Very true to LA City fashion. There were meters and I only saw one garage that stated it was only open for monthly entrances. There was also parking lots charging around but I decided to just park in a meter. Make sure to bring coins! Once inside the staff was very kind in directing me the correct way to go for what I needed. They need proof of vaccination and ID and you must wear a mask. They also have masks available if you forget your own which is nice. I was helped by the front desk and the plan checker. We were able to discuss the plans and I was grateful they were understanding and patient. A good experience for my first time: Will probably be retuning here compared to other locations due to the closeness of the location and I liked the staff !

He just added about 2.5 feet of a wood looking structure to the fence. There are no permits on this property. The property is now leaning toward my property and will probably crumble in my pool and garage and driveway. Building and safety acknowledges the wall is illegal and legal filing was done in 2022 followed by many other complaints. I use to host swim parties in the summer for troubled children but don't dare now because it is life endangering. I showed up thinking they'd be open at 8 only to find out they opened up at 8:30. Why? I'm not sure. Be advised there's a good chance there's going to be someone out there asking if you are there for anything related to registering a business. He's very friendly, but he's not with the county. He's there to hawk his company that will help you with anything legal in regards to your business. I came in to get my son's birth certificate. The young woman who helped me out was once of the nicest government employees I've ever dealt with. I was dreading getting the form thinking it would be like going to the DMV, but once they opened, the line really moved along. And like I said, the service I had was A+. If I ever need any other forms, this will definitely be the location I go to. I'll just be sure to get there knowing they'll open at 8:30. Not 8.

I went to their site to make an appointment the following day which was frustrating but this is normally something I can easily get done (and by far, the easiest thing that has to do with my taxes). Arrived early, a nice lady sitting to the left checked me in and told me to have a seat. I was back in this familiar room, except due to the appointment system, I didn't have to pull a number deli-style like I had to in the past. It was also a lot less crowded so I guess the appointment system has some advantages. The other lady I sat down across from was also a pleasure to work with. I'm not deaf, but sometimes it's hard to hear through the glass. She was patient and funny too which always makes this experience that much better. Next January-if I remember-I'll make sure to check online to see if they are still appointment-based so I won't make the same mistake.

To date, renewing said license remains equally seamless. Always a timely end of year reminder via USPS postcard with ability to do so online. Another seamless process with documents immediately available to print for city, state and federal income tax returns. But the Office of Finance is not just about collecting revenue. I find their frequent E-newsletter, a public service not just for the people and organizations conducting business activity within Los Angles but for all Los Angeles residents. Yes, in business or not, there's assistance for all from health/wellness, these days a focus on current county Covid policy, as well as, where to get PCR tests and vaccines (often forward this info to friends), and to small business with a newly re-named program RAMP (Regional Alliance Marketplace for Procurement) where they can create a profile for business to business connections. But wait there's more assistance! California Mortgage Relief, Sewer Repair, Landlord Relief Incentives to name just a few.

I couldn't stand being there for another minute, I knew I would have a panic attack very soon by looking at the way they operate this place. However, this review is specifically for the girl I spoke to over the phone. She was very rude you can tell by her tone. I called on behalf of my parents because they recieved a letter and my name was spelt incorrectly and they put "hijo". She said it's an easy fix she just has to speak to both of them which was fine. My dad commented on the hijo part and she told me she can't change it in the system it's just set to child and she made a snarky comment stating that there's a parenthesis so it can be "hijo" or "hija" which I replied saying that in the letter there's no parenthesis which is why they were concerned. And she's like, "I'm looking at the screen the letter they sent you" to which I replied, "I have the letter in my hand so do you want a screenshot of it?" Lol she was just very rude overall to my parents and I. I don't know what her deal is. Maybe she needs coffee or something else.... Sad I didn't get her name. Anyways, I attached this screenshot in case she comes across this :)

As a young woman navigating all of this, I've unfortunately been given misinformation in the past, which has made me come into conversations a bit more guarded and, at times, probably more frustrated than I'd like to be. That being said, Will at the front was incredibly helpful right away. He took the time to listen, understood that my case was more involved, and brought in Michael, the manager, to assist. I genuinely cannot say enough good things about Michael. He was patient, professional, and incredibly respectful throughout the entire interaction. Even though I came in with a lot of questions and concerns, he never made me feel dismissed or rushed. He took the time to look at my case as a whole -- not just pieces of it -- and made sure I fully understood everything before we ended our conversation. Money-related situations can be really sensitive and stressful, and I know I may have come across frustrated at times, but Michael handled everything with such grace and professionalism. I left the conversation feeling heard, respected, and honestly just very grateful. It's rare to feel taken care of in situations like this, and both Will and Michael made a huge difference for me today. Thank you both again -- I truly appreciate it. - Margo Parker
