The service and staff are amazing! The family like atmosphere amongst the tavern guests and staff is perfect for this neighborhood bar! But the best part is the icy cold frost beer mugs and the JACKPOTS!!!

We visited for lunch on Friday with a party of three and it was a nice experience, let's go with 4.5 stars. We entered and selected one of the two booths in a back corner near the bar. The place is pretty new and clean, with a huge bar, but sparse seating around the bar limited to high tables. We started with the Chicken Nachos appetizer, the serving size was very generous and the toppings plentiful. I would recommend this app. From there we ordered Classic Sliders, Little Devil Sliders, and a Cheesesteak. All were well prepared and tasty. Their margaritas were nice and strong. My son had a Space Dust on tap, and enjoyed it. The bartenders/waitresses were friendly and pleasant. The only issue we had was that one went to eat her lunch and the other became scarce for a period of time when we were hoping for refills. It wasn't overly excessive, but I was hoping for another drink. Overall: Nice place to stop for drinks and pub food.

Came in to check out the NEW PT'S Gold in the neighborhood on 3/18 Thursday around 5pm. The place is SO new must have opened earlier this month. Very friendly staff greeting you as you walk in. It was pretty full today. Happy Hour 5-7 pm for drinks & a reverse happy hour too. We tried the Bacon Blue Burger with sweet potato fries, & Pub Classic burger with onion rings! Also tried the Street Corn Fritters. Both burgers were delicious! Both came with 2patties! Burgers cooked to perfection, & plenty of sauce! Onion rings were so good! Corn Fritters were great too. The only thing I could say about the sweet potato fries, they were "slightly under done". But I still ate them. Next time will get those onion rings! All the staff were friendly & took care of the patrons. Looking forward to returning to try something else. Thank you for coming to our neighborhood- it's a nice addition! Food is GREAT!

Waited 45 minutes for this delight... Cheese wasn't even melted.

Absolute Garbage! I've been here a few times. The service is slow. The food is mediocre at best. The bar. Itself is nice, they did a great job with this location. But what they can't get right is staffing and the kitchen. Tonight takes the cake. 45 minutes for little devils (three sliders and a side of fries). The manager had to help the kitchen cook? Seriously? When the food finally came out, it was warm. Warm fries, unmelted cheese and burnt sliders (blackend or so they say). Bummer. At least the beer was cold.

The waitress arrived and took orders, their margaritas are tall and refreshing. We started with Chicken Nachos. They were constructed strangely, they put the refried beans on the plate itself, under the chips and other ingredients. You had to lift up the nachos to scrape the beans off the plate. We then went with the Ribeye Steak and Chicken and Waffles. The steak was cooked beautifully. They initially brought out hot honey instead of syrup for the waffles, which was confusing. Their "Hash Browns" are actually potato sticks. There were only 2 women working as servers/bartenders, so the speed of the service was a bit slow. We ended up waiting quite a while for the check. Overall, not a bad spot for a bite and a drink.

My friend Dana said, "Hey, there's a local restaurant near me that I go to all the time... and…read morethey're having a FREE BBQ Saturday night!" Free BBQ?!? It didn't take much to twist my husband's arm... though we weren't 100% that this would be anything much... because, as my husband said, "Nothing's free... and what do they get out of it? and how are they doing this... in this economy?" We arrived promptly at 4PM, because we knew it was "first come first served"... they had a DJ and a TON of games, raffles, free alcoholic beverages, swag (tshirts, beer cozies, pins, stickers, custom-designed etched wine glasses), various stations of fun activities... and... the entire restaurant was part of this... So of course we sat our party of 5 at a table in the main restaurant section... and proceeded to... order full meals and drinks from the menu. Listen, the prices are RIGHT, the food looked incredible, and technically they weren't going to serve the BBQ until 5:30... so... we figured we'd have an hour and a half to digest. I ordered a salad though... because I was dead set on some ribs or pulled pork or something... BBQ-y. My husband ordered the BLT with tater tots, and others in our party ordered sandwiches, fried raviolis, among other items like martinis, lemonade. Our waitress was so attentive and darling, really took care of us the entire time. At 5:30 the BBQ happened. Myself and one other from our party were ready, whilst everyone else had already had their fill with the menu items. But boy did they regret the fact that there was no more room in their bellies... because the BBQ spread was INCREDIBLE: A full salad with all the fixings, RIBS (!!), hamburgers (full size, wonderful patties!), hot dogs (delicious!), chili, mac'n'cheese, watermelon... my goodness it was an immense spread. And all was cooked superbly! And again, plenty of free alcohol as well. As I spoke to the other locals around the BBQ, I kept hearing exactly what my friend Dana said, "We live 5 minutes away... we come here ALL the time... we LOVE this place!" The vibe was COMMUNITY-CENTERED... it was obvious... and as the raffle winners were called, the entire place exploded into claps and whistles as each of the winners' names were called. Golden Knights jerseys, golf caddies, backpacks... it was all soo lovely, but those prizes were just icing on the cake... a "cake" consisting of a true LOCAL restaurant and it's COMMUNITY... each expressing their support for each other. My husband and I were floored. And humbled to see the entire event play out.... something you don't see enough of anymore. May Summit Tavern continue to enjoy their success in the neighborhood, and may other establishments learn from Summit Tavern's success! And THANK YOU... for a wonderful evening, Summit Tavern staff and all who made the night truly special.

Squidlett and hubs took me out for lunch today. So I got my old and creaky a** in their vehicle…read moreand we drove down here, located right off of Cheyenne and across from Mountain view . We got there around 12ish and only a couple folks at the bar and the waitres/bartender was dealing with large take out orders. The place is huge, separate dining area in the back past the bar. Traditional gaming setup at the bar(15 machines interspaced around) lots of high tops in the bar area and a nice patio around the building . I think the patio is dog friendly. So we ordered the variety show as an app. Gigundo pretzel filled with cheese curds, fried pickles, pigs in the blanket etc. ordered the cheese fondue as a dipping sauce. Quite frankly we were filled up just nibbling on that and we really didn't even make a dent in it. For the mains (we knew would probably just go home as takeout).... Squidlett ordered the BLT. (Must of had 8oz bacon on it) with fries. Hubs had the brisket sandwich with home made chips. The brisket was cut in cubes and short strips and was juicy and a fairly large portion. I had the perfect smashy, two patties with tomato and onion and sauce. Probably about 6-8 ounces of beef. Aldo with the homemade chips. Hubs and I each had a beer from their large selection. All in all, probably a 4.75 star meal but since they gave us a 20.00 sign up discount and applied a generous military discount, we were super happy and will definitely return. The bartender says it's busier in the evenings and depending what's going on across the street at the hospital. The have "hoppy hours" and DLL sorts of specials. A good place to pass a few hours me thinks!

The George is one of those places where I really wanted the food to match the environment…read more The atmosphere is great. Tons of TVs, a beautiful space, indoor and outdoor seating, and a really good setup for catching a game over breakfast, brunch, or drinks. Being Vegas, the patio is still a little ambitious in early October, so we stayed inside and had a great time watching the game. Unfortunately, the food itself landed firmly in the "average" category for me, especially for the price. I ordered the avocado toast with lox and poached eggs. At roughly $23 for avocado toast, the details matter.(the eggs and salmon bring it from $16 to $23) First problem: the toast wasn't really toast. It was a nice, thick piece of whole wheat bread, but mine wasn't actually toasted. That immediately took away the texture you want from avocado toast. The avocado itself also tasted more like a prepared avocado spread than fresh avocado. I've seen what comes from restaurant vendors and suppliers out here and most certainly can say it comes from a plastic squeezable pouch). I obviously can't say what they're using in the kitchen, but the flavor was extremely muted. At this price point, I'd much rather see fresh avocado, even roughly smashed with some herbs and seasoning. The lox tasted good, but the presentation felt thrown together. The microgreens amounted to maybe 10-12 little sprigs, and I counted about three pieces of sun-dried tomato. Neither needs to overwhelm the dish, but there should be enough to actually experience those flavors throughout the meal. Then came the eggs. I specifically ordered them poached medium and asked for more of a jammy center. My server was great about it and assured me that wouldn't be a problem. Unfortunately, the first eggs arrived significantly undercooked. When I cut into them, the whites were still runny and essentially collapsed onto the plate. I sent them back, and the replacements were much better. Even the side of fruit missed the mark. It was basically red grapes and strawberries, and several of the grapes were already soft and past their prime. Again, individually these are small things. But when breakfast items are running roughly $16-$30, those small things become the difference between an average breakfast and one that justifies the price. Two of us walked out around $80 before tip for breakfast, and that's where I struggled with the experience. I'm perfectly willing to pay more for great food. But the ingredients, preparation, portions, and execution have to support the price. The George isn't a quick food-hall stop. It's a beautiful full-service restaurant inside Durango Resort, and the atmosphere absolutely feels like it. I just wish the breakfast coming out of the kitchen matched it. Great environment. Good menu ideas. Friendly service. But based on this visit, the actual food quality and execution were mid-tier at best. For me, that's a solid 3 stars. There's enough here that I'd give The George another shot, but next time I'm ordering something completely different.

I came before the first UNLV game of the season and boy was it crowded which was to be expected but that doesn't take away from the fact that it was very, very crowded. There was a very long line to get beer from the bar though I found you could just go to the other side of the bar and order as well which was nice. It was pretty much standing room only unless you got a table and were eating and again, that was a very long wait. It could have just seemed extra crowded because about a third of this location was rented out for a private party but then again I could also see that being the case almost every game, though I could be wrong. I could be wrong but I feel like the drinks at this location, compared to their other locations around the valley, are more expensive. It makes sense, but it's also really stupid if that's the case. I had a few drinks and had a good time here with my friends but it was mostly just a watering hole before the game so we didn't have to pay stadium prices.
