Thoughtful and caring visit. He listened to the issues about my foot. Many pointers were given.

Let me start by saying this was a first-time appointment because my insurance dropped my doctor for…read moresome reason. I was actually glad I had made the change. I was asked all the right questions, they took x-rays, did a thorough exam, and made me feel like my previous doctor just might have fallen into a rut of seeing me every 8 weeks, cutting my nails, and collecting his money. I know time will tell but I think I might be in better hands here at Happy Feet. There will be one thing I will miss from the old place. When he was done, he always rubbed lotion on your feet. Maybe Happy Feet will read this and take the hint. All in all, for a first-time visit from the person on the telephone to the people to the front desk and the folks I met in the back plus I, can't forget the doctor I gave to give them all 5***** and trust me that's something coming from this old grouch. When I asked if this was a possibility six weeks ago, I was told it wasn't possible. Please don't make the same mistake I made, trust YOUR gut. Now I wait six more weeks to see if I need surgery. Very frustrating and disappointing.

This is the place to make your feet truly happy. The staff…read moreis very friendly and professional. I've been going for my feet for over 10 years especially in the Wesley Chappel area. I ll go no where else. I give well deserved kudos to Brennan DPM and Ms Mosse, the foot tech and clipper. They truly make my feet happy and pain free.

I called Healthy Feet Podiatry today hoping to schedule an appointment. I knew calling on a…read moreThursday for a Friday appointment was a long shot, so I was completely fine waiting. In fact, I suggested scheduling two weeks out because Fridays work best for me and I already have another doctor's appointment in the Wesley Chapel area. From the very beginning of the call, I didn't feel like Melissa was listening to me. I clearly explained that I wanted a Friday appointment at the Wesley Chapel location, yet she continued offering appointments on different days and at other locations. I had to repeat myself multiple times. It felt like she was more focused on filling the next available opening than listening to what I was actually asking for. The next issue involved my insurance. This part was my fault. I'm on my husband's insurance for the first time in my life, so I wasn't familiar with the process. When Melissa asked for my husband's name and date of birth, I didn't understand why that information was necessary. Instead of taking a moment to explain it differently, she repeated the same answer over and over. When I said I still didn't understand and asked if someone else in the office could explain it another way, she resisted my request. I wasn't asking because I wanted a different answer--I was asking because I thought someone else might explain it in a way that made more sense to me. I asked multiple times to speak with someone else, and each time my request seemed to be brushed aside. I also asked if we could simply schedule the appointment and finish the insurance information when I came into the office after confirming everything with my husband. That request was also denied. At one point, I became so frustrated that I said I would just take my business somewhere else. The response I received was simply, "Okay." There was no attempt to understand why I was frustrated, no effort to resolve the situation, and no sense that keeping me as a patient mattered. Eventually, after asking for the third time to speak with someone else, I was placed on hold for over 10 minutes. No one ever came to the phone, so I finally hung up. This experience wasn't about office policy. I understand policies exist, and I have no issue providing whatever information is required. It was about customer service. As patients, we're not just appointments on a schedule or tasks to complete before the end of the day. We're people. Sometimes we don't understand something, and we simply need someone to slow down, listen, and explain it differently. Throughout this entire interaction, I never felt heard. I never felt like Melissa showed any compassion or tried to understand where I was coming from. Instead, I felt like I was expected to either comply immediately or move on. A little patience, empathy, and active listening would have completely changed this experience.

In contrast to the existing one-star reviews for Dr. Friedman, I had a fabulous experience here. I…read moreneeded an ingrown toenail removed. I arrived early and filled out my HIPPA forms, then, at the appointment time, I was invited into the office by the nurse. It was nice to be treated with respect for my time, unlike some medical practitioners who are chronically late and keep me waiting way past my appointment time. Dr. Friedman came in promptly, found out what I needed, made a suggestion at my request, then promptly got to work. He had his nurse lay out all the surgical instruments for the toenail removal, then he returned (about 15 seconds after the nurse departed) and started the process. The anesthetic worked perfectly and my toenail was off in less than a minute after he started the removal. His nurse returned to finish up the process with instructions on cleaning and bandaging the toe. She was very helpful. She even called me the next day to make certain everything was going well. I was out of the office with a bandaged toe about 15 minutes after my appointment time. I plan to return to this office should I ever need more foot care. I enjoyed the experience.

He is an amazing doctor and I truly hate that he cannot be my doctor anymore. His office staff is another matter! I was recently hospitalized with osteomyelitis (bone infection in my foot). Upon being released, I was told by the hospital to contact my foot doctor to be seen in the next couple of days. When I contacted their office (3 times) I was told there are no appointments until FEBRUARY! There are no built in slots for emergencies! I tried to explain the urgency of being seen and was not given any consideration. I truly regret having to find another doctor, but this is totally unacceptable!
