I submitted certified-mail receipts, timelines, CFPB documents, and call transcripts showing multiple FDCPA/FCRA issues with the collector, yet she still advised me to call the collection agency again -- even though doing so can harm a consumer under the FDCPA and may reset certain timelines. She also told me my credit report was "accurate," even though the collector (in my view) committed multiple violations, including: * reporting two different balances, * failing to validate the debt (§1692g), * reporting during an active dispute (§1692g(b)), * failing to mark the debt as disputed (FCRA §1681s-2(a)(3)), * furnishing inaccurate/incomplete information (FCRA §1681e(b)), * misrepresenting the status/amount of the debt (§1692e), and * sending redacted, unverifiable "manual adjustment" documents instead of proper validation. I also requested multiple times -- by email and text -- to escalate my case or have an attorney review it. My requests were ignored, and I never received communication from a licensed attorney. As a disabled veteran and a parent to a medically fragile child, I reached out for real legal support and instead felt dismissed and unsupported.
