When you are stuck in the whirlwind of details, preparation, paranoia and caring for the love of…read moreyour life you are asked to do one small other thing before your bouncing baby tax deductions comes popping out from behind the fleshy curtain. Find the Doctor to care for your sick child and ensure his/her well being. Oh. Is that all? How in the heck do I ever start to do that? In my case it started with talking with friends and co-workers who have children. As I hunted the elusive prey one name popped up several times, Dr. Kathleen Hutchinson and the folks at Evergreen Pediatrics. It took one phone call and arrange for her to be our Tax Deduction's Doctor. After he came flopping out of The Wife the people at Evergreen were all over making sure he was healthy (unfortunately they couldn't do much about the quaking mass of paranoia that was at the time his new Father). Not just Dr. Hutchinson, but several of the Doctors were involved in his first couple of days on the planet. Since then, through colds, ear infections, sinus infections and one particularly scary incident to us as new parents it's been all Dr. Hutchinson and her nurse, Dorothy. I couldn't say enough about them or recommend them highly enough. Even if you call the emergency number late, she calls fast enough to make your head spin and follows up the next day if you have to see another Doctor. So next time you find yourself knocked up in the 'Couve and need a good Doctor might I suggest this one?

I made a special trip a week and a half BEFORE my kids' appointments to fill out the paperwork to…read morerequest their records - specifically their immunization records - and stressed the importance of getting those BEFORE their appointments. The day before I check to make sure they've got them but, no. They don't seem to have them on file. The person on the phone then launches into a "It's not our fault" BS excuse. I'm sorry, if you have had the paperwork for a week and a half and you want to actually give patients an acceptable level of care, it IS your responsibility to request the records and follow up on it BEFORE the appointment so you're not wasting everyone's time AND money with a worthless appointment that was made specifically to get caught up on immunizations. My search for a solid pediatrician's office in Chehalis/Centralia continues. It's ridiculous how poor the quality of care is in this area. This is the third clinic that has dropped the ball.

Our daughter is one and we have brought her here since she was born. We love this office. The staff…read moreis friendly and are very nice to my daughter (and us). We always have lots of questions when we bring her in for her well check ups and we have never felt rushed. As far as wait time goes, it's pretty much non existent, but we usually plan her appointments when school is in session, so that might have something to do with it. I would definitely recommend CCC to my friends, in the year that we have taken our daughter there, they have gone above and beyond for us.

I have been a patient of Dr. Speakers for a long time and both my children since birth. We love…read moreher and have always had good experiences at Creekside. I just saw Dr. Speaker recently and she didn't mention the new concierge decision. She is changing her practice to this new concierge model (basically only for the rich) which leaves us now without a PCP as of September. She could have told me in person when myself and my kids were there. To give me a heads up so I could start looking for a new provider (considering how difficult it is to get in with anyone these days and when you do get an appointment it is at least 6-9 months out). Now I will experience a delay in my healthcare and most likely be without my meds until I can get established somewhere else. I never imagined being a middle class, hard working person with decent insurance wouldn't be enough to keep basic healthcare at Creekside. I am shocked at this decision. I didn't think Dr. Speaker was the kind of person who would abandon her patients simply because they can't afford it. Shameful! With everything happening in our country and the direction healthcare is going, we did not need this too. This is painful and heartbreaking to myself and I'm sure many other long time patients of hers. I am sure I don't understand all the factors in this decision but from the patient side, it's a heavy blow. Jodi F.

I needed to get Creekside's physical address to put on a form. I was stunned to notice a one-star…read morereview of Creekside. And, as I read further, I noticed others. I am shocked as I have never had an unpleasant experience with the office staff nor Dr. Speaker. They are always warm, gracious and helpful. Dr. Speaker is a teacher at heart, as well as someone who works above and beyond for the patient. I'm fortunate in that a I don't need to go often but when I use the portal monthly to get prescription refills she responds right away with answers to any questions about insurance and options, if necessary. When I have my yearly physical, Dr. Speaker spends so much time with me that I begin to feel uncomfortable that we're holding up other patients waiting to see her - she is that thorough and present. And often I will walk out with referrals to specialists or names of someone/something in the community that may help. In summary, I can't say enough about Dr. Speaker. I don't know for sure how long I have been seeing her - probably around 20 years. In my 78 years I have been seen by many doctors, Dr. Speaker is the best at listening, teaching, responding and overall empathy to my health. And Nadia at the front desk knows me and greets me so warmly as do the other office staff and nurses. Gail Grinder
