I want to first say I have know this owner for over 10 years. Sometimes when you want to believe or…read moresee the good in someone you overlook "ANY OR ALL" allegations towards them. In all my years know him I received 2-3 messages Regarding Mr Dominic K. Tamin and how he is fraudulent in his conduct when it comes to his customers money and real estate affairs. One email or Direct Message I received was from someone we knew mutually that Mr. Tamin so called help with their family member to purchase a home. The transaction did not go well and Mr Tamin was taken to court for swindling someone out of their money. Just two years ago, I received another inbox to not having any dealings with Mr TAMIN because this woman accused Mr. TAMIN of cheating her out of money as well and that they were going to court for his lack of professionalism and this what it said: I'm reaching out to advise you of our mutual acquaintance Dominic Tamin. My goal is to prevent others from getting SCAMMED and VICTIMIZED like I have. In 2015 my friend at the time Dominic reached out to me, business owner to business owner asking me to sponsor and assist in the funding of his yearly "African Entertainment Award Show". It appeared to me that there was no need to question Dominic's characteristics and accomplishments. At the time I knew him to be a Tax Accountant, Home Owner of multiple properties, Math School Teacher, Event Promoter, CEO of Empak Corp, Empak Music and so on. I viewed this as a variety means of income in which there should be no problem with repayment of the loan. Boy was I wrong! I made the mistake of loaning Dominic $10,000 which was due to be paid in its entirety by Nov.14th 2015. Over a period of months, after the due date, I received small payments, and large excuses from Dominic. He asked me to wait until he received his tax refund (he told me he did taxes, so I thought this was reasonable). 2016 and 2017 has come and gone. It is now 2018 in which I am still owed $7,750 including interest and attorney fees. I hired an attorney and we filed a complaint against him in Special Civil Court in Newark. He filed for bankruptcy. Dominic expresses interest in the Empowerment of Women; however, I am the mother of two boys under two years old in which he has taken from. His two children are well taken care of and I am happy for them; however, my children do not have these same benefits, as Dominic refused to pay the money that he owes me. All children should be treated equally, what makes his children more important than mine? I question how so many people, including Congressmen and Mayors, support this self entitled "BillionDollarMan" after he fails to keep his word and pay back an investor. I also have difficulty understanding how he takes vacations, pays his bills and sleeps well at night knowing how he has betrayed me. This situation has ruined my trust in many ways. He came to me, I didn't come to him. As a women, I work hard for every dollar that I make, only to have given my money away to this self proclaimed "Community Supporter". Apparently, hard working black women with two children are not part of the community that he supports. When Dominic came to me in need, I assisted with no hesitation. My children and I are now in need in which I hope that he finds it in his heart to pay back what is rightfully mine. And to all of Dominic's acquaintances I hope you might either convince your friend to repay me, stop supporting any and all of his business ventures or simply beware of being taken advantage of like me. If this out cry for help to get my money back doesn't work, I sure hope that Karma does. (PLEASE SHARE/REPOST) Thanks for listening. Also I have to share my store which happened just over the weekend. I usually have Mr TAMIN do my taxes and I always trusted him. Until this past weekend $430.00 was withdrawn from my checking account for tax preparation fees done back in February 2020 (which I have yet to receive my tax refund and it is going into September). usually the amount is taken from the top of my refund. I spoke with Mr Tamin pertaining the transaction and I said to him, "What was this about if the payment was due to come off the top of my refund check?" Mr. Tamin just ignored me and said it was being handled on his end. I was left with nothing and I am a single hard working mother of two and every money get counts. COVID HAS SHOWN PEOPLE TRUE COLORS. I would say if you want your money please don't deal with Mr. TAMIN or Empak. You will definitely end broke and out of money. I would think twice. He is about himself and for himself. If you are not knowledgeable about real estate, taxes or anything dealing with finances he will find a a way to get over.
