There simply weren't enough cashiers or employees on the floor to help people find what they needed, which only added to the frustration. The store itself was messy and disorganized, making it difficult to shop. If this hadn't been a necessary stop, I would have walked right back out. In fact, after this visit, we never returned during the rest of our stay in Orlando. Instead, we chose to shop at Publix, where the experience was far more pleasant. I know Publix is more expensive but I'd rather spend a little more and not fear for my life! I understand stores can get busy, especially around holidays, but this location felt completely overwhelmed. Unfortunately, I can't recommend it based on my experience.

The parking lot is always crowded, the store is completely overrun with vacationers stocking up on... stuff, and the place is basically a commerce disaster zone. I went in for a couple of simple food items. What I found was half-empty food shelves, as if it were hurricane season and a storm was approaching, except everyone had decided to forego the usual necessities that inexperienced storm preppers stock up on (why would you buy four gallons of milk when your power is going to go out?) and instead grabbed every single box of pretzels the store had in stock. The store seems to have severe troubles keeping shelves stocked... whether that means they do not have a night crew performing stocking duties or they simply cannot keep up, I don't know. What I do know is that from now on, when I am visiting this area, I am going to plan ahead and do my shopping somewhere else.

I went to this store, Circle K @ 2444 Sand Mine Road, Davenport, FL 33897, to redeem scratchoff tickets for my sister. She loves these and plays everyday. She was especially happy because she won a big prize, $100.00, on one of the tickets and $5.00 on the others. I gave the tickets to person behind the counter whom I assume is a manager as he had on a black shirt. He was a heavy set, white or possibly Latinx, middle aged male with black hair, tattoos (large one on his forearm), and gauge earrings in both ears. He took the tickets and checked them. When the sound of the first ticket indicated "winner' (which I know well because I do this for my sister everyday) he said "whoa!". He finishes checking the tickets, comes back to me and states "You won $5". Knowing how much the tickets were I replied "What?" and he then quickly adds "Oh, because I don't have the $100.00 to pay you for the others". He proceeds to explain that customers hadn't been paying cash and other things. His intention was obvious. He intended to keep my ticket if I hadn't said anything. They have a thief in their store. I took that same ticket down to another Circle K, one that I frequent more than this one on 101 Polo Park East Blvd, Davenport, where the manager, Latinx woman with black hair, who is always helpful (sorry I can't think of her name), didn't hesitate to pay the ticket even though it almost emptied her till. I plan to report this to the Lottery Commission and although this is the first time I've had problems at the 2444 Sandmine location. I will not be going back. If that manager tried to rob me what would have happened if my elderly, soft-spoken sister had gone in to redeem those tickets? How many people has he done this too in the past? They have a thief there and need to address it.
