Some of the kindest and best medical staff i've ever encountered. On a busy weekend on the night shift, everyone worked hard to make sure I was comfortable and taken care of during my emergency. Had my 24 yr old grand daughter at the ER and upon arriving, they got her info and had us wait in the waiting room. Sat there for over an hour, finally got into triage, they placed a port, took blood sent us back in the waiting room to wait. PB was high for her in a lot of pain, I asked if they could give her anything, they finally gave her a shot to help with the pain, didn't take it all away but helped some. Again there we sat waiting. Hour after hour passed, still on xrays, CT, nothing. I again went and asked when they would be seeing her, was told other peoples pain was more important then hers, I was very angry. I have always love Prov, been treated well, fast and with kindness in when this were hectic for them, but the lack of treatment and snarkiness was not warranted at all. They tried to push pain meds, she refused, didn't want any meds, just wanted to know where the pain was coming from and what to do. They didn't offer us any anwsers, basically said nothing we can do for you. She removed her own Port from her arm, put a band aid over it and we left. Never in my life have I been treated with such disrespect. They need to do a shake up of their ER and get rid of the ones who are only there for a pay check and get nurses and doctors who put the patient 1st. read more

This ER is a joke! Most non drug addicts that have ins don't go to the ER unless it's absolutely necessary. My husband was having a medical emergency and we went here. After waiting 2 hours - with no one in the waiting room being seen- we decided to leave. When we told the clerk we were leaving all the sudden they wanted to fit him in and acted like it was important for someone to see him. Needless to say - they didn't think he was having that much of an emergency when we arrived so what changed when we wanted to leave, no guaranteed profit.?? Why go here if they operate on the precondition that if you don't come in an ambulance that you don't have an emergency. read more

This hospital does not even get a star I'm angry at the care showed to my father who was sent to er by ambulance and we were not contacted once a day it was twice you failed to tell us he fell out of bed twice and bruised so bad, and that he had a sore so huge from sitting in his own feces then you don't allow us to see him as we begged for we knew he had to be depressed and all in 12 days he got home by cabulance without meds, and lived only 4 days this was on the 26th and hospice had no direction and was angry as well but when his nurses all said he had been wronged, I ask why? Get your family member out if you have one question but it's so sad my care was far more tender than yours! I blame you for what little time I had and now I'm just a girl who misses her daddy! read more

Shout out to ER nurses Tori and Erik. They are the coldest, snarkiest people you'd ever have to deal with in an emergency room. They are unfriendly and uncaring. They will make you wait forever for any help. Erik couldn't be bothered to answer questions. But, they sure had time to relax at their desks. I came and stayed for 9 hours while a family member was there. I cringed just watching Tori saunter over to people's rooms - knowing how rude she is. So sad because people are dealing with such awful situations and in such vulnerable states. Here are two people who obviously hate their jobs and could care less about the people they are supposed to be taking care of. Hopefully, you're not stuck in this ER department. read more

If I could give this a lower rating I would, but yelp allows a 1 star as the lowest. Our family was treated so poorly by this hospital I would never recommend it to anyone seeking care. Although we had a few very kind nurses on the stroke unit the lack of communication from the hospital administrative staff, the merry go round service that was not consistent, having to try to get doctors paged only to wait for countless hours and no one showing, only getting pain meds when we told the nurses she looked uncomfortable, her not being washed until we specially requested it, or getting people from the hospice floor to even talk with us was horrible. No family should have to endure this while watching a loved one pass away. We got stuck on the stroke floor even though our mother was put on hospice/comfort care by the doctors the 2nd day we were there, because we were told we "didn't qualify" but were never told what qualifications were needed. Now because the hospital kept our mom on the stroke floor that whole time besides the last night of her life we now owe the hospital a ridiculous amount of money for that room. Losing someone is hard enough without having to deal with hospital bureaucracy, terrible, anxiety producing communication, and being responsible to have to hunt down your own answers to questions the doctors/the hospital could have easily answered if they were present and helpful. I will do my best to never go there again if I can help it! read more

I can't speak for the entire hospital. I had a descent experience when I had my ultrasound done when I was pregnant with my son. ICU nurses though? Just unnecessarily RUDE & SNOBBY over the phone and in person. read more

Providence treated me after I suffered 6 days with a horrible migraine. They immediately gave me an i.v of fluids and some meds to take away my migraine and nausea. They were so compassionate and I would highly recommend them to anyone. Thanks Providence!!! read more

I brought my friend to the emergency room because she had fallen off a boat and reinjured her back where she had 4 pins inserted into her lower back. Over the two previous days she had fallen because she couldn't feel her leg. I was concerned that she might fall again and do some permanent damage to her back and legs. We registered and waited. After about 2 hours I inquired as how long the wait would be. I was told she was 3rd in line and that people with more serious issues had to be dealt with first which I know. After another hour I inquired again. The receptionist said she should be soon. I told her of my concerns and said she would put my friend first for triage. Another half hour passed and I went to ask again but just then they called her name. We went into a room and the triage nurse said she should have been seen hours ago. He couldn't believe that we had waited over 3 1/2 hours. Her confirmed her info and said we would be next and placed outside of a room. After another half hour we left. I then took her to my urgent care and was seen in 20 minutes. We spent over 4 hours and were never seen. Yes it gets hectic but there were only about 5 people when we got there and we saw people come and go during the time we were there. I will never go there again. They have no business running an ER that way and clearly they don't understand the concept of triage. read more

This is the most nastiest hospital I have ever been to. In ER they made me pee in a cup & hold it until they called me back to a room. Instead of putting it on ice or taking it to the lab. This nurse on staff opened up my door and dumped someone else's urine in the sink of the room I was in. By the time they tested my urine it was contaminated, and not one time did they wash their hands or use gloves. This one nurse blew my veins trying to get blood six times trying to draw blood & the tech they had to come down dropped my blood on the floor and no one cleaned it. They made me leave my room to sit on a bench outside and wait to hear my test results for six hrs. They never had me sign a HIPPA law and I had no privacy when they told me my test results. I hate even marking a star for this unsanitary place. I will never go back there again. They need to do some serious changes here or get shut down. read more

Took them about an hr just to give my mom pain reliever injection because she kept throwing up everything she ate. My mom was in pain for total of almost 2hrs from home, to the ambulance then to urgent care. Now we are getting a bill for just waiting around for almost a hour just for my mom to get pain reliever injection which she could have gotten either in the ambulance or as soon as she got to the hospital. It was very upsetting having to watch my mother in pain, shaking and crying, for almost an hour AFTER arriving due to her severe cramps. Avoiding this place at all costs from now on. read more

I wish there were no star at all to rate them.All the staff members luck to communicate and they don't want you to ask any questions regarding the waiting hours they don't really care.Yesterday my 1 year old daughter had a food contamination and she had a swollen lips and nose.She was crying while we were waiting .We were waiting from 10pm to 3 am in the morning for baby girl who was having a medical emergency. Imagine for a sick baby waiting in emergency room for 5 hours.. After we registered we were waiting for 2 hours i inquired how long the wait would be ,we were told she is 7th in line and we were waiting 3 more ours and i inquire again how long the wait would be and again we were told she is 4th in the line.My baby was crying all the time while i inquire for how long the wait would be.When i inquire for how long is the baby i hold my baby while she was crying hard no body cares.Then we left at 3 am wasting our time and we went to the hospital next morning and the doctor couldn't believe it .Please i don't recommend this emergency room for any one they will make you wait forever and you might leave with out seeing the doctor like us specially for kids it is not fair. read more

I wish there were minus stars to rate with. The staff here and the cancer center across the street are both completely incompetent and lacking in communication. A year ago they couldn't figure out who to send my husband to to get him admitted for his surgery. But more shocking was last week at the cancer center. I was just diagnosed and went there as that is where my doctor sent me. Checking in the nurse barked at us to sit down and wait because she was trying to find her chair. Then handed me a clipboard with papers as I'm standing there on crutches. They shuffled us around from person to person and told me they couldn't do anything for me. In between all of this confusion we watched an older gentleman fall in the hallway and no one was in any kind of hurry to get to him. They gave me a phone number to an orthopedic office that also couldn't help me. I could keep going but in the end I will not be stepping foot or crutches in that building ever again. I've never written a review on Providence before cause I never thought to do it online;after all, I returned the paper questionnaire rating their hospital that was sent to me after each experience with Prov Everett. I was admitted with heart failure and spent 10 days in CCU under the care of Dr. Julie Wood, a pulmonologist who at the time, was in a medical group. She has since become a Hospitalist in critical care, ICU, CCU.at Prov Everett. If you are ever admitted to ICU or CCU & have the good fortune of being care for by Julie, you will get the most competent, and caring physician in the world. She SAVED MY LIFE! I was unable to get diagnosed with what ended up being primary arterial pulmonary hypertension, a rather rare critical disease w/many complications. Providence nurses were more than kind, professional & attentive. And the food was good. I've been in the ER on some occasions, & yes, it is very busy - just like every ER. As a now disabled person w/a critical illness, I have no anxiety or worries should I need emergency care.. I had an outstanding experience, in retrospect, so of course I would recommend Providence, Not until I was admitted, did I find out their cardiologists are award-winning.. I am grateful for their excellent care & facility, needless to say. read more
