I had a frozen shoulder and went to a big PT practice where I was in a room with many other patients.

I know the Office Manager and therapist spend time getting this all approved. I'd like to especially thanks my current therapist Brita who has been patiently working on my knee and back issues for several months off and on . She took over my case when my insurance Cigna became difficult on who was allowed to provide therapy. So she is qualified. Regardless of how busy she is, never fails to greet you cheerfully, checks to see how you are feeling and listens to any specific issues and works on them. She provided tips for homework and very easy finish instructions for exercises. Also no matter how busy she watches each of her patients and makes sure exercises are being done properly and heat and ice are provided. And never fails to say goodbye . I definitely leave better than when I arrive I can definitely recommend this facility and Brita in particular. Located in Reston off of Fox Mill. Very convenient parking. Shout out to Deana The Office Manager who is awesome. Rely on her to get approvals . BTW she also can spot when you are slacking off

About the location itself, I immediately was aware of how friendly and attentive all the people there seemed to be. The facility itself is attractive, full of light, and has a very positive vibe to it. About the therapy, my therapist knew more about the anatomy and movement of the knee and surrounding areas than I could imagine. He performed a series of massages, movements, exercises, and other treatments explaining at each step what it was meant to accomplish. He was very clear about how to approach the rehab process and answered every question I had. He also laid out a carefully thought out home exercise program that I followed fully. My recovery has progressed very well and exceeded expectations. It has been an excellent experience and I highly recommend VTFC and Larry Grine as a PT.

I've already tried physical therapy at other places, and I was mainly looking for more guidance getting back to exercise without triggering dizziness and pain. But Justin Geisler has done more than just get me exercising again - I am completely set on the path to recovery. My symptoms are literally disappearing. The dizziness that had been constant for 18 months just gets triggered by certain activities now. I don't think I've taken pain medication once since starting here. I'm traveling and working more. I do still get symptoms, but they are manageable and they don't flare for a week after doing activities I previously avoided. All of the staff is kind and helpful. Justin is extremely competent and encouraging. He also has reframed my perspective and taught me how my injury and recovery work. (edited to add): I had such a good experience doing physical therapy here that when I was looking for a vestibular therapist a few months later, I didn't even shop around. Melissa immediately addressed my bppv with the epley maneuver. She knew a lot of tests to figure out what other things could be contributing to my vertigo and dizziness. I am seeing quick improvement with how I feel and with how I am able to progress the vestibular exercises. She also does dry needling and manual therapy on my neck. I am continually impressed with the level of competence and care of everyone at VTFC, especially compared to my past therapists and those of people I know. Both the manual therapy and exercise portion are one-on-one with your provider. For the vestibular therapy, other people seem to do one balance test and say you're fine if you don't fall. I was worried the same thing would happen when I had my initial vestibular evaluation here - I was keeping my balance with the first few tests and they weren't even triggering obvious symptoms. But Melissa kept going through different tests and identified where the vestibular system wasn't functioning well.

It astounds me the differences in care and attention you can get in various PT offices/companies for the same amount of $$ - this PT office tops them all by far, in every category. It has made such a difference in me understanding my injuries and getting better (I had some significant injuries, and I'm obviously not young, so it is taking a while). Dr. Kecman is very skilled with dry needling too, and has provided me with much relief!

I have seen almost all of the physical therapists, exercise specialists, and front desk staff members in the one-plus years that I have been in physical therapy here. This is the best physical therapy practice I have ever been with for my needs, and for recovering from surgery or injuries. My primary physical therapists were Claire and Jessica, and they're both outstanding. Additionally, I saw Mike, Bianca, Garrett, and Macie, and they all assisted me in my recovery. Justin, Rachel, Chartise, and a few others assisted with my exercise treatments after I saw my physical therapist each day. The front desk staff couldn't have been any better, from Madeline leading the way to Melina and Rylie and others following with any of my needs, from scheduling to rescheduling to handling insurance concerns and figuring out whether appealing would allow me to, yeah, more physical therapy while recovering from my dual back surgeries. When I first came here for physical therapy, I told them that they had big shoes to fill because I hadn't had success with any other physical therapy practice in Virginia. They certainly went above and beyond to resolve my pain during surgical recoveries, as well as working to avoid surgery in different areas of my body. If you need physical therapy, this is the place to come, and I can honestly say that hands-down! I highly recommend giving them a shot for all your needs.
