely totaled, and Officer Cachu and Officer Montana not only helped keep us safe on the side of the busy freeway, but also helped arrange for a tow truck. His partner Officer Montana was super super kind and helpful and helped us move our many luggage safely on the side of the road and gave us water (we were dying of thirst), and when we were struggling to find someone to pick us up, both officers stayed with us and made sure we got out of the area safely. Because of their help, we were able to get an Uber to the airport on time, but the airline ended up selling our seats D: and we had to get on another flight, but we still made it to my little sister's graduation on time. We wouldn't have made it without the amazing 2 officers and the tow man. I truly truly cannot thank these officers enough for everything that day. Their professionalism, patience, and genuine care made a traumatic experience into a more positive memorable experience. I've been telling family and people how amazing the CHP officers were and how grateful I am for their help that day. The CHP is very fortunate to have two officers who really care about people. She responded with unhelpful responses, including negative attitude saying I was just unhappy because I wasn't getting the responses I needed. She's very manipulative seeing her side of the story to the manager when I asked her for a manager she didn't want to bring a Manager. She asked me to go to window B I was afraid to lose my position. I stated if she can bring the Manager to me she said no I said OK I'll just go over there, but can you please give me anything to be able to show proof of valid registration she said no I can't help. You didn't refer me anywhere besides the kiosk that was not working that I let her know that was not working. When I spoke to the manager, she brought me back over because she couldn't help me. She didn't have a computer so we went back to Kamille. The manager's name is TOI as she mentioned to me when I asked her. When we went back to Kamille. She started talking to Kamille about the situation and Kamille started seeing her side of the story which is way different of what happened, but I let her speak because I'm not rude afterwards she called me up once Kamille was done with the last person then they stated that I owed Tickets of $800 I said OK so I was ready to pay and Kamille's like oh we don't accept phone payments I said that's OK. I was going to pay with my card anyways and then she looked back at the manager. You see his responses to try to convince her that I'm the problem then I said I just heard you tell her everything that you said you tried to switch up the whole story I don't understand what's your problem and I just said it's hard to work with some people Then the manager started choosing sides by saying no it's not agreeing with a worker Kamille so now I knew unfortunately the manager is black and the employee is Black and I'm in Hispanic and unfortunately they're working together so I had to just go along with it so she's like let's just close it out and I'll move you over to a different worker. When I got to the next worker, I had to wait in line again I didn't complain. I just went along then I paid the $800 and ask if I can pay another five dollars for the proof of validation because that was only for Tickets I want to make sure when I go back I can show proof where I need to show proof He said yes, I paid the five dollars then the machine stopped working the printer so he went back to the Manager TOI she attempted to help him and unfortunately they couldn't fix it at that time. I did not say anything. I waited patiently and she made a remark. Oh, he can just go to the kiosk anyways it's usually a kiosk transaction anyways mind you I already paid and there's a line for the kiosk that I waited for before I started using the windows this is a very, very, very bad experience because I've been to multiple Dmv's. I would love for this manager and this employee to be disciplined accordingly so it doesn't happen to anyone else again.

May 28, 2026 Well, it was that time to renew my CDL…read more Although I retired in 2024, I've maintained my license for 31 years and it's hard to have just a regular license. That last time I came here, the experience wasn't bad but not as good as my latest visit. It wasn't crowded and I didn't have an appointment. After checking in, my wait was maybe 10 minutes. I was called up, provided proof of residency, took mu picture and then completed testing (HazMat). I should receive my renewed license in approx. two weeks. Seamless process. If you have a commercial license, don't waste you time at a non-CDL DMV. There's only a handful of commercial DMV's in the state. Check the CA DMV website for a facility near you. It's worth it!
