I called their customer service representatives over a dozen times, but they will not resolve the issue. At times they won't even accept or return the calls after they told me to call back or schedule calls at a certain time. They are very unprofessional and cannot be trusted with your money. They will look for any technicality, even if not true to not return the full amount. Be very, very careful. DO NOT INVEST OR DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.

I accepted a job offer with a non-profit in San Francisco who also had Guardian insurance; I had tooth implant surgery for this pulled tooth when working with my new employer. Although both procedures were done under Guardian, I'm told these two situations are considered "different policies", because I was with "different employers", and therefore had a "different group number". So apparently - - - Guardian Dental Insurance ... is not the same as Guardian Dental Insurance ... is not the same as Guardian Dental Insurance. BEWARE. This, despite my asking for not just one, but two estimates of coverage from Guardian, two months before my tooth implant surgery, and then one month before the surgery. Both times Guardian estimated paying a substantial portion. Now they say: Those were estimates only. They won't know the "real" amount they will pay until the actual claim is filed after the work has already been done. Once again: BEWARE.

Given the run around on getting signed receipts from providers that…read moreweren't necessary then a deadline changed due to me changing companies but I wasn't informed of that, was directed on how to fill out the paperwork without any note of that change of date, and submitted multiple times paperwork they couldn't find in their system. They run out the clock and keep your money. All denied. Appeals, approved or denied by their own internal group, sent in 40 pages of paperwork, denied. I'm contacting the attorney general in my state. This is in practice a scam company. My account still has my balance there in their portal, they say it just doesn't exist anymore in their system. Their call center staff laughed and thought it was funny when I said i had sent in 40 pages of paperwork. Another staff made me get signatures from a school closed for the summer and I later discovered the signatures weren't even needed. Given direction and how to fill out forms for receipts and told I had until the 30th of September back in May, then submitting it is suddenly past deadlines I received no notice of. This is a scam. I'm sending over my meticulous notes on the obstruction throughout to the Attorney General of my state.

I purchased my life insurance through Hotaling Group about 5+ years ago. I went through all the…read morephysical tests, forms, etc. About 2 years ago, my insurance broker ended up leaving Hotaling Group without telling me. After my broker left Hotaling Group, my insurance was terminated. I did not receive any notice of termination (which may be because ING transferred the insurance to Voya Financial) or warning letter, and no one at Hotaling Group reached out to me . Voya has told me to reach out to Hotaling Group regarding the termination. I have reached out to Hotaling Group on 2 separate occasions. Both times, I was told someone would call me back the same day. No one has returned my phone calls. The least you can do is return your customer's call! I am now in the process of "reinstating" my life insurance, which will take 3-4 months and possibly a higher premium. Don't be like me, who signed up because a former colleague recommended his family member as a broker. Find a better place to purchase your insurance.
