She is very thorough with parents, giving you a breakdown of what they worked on during the session. She usually leaves you with some sort of "homework" to complete before the next session. When we were seeking a tutor for one our children, she had a great recommendation for someone that would mesh with my child's needs. We started speech therapy here when the school district could not work with our daycare/work schedule to provide speech services. Ms. Lindsay has been very personable and made a great connection to my child. She breaks speech sounds down in a way that my preschooler (and me) understands. Three weeks later I was able to swallow 40 times per minute. Not to mention my speech has drastically improved. I felt that our baby was being handled with care. We were given clear directions and were even allowed to record the session! The office was very clean & they even offered complimentary coffee/tea/flavored water, etc. The price was very reasonable, and I felt we got our money's worth out of the appointment. My baby was eight days old when we visited Dr. Beckman. He did not have a consistent latch and was…read morestarting to lose weight. Thus, we started to bottle feed with donor milk. I was very concerned that he would not Want me after receiving a bottle. Dr. Beckman was cheerful, humble, knowledgeable and very positive that 1) baby was born knowing how to latch on to me...we just needed to remind him. And 2) baby should have no problem switching back-and-forth between nipple and bottle it was just a matter of strengthening the muscles that were weak. That was such a relief for a first time mommy. She went though a series of simple tests and gave us exercises to practice. Three days later he had his first decent latch. And ever since then it's been getting better and more consistent with longer stretches of time. We are not even two weeks since our visit with Dr. Beckman and today we've done more breast-feeding than pumping! Dr. Beckman and associates are professional, friendly, and prompt. Her process is backed by science and research, and carried out with kindness and compassion. I would highly recommend this office. Baby and I are forever grateful.
