By correcting my posture, and targeting weak muscle groups, the hand-tailored routine she created for me really did the trick! By continuing the exercises at home, I am stronger, more balanced, and most importantly, PAIN-FREE! Rest of the staff are pleasant, and seem to jibe well together, creating an all together pleasant atmosphere. Kim at the front desk is welcoming and efficient. Michael, the "assistant" for lack of a better word, is people-oriented and on task when it comes to cleaning and other job requirements (as was the young lady in that position today, whose name I did not catch). The music is pleasant. Place is small but never overcrowded. 2 nice bathrooms, and a water station so you can wet your whistle between reps. Can NOT recommend this place enough, especially my incredible therapist, my sensei, Ms. Stephanie.

From the time I started therapy, Justin guided me step-by-step through strengthening exercises and techniques that helped me to achieve full active motion in my right hip. He developed a personalized therapy plan for me which included, picture diagrams and demonstrated practical physical examples for me to safely follow at home and at the Athletico site. All my therapy was focused on eliminating pain and reducing the risk of any future injury. Not only did Justin provide me with excellent physical therapy, but the other Physical Therapy Clinicians, Carolina, Kristine, Yolanda, and other staff, Kim (Administrator), Danny (Assistant) were always friendly, encouraging, and inspired me to achieve my physical therapy goals. I developed an infection he completely ignored--no blood work, no PICC line, no sense of concern whatsoever. His ego clearly outweighs his concern for patient care. The way he talks down to hospital staff is just another reflection of his arrogance. I've been fighting this infection for nearly a year, and have to have the entire knee replacement removed due to his negligence. Thankfully the doctors at Rush Hospital in Chicago are now cleaning up his mess. Avoid him at all costs.

I met Dr. Mubarak through my insurance company, and am I glad I did. I can honestly say that his treatment plan has changed my life! I see him three days a week. When I started treatment late September, I was using a Walker to get around. Since this awesome professional came into my life, I am walking with a cane now. Talk about results! He is an excellent listener who knows his stuff. The therapy regimen is tough but necessary. The beautiful woman who works with him is so nice, professional, and reassuring that I feel like I'm visiting a family member every time I go. I could go on and on. This was a first visit and I was taken back with the lack of any ounce of empathy shown by the…read morestaff that we encountered from the receptionist to the medical assistants, nurses and lastly the doctor. 30 minutes after our appointment time we were shown into an exam room. The medical assistant required us as family to hold up the very elderly (95+} patient from a wheelchair 2 weeks after surgery while she yanked out 24 staples from the leg and hip area. There was some inflammation so she left in the middle of the extraction to find a nurse, while we stood holding up the patient. About 10 minutes later she returned. The nurse opened the door half way as our family member was held up by us in underwear and other patients and staff passed by the doorway. Really? She indicated an antibiotic was needed. After staples were extracted the medical assistant announced an x-ray was needed and if we thought the patient would be unable to maneuver alone we should come with to the x-ray room to help. Wow - very surprised at this requirement and the indifference shown. Medical assistant just stood by while we assisted for w-ray. Beyond surprised. Another 15 minutes before the Dr came in. Very cavalier and clearly had no clue who the patient was and any related information we needed from him for the antibiotic and further treatment plan in rehab and thereafter. He couldn't get out fast enough. Fundamental issue was not a shred of real care or concern. People mill. The prescription for antibiotics wasn't sent to the place we specified so took another day to track down where they sent it and have it redirected. All on us and the practice didn't help at all. Unfortunately have to go back for another checkup with this Dr and practice. At least our expectations of long wait times and dispassionate staff is known.
