Where to start. When my kids and I came in we were greeted immediately. There was an issue with their fan or heater and there was a very loud clunking sound for a minute. The hostess apologized immediately and offered us a table in a quite spot but said it was going it happen til it was fixed. Honestly it wasn't that big of deal. We ordered a large salad to share and drinks. The kids were super happy, the salad was cold and crisp. Lots of extra toppings. The waitress/hostess even brought extra salad dressing for us since she knew we were sharing. We ordered the meat pizza. Now the wait did take a bit but it was well worth it. The pizza was fresh and tasty, thin crust but lots of flavor. They were not greedy with ingredients and it was so good. It tasted of a homemade pizza, definitely not commercial. All in all we took half of the pizza home and ate it later that night. It was just as good. We will return and possible try another flavor pizza but if not, this was the way to go. Price wise, was a little more expensive than ordering commercial pizza but the experience, service and flavor was well worth the extra money. read more

I have been going to Pryor`s Pizza in Rolla since I was ten years old, I am now sixty-three. The pizza was always my favorite in the state. I recently had the same pizza I had been getting there for over fifty years. I never thought I would say this but based on my most recent experience this Pizza is now my least favorite in the state. It was clear to me the new owners do not care about the quality of their food. It is sad to see the brand Martha and Doyle worked so hard to establish has deteriorated so much. read more

Thin crust pizza, cut in squares, is my jam! I was really impressed with the quality of the food. The pizza was hot and fresh, made just the way I liked. The server did a wonderful job and was attentive, the only complaint I would have is there was too much cheese on the salad and not enough dressing. But the pizza made up for it. We were a group of four people having pizza in mid afternoon. The restaurant was nearly empty so it was easy to get quick service. However the kitchen was having air-conditioning problems, and evidently the restaurant had to close an hour after we left. We ordered pizzas and calzones. The pizzas were a better choice, and we had both deluxe pizzas and a pepperoni pizza on a gluten-free crust. That cauliflower crust was surprisingly good, and at least based on a small sample, every bit as tasty as the regular crust. There was also a small salad bar which we did not use. Our server was friendly and prompt. We all enjoyed our experience. The price was somewhat high for the amount of food. read more

Pryor's Pizza! I have been wanting to try this place for a long time, and tonight I got my chance, what a DISAPPOINTMENT! The restaurant was clean, and the young lady came right over and got our drink orders while we checked out the menu, so we had the Salad Bar (1 Trip) 1 order of Cheesy Bread Sticks and a Large Deluxe Pizza. Let's start with the Salad Bar. I had to ask the young lady who was working the floor if they could put out some Fresh Lettuce, the lettuce that was there was getting brown and nasty looking. The salad bar is small, it could use a few more things like Shredded Carrot, Cucumbers and some Bacon Bits. The Cheesy Bread Sticks, I had to laugh, Really? 4 little bread sticks for 6.00 dollars, Oily, No Taste, you would think they would use some garlic and oregano, something to give them some flavor. The Deluxe Pizza! Very small compared to Imo's Extra Lare Deluxe (16 inches) This pizza tasted like it was made for a nursing home, very bland, not very many toppings, some of the pieces just had cheesy and nothing else, very poor excuse for a Deluxe Pizza, Imo's has a 14 inch Deluxe for 16.50 and you charged us 22.00 for 13 inch nursing home pizza (bland no taste) Let's talk Crust , while the edges were crispy, the center was nasty! you couldn't even pick up a piece without it falling apart due to being so thin and greasy. The Pizza Sauce lacked flavor, it tastes like plain tomato sauce, absolutely no flavor! This is the worst Pizza Dinner I have ever had, I expected so much more. What a DISAPPOINT! 1) Upgrade your Salad Bar (Carrots, Cucumbers and Bacon Bits) 5.50 is fine for a salad, but 12.00 dollars for unlimited, No Way! not for that salad bar, it doesn't offer anything, for what you offer, 5.50 for unlimited and 3.50 for 1 trip to the salad bar would be more like it. 2) Use some Italian Spices in your Pizza, Sauce and on your Breads. Your a Pizza restaurant, not a nursing home, spice things up! get people talking. 3) Up the Size of your Pizzas, Off a 16 inch A lot of room for improvements, I hope you make some. Passing through town, we stopped to grab a pepperoni and deluxe. Both were great. The dough, cheese, and sause were tasty and combined good.

So I stoped in and got 3 slices of pizza and when I started to eat it the bottom was burnt now when they had the restaurant not the food truck. The food was good when something is burnt it's better and taste like crap all I can say is I hope they find a place because what they're selling now is not worth it read more

Pryor's pizza is my all-time favorite. For the uninitiated, it's a thin crust pizza. However, it's not a crispy thin crust. You can (and should) roll a piece up for an optimum eating experience. Never Judge a book by its cover! From the outside this little pizza place doesn't look like much. In fact for years I have driven right past it time and time again when in Rolla. The Pizza is by far one of the best in the Rolla area. Nothing special in terms of options outside pizza. This is a pizza stop and I believe Pizza and Salad are the only 2 menu options. $1.50 for a canned soda is a little steep but still leaving this at 5 stars for the excellent Pizza. This is not a dine in quick stop. You can expect 20-30 minute wait for food when it's empty inside simply because they make it fresh for you! Really? I'm the first? Wow. That's kinda amazing. This place is one of my family favs. They have a thin crust pizza with burnt edges (yes burnt as in good burnt). I remember back when Old Man Pryor ran this joint and it wasn't as "run down" looking with a homey feel to it. You could go in order a pizza, carve your name on their old tin pizza pans ( I don't think you were suppose to.), play the jukebox, and laugh with friends in this little parlor. First let me say that no pizza ever stacks up to Pryor's pizza in my book. I live in St Louis and there have been times when a buddy of mine go on a day trip to Rolla SOLELY for the purpose of getting Pizza at Pryor's. Also, in my book, the best is plain old pepperoni! I've been going to Pryor's since I was a child. It was a special treat while visiting my grandparents. Let me back up. My parents grew up around the Belle, MO area. Rolla was the town to go to! I've heard stories of mass amounts of people leaving the Drive In Theater early and try to get to Pryor's "ahead of the crowd." My parents went on dates in this very same fashion. They introduced my sister and I to Pryor's at a nice early age. It was always a special treat and sometimes before leaving my grandparents I remember literally begging to go the 30 minutes out of our way to Rolla before heading home to Washington MO. According to my grandfather, Mr. Pryor offered to sell the recipe and store to him! Unfortunately for my grandfather (and the rest of the family!), he had to turn down the offer. I don't have children of my own but I have introduced Pryor's to a few friends along the way. Everyone agrees. Great pizza. As a matter of fact, I just got off the phone with Pryor's. I called to see if they were open on Memorial Day. I'll be visiting family in Springfield and fully intend on stopping for a pizza on the way back to St. Louis. But I don't think I'm gonna tell the rest of my family. There could be a riot. I would stop at Pryor's on the way down to Springfield too, but I'll be going through Rolla before Pryor's is open. Besides, if my family knew, they would have me pick up at least a dozen half-baked pizzas to bring down and cook over the weekend! This is how much we love Pryor's Pizza. read more

Pizza was good staff was friendly but overworked because we were forgotten about for a while. Which brings me to what seems to be the biggest issue especially when talking with other guests. If you like cheese and uncooked crust, this is the place for you! I'm surprised they are allowed to even call it pizza. Had to order a side of sauce for the sauceless, uncooked concoction they brought to the table. Also, the place looks like it hasn't been remodeled or cleaned since the 1800s when it opened. Grime on the walls, crumbs on the sticky tables, and decor could have been found in my great great great grannies great grandmas house. I'll be visiting the frozen pizza section in Walmart before paying this place another visit. Oh, and if you need to use the restroom, which you will after eating whatever you put in your mouth from this place, wait until you get home. The bathroom there is less than adequate. A porta potty makes this place look nice. Won't be returning for any reason. read more

We have been wanting to try this place for a really long time. We were very disappointed. We waiting for about 45 minutes for the pizza to come out. Then there was way too much cheese on it, the mushrooms were jar mushrooms and were not distributed on the pizza very good at all. They were in huge globs on pieces and then other slices didn't have any mushrooms. Then there were several pieces that the crust was not cooked through. Highly disappointed in this place. We were driving through Missouri from Chicago and wanted some pizza to take back to our hotel. Looked up reviews for local pizza places and Pryor's had the best reviews so we called ahead and ordered so we could pick it up on our way to the hotel. The reviews said it takes a while to get your pizza. Pretty much the only complaint that's why we ordered while we were still driving. Said it would take 25-30 mins and that's when we would arrive so it worked out perfect! Best pizza we've had since we moved to Chicago from Arizona. A friend new i loved New Jersey style thin crust pizzeria style pizza and thought I would find Pryor's a close match. Sorry, not even close. Not oily like New Jersey, New York, and a strange texture to the crust - crumbly like a cracker. If you are a true pizza connoisseur, and love New York, New Jersey style pizza, this is NOT the place for you. Even Casey's is closer to what you are looking for. Alexes, Penelope and Imo's are yet further. It you are looking for true New Jersey style pizza (the best in the world), you are out of luck in Rolla. Closest is Caseys and it is a long way off. Thin crust is tasty, but too stuffed with toppings to hold the Chicago slices in one hand. Just right. Break down and use a fork. Don't look for jalapeños here. Just the basics.
