Los Angeles County Treasurer and Tax Collector - You can see I had to call 4 times because it kept hanging up on me. Then I got through, but had to wait over 50 minutes!

"If I could give this place one star, I absolutely would. Not only do they fail to pay attention to…read moredetails, but they are also extremely rude. They spelled my name incorrectly on a legal document that I need to sell my house. I waited a month for the forms to arrive in the mail, and when I finally received them, my name was spelled Dorleen instead of Darleen. I promise I know how to spell my own name, and it had always been spelled correctly before. I waited on hold for an hour after the system hung up on me five times. As a teacher, my time is limited. When I finally got someone on the phone--a woman whose name I didn't catch--she was incredibly rude and told me I needed to call back because she couldn't help me. I explained that this legal document, now incorrect, is holding up my life because they couldn't spell my name right. The letters a and o aren't even next to each other on the keyboard! Her response was unprofessional and dismissive. Unfortunately, I now have to waste even more time calling back to deal with more rude people.

I Had to go to in office to get my company's unsecured tax issues resolved ( BTW - the assessor's phone system SUCKS) Luckily, 2 young ladies were very helpful to me: The first one, Taleen (did not get her last name) worked at window 5 (section A counters) when she helped me look up my company and helped me get to the correct location for further service. The second one was Latoya Guillory, at room 225 of the assessor's office dealing with business tax issues. She explained to me the unfortunate rules that make it SO EASY for LA CO ASSESSOR TO COLLECT TAXES BUT IMPOSSIBLE TO GET OUR OVER TAXED REFUNDS BACK. She guided me to the Basement office B-4 to put in an application for another $50 to appeal my tax and WAIT ALMOST A YEAR til they get to my case. The lady there said I'd get an email that doesn't even look like an email, "but better check your Junk box or else they won't be able to help you". REALLY????

I really liked this place because it's not just one restaurant -- it's more like a collection of…read moredifferent food spots all in one space. It makes it so much easier when you don't want to commit to just one type of food. I walked around for a bit before deciding what to get, and everything looked fresh and tempting. It's the kind of place where you can try something new every time you come back. Also great if you're with friends and everyone has different cravings. The overall vibe is lively but still comfortable, not too chaotic. It felt easy to just grab food and sit down without any stress. I'd definitely come back here when I want variety and a casual food experience without overthinking it.

Lot of vendors that have a history with the greater LA area, so it avoids the gradual rise of gentrification which can occur with most food halls and markets in the U.S. I like the open air concept where you can just chill inside or outside and enjoy some good food or brews. You could easily hang out here for several hours, but I had a busy day so that couldn't happen for me. Because I was walking distance, it was a must visit. Not sure if I'd drive into here, but do visit if you can get there via public transport.

Santa Fe Springs does some…read moreamazing things for the community like hosting the practice venue for the Masters of Harmony chorus and putting on a Christmas festival each December 1st at Town Center Hall. However, I wanted to leave a public comment on what is perhaps a glaring oversight on either the city of Santa Fe Springs, City of Norwalk, and/or LA County's behalf. If you look at the public transit rail system for Southern California, there is a place in Santa Fe Springs/Norwalk where they should have combined the LA Metrorail Green line station at Hoxie Avenue, Norwalk with the Amtrak station on Imperial Hwy to allow people from San Diego County and Orange County to access LAX and the LA Metrorail with better ease. If you look at a map (picture uploaded to this review), the stations are 10 minutes away from each other. Given this glaring oversight, at the very least, there needs to be another Green Line station at this Amtrak station to combine the public railway systems. It's a no-brainer that would have been done decades ago in any European country.
