They charge by the pound and you self-pay using cash. I've also occasionally seen some checks in the money box. They provide everything you need. But the picking was still very good and the fragrance and taste can't be beat! We wrote down how much we picked in their log book and paid by honor system. It was such a lovely, small town, family-ran farm and much more pleasant than the commercialism that has taken over Greenbluff in the past decade or two. Serious safety concerns and a disappointing response from management…read more We visited Walters' Fruit Ranch with our family, and what happened with the inflatable jump slide was extremely concerning. My niece and nephew were still on the slide when a female employee deflated it. This created a potentially dangerous situation for the children, and it's not something that should happen at a family attraction. Afterward, we went to the entrance. While we watched the kids dance, a group of young employees were staring us down and shooing us away. Their behavior was unprofessional and made us feel unwelcome for raising a legitimate safety concern. This is ultimately what prompted us to speak directly with the owner. The owner offered us a refund, which we appreciated, but said he would not reprimand the employee involved. He told us he would do whatever we wanted, yet when it came to addressing the employee's actions, he wasn't willing to take the measure we felt was appropriate. I'm not asking for a young seasonal employee to be treated unfairly. I'm asking for a serious safety incident to be addressed appropriately and for staff to treat customers respectfully when they raise concerns about children's safety. The refund wasn't the point. The safety of our kids was. We left feeling that our concerns about a potentially dangerous situation weren't taken as seriously as they should have been. Families visit Walters' Fruit Ranch expecting a fun, safe experience. I hope management takes this incident seriously, reviews how the inflatable attractions are operated, and ensures employees are properly trained to prevent this from happening to another family.

They have sweet organic apples of different varieties. But the best thing about this place are owners Sandy and John. Easily the sweetest and humblest people you'll ever meet. They have been doing and sharing their farm to the community for years. This is a family/kid-friendly place as they encourage and welcome families and schools for tours and u-picks. Sandy offered us some of the zucchini that didn't get picked that were grown there. I really wish we had more time and didn't have to drive back to Seattle so we could look around because apparently they sell apple cider as well. My husband and I made it a tradition to pick apples during fall and now we know where we'll go every year.

As for Greenbluff, I dont get there too often, but I have always have a good time when I go there. I've been to the Apple Cider celebration. I had a good time too. The apples they raise there are just wonderful. I went to the peach festival too, and had a wonderful time. I think Greenbluff is a wonderful and productive area for Spokane.

I love that they have a big barn with cute farmhouse chic items for sale. This is super inviting. The staff has always been eager to educate you on proper ways to pick cherries, how to find the best ones and any information you care to know. The steady ladders spread throughout the orchard make picking a breeze. There are fun cutouts for photo ops, lots of beautiful places that are insta-worthy. Speaking of Instagram, they have a beautiful Instagram account to follow as well. Make sure to stop by for the best raspberries and peaches on the bluff, too!

We picked enough peaches to fill the bottom layer full and some on top of that layer in each box. When we checked out... we placed about a dozen plums in a paper bag to purchase also. $105+ WE WILL NOT RETURN TO CHERRY HILL ORCHARD FOR OUR FRUIT. We have friends that bought many more boxes of peaches than we did, that they did not pick themselves... and they paid much less. We are switching to a more fair priced orchard.
