I had my birthday dinner there last night June 29th and as usual the food was delicious! Provinos gives you $14.50 towards any meal for your birthday but you must go on your actual birthday and show ID. The only meal that you can get absolutely free is the spaghetti with meat sauce or marinara as it is $14.50. I think when the pandemic was over you were able to get anything but in today's economy I'm happy with the $14.50! My friend and I both love the salad (I get all the beets bc he doesn't like them ) plus he gets his rolls sans garlic whereas I love garlic! I got my usual Canneloni El Bianco which is SO GOOD that you know it has to be bad for you but what the heck it's once a year! He chose sausage and peppers and for once he couldn't clean his plate! The birthday person also gets a scoop of ice cream with a cookie and candle. Our waitress Allie was great with us but she forgot several items for the table next to us that was my birthday twin Mary who turned 83. Of course, Mary kept her on her toes . The ambiance here is lovely except the place could use a deep cleaning until they do it don't look at the lamps on the tables if dust offends you. The health score was perfect. Came here as a walk-in with my husband the other night. We were seated quickly and our server arrived shortly after. She was very kind and attentive throughout our entire meal. They offer complimentary bread and salad which were both amazing! Was super impressed by the quality and how many different veggies were in the salad. For my entree I got the egg plant parm which came with your choice of pasta. My husband got the baked ziti. The food was very tasty! I do think the sauce on the pasta needed some more flavor but for the price it's an amazing amount of food. We left stuffed and can't wait to go back, specifically for the amazing service and yummy garlic bread! read more

I can only review the to-go order I picked up from Provino's. I called in a family feast order for 4 of the lasagna meal for 4. The person who answered the phone was friendly and let us know it would be appropriately 45 min for the order to be ready and to pick up in the bar area. When I arrived, the hostess directed me to the bar and our food was ready. They had put the cold items ( the salads and dressing and forks in 1 bag) and the hot items ( the lasagna, rolls, and meatballs) in another bag. The portions were plentiful and delicious. Provino's has been our go to for Italian food since the 1980's. My favorite, Cannelloni never disappoints. The yeast garlic rolls are amazing. Seafood scampi is good. I don't think we've ever had anything that wasn't good. You definitely won't leave hungry. Servers are attentive and the decor is great. read more

While I appreciated the friendly service and warm décor, the food is unfortunately the reason I have to leave an honest but poor review. I genuinely wanted to like this restaurant, but I can't in good faith recommend it based on our experience. I ordered the lasagna, which was acceptable but unremarkable. My wife's fettuccine Alfredo, however, tasted canned, and the noodles were served cold. She also ordered a fried shrimp dish that was overwhelmed with butter--so much so that it fully congealed on the plate before the meal was finished, resembling an entire stick of butter. The pre-meal salad included fresh vegetables, but it was essentially iceberg lettuce with a dressing that lacked flavor. The rolls were hard and heavily coated in garlic and butter as well. Unfortunately, I felt sick shortly after the meal. Without going into detail, we had to rush home as the food did not sit well with either of us, and we both ended the night feeling unwell. This was disappointing, as it was the only Italian restaurant we could find in the area. I do want to emphasize that the staff was excellent--the host and our waitress were friendly and attentive. I hope Provino's improves the food quality, because if they do, I would be open to giving it another try read more

If I'm being honest, I came to Provino's specifically to order their eggplant parmigiana hoping it would put me into labor like the myth claims. I didn't have time to dine in, so I ordered it to go which they made very quickly, and when I was paying for my meal, they packaged a salad and some garlic rolls for me as well. I was confused and told them I only ordered the eggplant parm. They informed me that ALL to go orders still come with complimentary salad and rolls which I was surprised by and grateful for. I mean who wouldn't be happy about some free extra food? Anyways, I got home and opened my eggplant parmigiana, and I saw in the container that there was also a bit of spaghetti noddles with meat sauce packed in there as well off to the side. Needless to say, I was very impressed with the food I received which I had initially thought was a bit pricey to be paying $20 for just a dish of pasta to go. But, I got a whole meal out of it and had enough to share with my husband too. It was definitely worth the drive and the $20. The salad portion was huge, especially for being free. The garlic rolls came with 6 of them, and they were AMAZING. I honestly would come back here just for those alone. And lastly, the eggplant parm- the portion was much bigger than I expected it would be, more layers than I expected, somehow still stayed warm for my drive home until I ate it, and they were very generous on the sauce. Plus like I mentioned, the side of spaghetti included as well. I came for my birthday dinner as I'm a NYC transplant and was craving authentic Italian. I have to say, this is the best Italian you're going to find in this GA area. Garlic knots were delicious, family style salad was delicious, the chicken parm dinner needed a little more flavor in the sauce, but I still enjoyed it. This is definitely authentic Italian. The Tiramisu is to die for for dessert. The ambience was romantic and cozy. I'd visit again to try other items on the menu when I need my Italian food fix! read more

There is a reason why certain restaurants stand the test of time. This Italian spot is one of them. If you read no other reviews, read this one. Why? Because this used to be my go-to spot back in High School during the 90s to fuel up prior to one of our cross country races. Back then, you came to get wasted on garlic bread, salad and pasta. Our tastebuds were still in the adolescent stage so we had no idea what was good Italian and what wasn't. Fast forward to my mom's birthday here this past week and my first time eating here again since in my 20s. A 20+ year gap of not eating here. And wow, the nostalgia that hit walking in. The garlic bread rolls, dripping and swimming in a bowl of garlic butter, were just outstanding! The salad they provide for the table was phenomenal! And my meal, the sausage and chicken over penne pasta, was the absolute best chicken and sausage I've had. I had NO clue this place was that damn good. Our server was awesome (his picture included) and they did a great job taking care of my mom for her birthday! The house wine isn't so great (we had some at the mini bar upfront while waiting for our table) but the bottle of merlot we had for the table was perfect. Same great Taste and value which is why I've been a Customer all these years. Price point: 5 stars: I think everything is priced fairly. I've been coming here for years and they have diligently tried to keep prices affordable. Portion size 4: I understand why the portion sizes are a tad smaller look at the Twit in office -_- but I appreciate a family of 4 can eat here, LEAVE FULL, and feel like they got their monies worth despite the tiny difference in portion size. Cleanliness: 5 stars: I came right as their rush was ending and the place was tidy. Overall: my experience was great. I enjoyed eating here and appreciated the warm and welcoming professional staff. It was absolutely cooked to perfection and there was plenty of it. They dont want anyone to go homevor back to work hungry and they succeeded. My friend had a huge piece of fresh salmon dipped in a very light breading, sautéed to perfection and served with a medley of fresh vegetables in a lemon butter sauce. There was no way we could finish our meals, and when our to go boxes arrived, our server fixed two separate containers of fresh hot garlic laden yeast home made dinner rolls. We were well fed, surprised at everyone's willingness to answer questions, and how inexpensive our lunch turned out as we each had another meal to go. Run, dont walk to this mainstay Italian eatery. Provinos in Snellville has a very neighborhood restaurant atmosphere. While the food may not be 100% authentic the restaurant definitely strives to be authentic to themselves. The customer service was top notch, our server was very friendly and attentive. I also observed other servers being the same. I ordered the lasagna. Overall, it was good, but not amazing. The meat sauce (I believe their signature sauce) tasted bold and 100% catered to please the masses. Smothered in cheese and too much sauce this baked lasagna tasted a bit too sweet. Overall, I would visit again over a similar competitor Olive Garden since it's so close to where I live and wish I could give 3.5-3.75 rating. read more

Wow! So good! When we walked in I was pretty turned off. The place looks like my old next door neighbors house. Not a great vibe. But that's fine, I was with my dad and we were here to enjoy a nice dinner while catching up, so I was just ready to eat. Service was great. Attentive and nice. With our entrees we got a salad. The salad and bread was fantastic! Salad was fresh (better then Olive Garden) and the bread was drenched in fresh garlic. I was in heaven. I got the Cannoli Del Mar and is was so delightful. I would definitely recommend this dish if you like seafood. My father got the Lasagna and he was very happy with the taste, and very full and satisfied afterwards. Definitely recommend eating here. Don't be turned off by how it looks. Sit and enjoy the food and you will be so happy you gave it a try. read more

How in the 2025 are we still allowing these rude servers stay in the service industry. Our server Louise was by far the worst server I've encountered. We received many derogatory comments. Never in my life have I seen such utter disrespect and flat out ignorant behavior. What the heck happened here? We've been going to this location for years, and our recent visit was like we were in a different restaurant. Nothing was as good as it usually is, and some recipes were totally different. The calamari is completely different than what it used to be. Not only was the calamari flavorless, but they somehow made the marinara sauce flavorless too. Their usually delicious house meat sauce on our entrees was also completely different. This establishment feels just like I'm in Italy. The staff is super friendly especially JOSH who was our server for the evening. This was my second visit here and both visits were awesome experiences. The restaurant is large and spacious. The food here is top notch, Italian flavors abound perfectly. I enjoyed the Chicken Marsala, I added spinach and it was delicious. I devoured it. I am crazy about the garlic knots that come out before the meal along with a delicious fresh salad. For me it's the Spumoni which is a nice scoop of Pistachio flavored ice cream that sometimes come with vanilla or chocolate ice cream. This time I had Pistachio and chocolate, to me it's better with vanilla ice cream, overall to me that's the best pistachio ice-cream I've ever had. I can't wait to dine here again. Been coming here since we moved to Gwinnett in 1996 and it never disappoints. In fact it gives away a free meal on your birthday and it seems like we have had many over the years here. The one thing I find remarkable is the food still taste the same after all these years. That level of consistency is to be appreciated and applauded. Went for my birthday and will not return. Food quality has gone wayy down and the taste is just awful. The bread came out with hard butter on it and a bunch of garlic all over it..mine as well just eat the garlic itself without the bread. Seats had lots of food in the cushions and it's just overall a down grade. It does not make me feel like it's clean. Dust everywhere and it smells like it.
