We had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Carolyn, who was one of the friendliest and most welcoming small business owners I've met. She happily answered all of my questions about how she hand-pours her candles, where she gets inspiration for new scents, and what goes into the candle-making process. As a former chef, I always enjoy hearing the passion behind someone's craft, and Carolyn's love for what she does really shines through. The shop is filled with incredible fragrances in all kinds of sizes and unique designs. It was honestly hard to choose a favorite because they all smelled amazing! One of my favorite parts of the visit was seeing that her workshop is connected to a space where her family can be close while she works. We even got to meet her adorable family, and her sons proudly told us they're the "official sniffers" who approve her new scents before they make it to the shelves. That personal touch made the experience even more special. If you're in Jackson--or making the trip for the famous baked goods next door at 4 Mile Bakery--do yourself a favor and stop into Reiter Ridge Candles. For fishing supplies they have good low cost live bait, bobbers, line and other accessories. On the gun side for a small country bait shop I call the selection adequate. Prices on guns could be better compared to other locations not far away. But I understand the overhead cost in operating a small shop like this. They usually have a good supply of ammo and regularly have sales. 22 long rifle and 22 magnum are in stock frequently as of this review. I did an online firearm transfer through this shop a couple years ago with no hassle. $30 transfer fee which is normal and fair. Even with ammo prices at a slight premium I like supporting this local landmark.
