I was discharged one hour ago today, Sunday afternoon, October 3rd. From the moment my wheel chair rolled into the Emergency Room, I was treated well by all of the staff. Dr Alexander and Dr Kennedy took a shotgun approach to the evaluation process to find out why I had a 103.9 temperature after they realized that I tested negative for both strains of the Flu and Covid-19. Once they determined my diagnosis, I was moved to the second floor. The staff on the second floor were phenomenal and their professionalism is worthy of praise. Dr Manlapaz, Dr Stevens, and especially Dr Penoyar took excellent care of me. They were always friendly, took the time to listen, and always answered questions. The Nursing staff were great too. A special shout out to Teela, Luba, Cynthia, and Nikki. Last but not least, the Support Staff (i.e., CNAs, Kitchen staff, Imaging, etc.) were also very polite, professional, and gave nothing less than 100% while doing their jobs. In short, I am so grateful that we are all blessed to have such a wonderful Hospital staffed by so many kind and professional people eager to give all of us their best when we are at the lowest point in our lives. Thank you to everyone at Providence Centralia Hospital and God Bless all of you. Sincerely, Dr Matthew A Johnson Licensed Clinical Psychologist Chehalis WA

Previously Case management said pt would stay in hospital for a couple days after concern was brought up, while they worked with a facility and all of the sudden said the pt is ready to go home because they said "they were ready"? Here's an update for ya, the still confused patient went home and has fallen twice in 24 hours and now the elderly spouse is injured. Oh and how about Dr's being available to talk to family members and spouses, listen to our concerns and address them....where you at? Great work Providence

I let them know I tried to get an appointment a month ago and ahead of time, but the soonest appointment was 4 months away. I did not have a 4 month supply. These guys were able to get me an earlier appointment a few weeks away, awesome thank you. But then I sat there for over FIVE hours. Once I finally saw the nurse practitioner, who was again, very nice, my conversation and transaction with her took one minute. Yup. I waited five hours for one minute. I had to take a sick day from work to cover my time sitting there. A day of my life I will never get back. The system here doesn't work. I get some people need more help than others but you would think the "easy" people as I was told I was numerous times, could be in and out and out of their hair instead of turning people away as they came in later in the day because they were full. Why would an hour go by and no one in the waiting room was called? One lady came in describing a heart attack and she was turned away. I felt horrible for her. I hope she is ok.

One week later I came in again, they said we will take care of this because we understand you were out. Three days later I received a call saying that my mail order prescription has not expired. But I haven't use Mail order all year long. The third time I came in they said you need to call your other doctor, and have them fill it. It took me three times physically walking into this location before I got any kind of straight answer. In addition if you want to get an appointment here as a current customer, you're looking at well over 30 days. I would rather drive to Seattle and deal with the terrible situation they have there, then ever step foot in this sham of a physicians office!

I actually got hopeful when I was called into an exam room by a nurse, but that excitement faded away in the 45 minutes I waited for the doctor to "be right in". Nobody took any vitals, I never stepped on a scale & nobody ever actually even looked at my injury, so I fail to understand how any diagnosis that was made could be valid. I'm still waiting (several days later) for an orthopedic referral to go through, but of course I had to do the legwork to ensure that was even happening. Oh and fun fact; if you ask what's taking so long for the referral, the staff will become instantly annoyed with you & irate that they need to explain the process of referrals having to go through insurance before being sent to orthopedics! I commented that I guess I would just be sitting around in pain for a few more days & was hung up on. Don't waste your time at this place if you don't have to. Unless some serious changes are made that encourages their staff to do their jobs with the compassion & kindness that this community deserves, I will be seeking urgent care in Olympia from now on.

Worst place ever to go for care!…read more I recently went into urgent care for an ongoing sinus infection. The PA-C Brandon Barker told me they would do a nasal swab to find out if the infection was viral or bacterial. If it was bacterial, he would have me take a course of antibiotics. If it was viral, I would not take them. The MA came in, did the swab. I watched her put it in the test tube, break off the stick, seal it and label it. They never called with my results so I called them twice only to get voicemail. I never received a return phone call even after leaving a voicemail. I called back the next day and talked to both the receptionist and the medical assistant that was there. No one had any record of me ever getting a swab done or it being sent off to a lab to be tested. I was basically made to look like an idiot, like I didn't know what I was talking about when I was clearly told by the doctor and the medical assistant that the results would be back in two days. The MA had the audacity to tell me the doctor wouldn't have prescribed antibiotics to me if he didn't want me to take them. The doctor prescribed the antibiotics so that I would have them if my test results came back with a bacterial infection. Both the doctor and the medical assistant totally dropped the ball and the receptionist and MA that I followed up with on the phone a few days later drop the ball as well. Very unprofessional and very uncaring to their patients. I will never step foot back in this place ever again!
