If I could give negative stars, I would. A Prudential broker in East Haven, Nikki Travaligno, abandoned our rental listing after we did not accept the very first person with "Poor" credit (his own words) to submit an application. He had no full-time job. She was LAZY, looking for a quick buck. We told her up front that we wanted someone with decent credit and a full-time job, among other criteria. So, of course, we repeated that criteria when she attempted to foist the first lead on us and explained that the lead did not meet the criteria.
At this point she immediately flew off the proverbial handle. Without calling us first, she directly contacted another lead of ours to tell her she won't represent us any more - of course, casting us in a horrible light and ruining any chance of a rental with them. Not only did she not let us mitigate the situation, she also purposely kept us in the dark for the entire day about her abandonment of the listing and contacting our lead, only telling us late at night (pushing 10:00pm) on the evening before the showing the next day to tell us. Of course, at that hour, there was no way we could cover for her. She even refused to give us the lead's phone number so we could tell them our side of the story, stating only that she had told them to contact us if they want. After insisting repeatedly, and explaining that she had a duty to provide us information from a lead as our broker, only then did she claim not to have the lead's phone number - even though she had spoken to the lead on the phone before. Yeah, right. Bottom line: this is an incredibly DIRTY OPERATOR.
Making matters worse, when I complained about this outrageous conduct to Prudential, I received only insult on top of our injury. I was directed to the head of the Madison office, Janet Mashia, who somehow saw no issue whatsoever with a broker abandoning a listing contract with no notice and yet still contacting leads to say disparaging things. She somehow concluded that because we were unhappy with her performance, we were given a favor when the broker dumped our listing with no notice on the evening before a showing. She also apparently thought it was ok to contact our leads to share private information and cast us in a bad light, even though she had abandoned us. You don't want this company representing you.
