The facilities are all new, updated and clean. The biggest problem now in the United States is lack of doctors everywhere, but that is not the fault of Kaiser. You will always find disgruntled patients that are not as knowledgeable about their care, disease and EXPECTATIONS as they should be, and HOW and WHAT they THINK their care SHOULD be, is sometimes VERY UNREALISTIC.

Kaiser Permanente should be shut down for malpractice. I had to leave at least one star to leave a…read morereview but they deserve 0. It is unfathomable how a patient can do everything right, attending every annual checkup, completing mammograms yearly, and undergoing precancer screenings with clean results, only to be diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer that has spread to her bones. At her last primary care visit just months ago in April, her levels were supposedly fine. When she voiced genuine concern that something was deeply wrong and suspected cancer, her physician completely dismissed her. Fast forward to a hospital visit this past Saturday due to severe back pain, and yesterday we received this life-altering diagnosis. This level of negligence, dismissal of a patient's instincts, and failure to catch something so severe until it reached Stage 4 is beyond unacceptable. Kaiser Permanente completely failed a long-time patient who trusted them with her life. If you expect healthcare providers to actually listen to your concerns, look elsewhere.

I am so grateful to have found Western Washington GI, and specifically, Dr. Schreiber…read more Having a strong family history of colon cancer, I've known for a few years that I really need to get a colonoscopy. After contracting COVID in February, I developed an ulcer, and subsequently also needed an endoscopy. My brother, who is just two years older than me, had an alarming colonoscopy this year, and that was the final catalyst to get things done. Make no mistake about it. I was absolutely TERRIFIED. And, as an ER RN myself, I felt like I "knew too much". My primary doc recommended Western Wa Gastroenterology. When I called to make an appointment, I was given the option of seeing the PA quickly (who I'm sure is abundantly competent, but doesn't do procedures) or wait to see the doc who would actually be doing my procedure. As I preferred a female doctor for this particular kind of thing, I researched reviews and asked for recommendations online, and those two things led me to Dr. Schreiber. I chose to wait to have an appointment with her so I wouldn't meet her on the same day that she'd be putting a scope where the sun doesn't shine. I first met with her in the end of May, and I could tell immediately that she was worth the wait. She asked questions that made it clear that she had read my intake form, and wanted to understand why I was there and help me. She was so kind and patient, and when I told her that I had some anxiety revolving around the procedures, she was understanding and reassuring. Fast forward to my procedure day, I showed up at the endoscopy center earlier this week. I checked in at 8am, and from the kind woman who checked me in, to my nurse, Theresa, to Dr. Schreiber, to the nurse anesthetist, Nate, to my recovery nurse, Amy, everyone was SO friendly, so respectful, caring, professional, and gave me the utmost confidence and reassurance that everything would be ok. I was out of there before 11am. IF you have any concerns about the sedation portion, you need to know that some places use a combination of Fentanyl and Versed, and some use Propofol. When you hear about people waking up mid-procedure, they likely got the first one. I communicated my concerns to Nate, and I received Propofol which is standard for this practice, and I remember absolutely NOTHING of the actual procedure. I woke up feeling fine - although I guess professed my true love to Nate - and he apparently was a good sport about it - and I was discharged rather quickly and was on my way home. Please note that you must have a driver in attendance and they must wait there for the duration of the procedure. Kids can come. They can be in the waiting area or the coffee shop, but they must stay in the building, which is understandable. I was a little tired that same day, and maybe even a little bit the next day from the prep and not eating, but after that, I felt like a million bucks. Never had any pain, left feeling like I had a plan, was given a detailed report and photos about the findings, and a follow up call yesterday to see how I was doing. If there's anything to take away from this, it's that you don't need to be scared. I was absolutely terrified until the minute it happened, but it ended up being a breeze. Get your tailpipe checked. Especially if you are over 40. If you wait until you have symptoms, it may be too late. Don't be a chicken like I was. It really gives you peace of mind just knowing that everything is a-ok. I highly recommend WWGI, and I most definitely recommend Dr. Schreiber.

RONALD QUAM IS CROOK I scheduled an appt with him for May 8,…read more2026, to evaluate/repair a broken clavicle (bicycling crash). The first appt was to be an evaluation. My wife and I showed up on time and were directed to an exam room. After waiting for several minutes, a man showed up and started laughing out loud and told us Quam hadn't shown up and that he had no idea where he was or when he would show. Then continuing to laugh, he said, "I can offer you a tour of our office." Disgusted, we demurred and as we turned to leave, a young women showed up with EKG leads draped over her arm stating that she will give me an EKG as it is standard policy. My wife immediately told her no thanks, we are leaving. The EKG tech paused and said "ok" and then disappeared. We left. The whole affair took about 6- 8 min including the initial wait time. Quam charged me $595 for this that included, "greater than 45 min professional time" and an EKG! Total BS. Medicare covered most of it and he is harassing and threatening me, in writing, to pay the balance. I called his office upon receipt of the first notice and was told QUAM personally signed off on the billing so there was nothing they could do. I called the local Medicare fraud office and went over the details with them. I was told it was indeed fraud and they would assign an investigator, but they have limited resources and a $500 fraud case may not rise to the level of a full investigation. I have not called back. I called Quam's office again and told them I contacted the Medicare fraud office. The person answering my call seemed very concerned and put me on hold to contact their billing. She came back in few minutes and told me the billing office cannot do anything about this and did not want me to call them again. So here we are 5 months later, and I am still getting threatening letters from him. He can choke on it. RONALD QUAM IS A FRAUD.

The doctor was polite and knowledgeable. He explained a few things to me, but lacked skills in other areas. He seemed more interested in sharing his pedigree with me then to my upcoming surgery. He also has an accent which made it difficult to understand at times. At the end of my appointment he left to go enter the chart notes on the computer system. After waiting 10 minutes for him to return, I went to the front desk. I asked if I could leave and I was asked if I had my cheek swabbed for MRSA. I sad no and was asked to return to my room and someone would be there shortly. My doctor had said nothing about that. I found myself waiting once again. Soon the nurse that sent me back to the exam room came and told me I could leave and she would phone the next day to schedule the next two tests. The next day I waited and waited I finally phoned them at 4:00 pm. The person who answered the phone looked up my chart and could not find anything about the two tests and asked if she could call me the next day. I told her I knew the names of the test and I really wanted to schedule then today. About that time she found the names of the additional tests and then told me the scheduler was not there today and they would have to call me the next day. I look forward to the call should they call. How can anyone trust a doctor with such a poorly ran office to do any type of surgery on you? I know I won't! Another day and still no phone call. They finally called me back. I scheduled the two tests, but will be having another surgeon do the surgery.

Beware of unwarranted add-on costs... My husband and I have been going to Providence for at least…read more20 years and have never questioned a bill. However, we got the billing information shown below... the "Treatment/Observation room" add-on charge was outrageous. I only went to the screening after getting a letter from the Breast Cancer Screen department of Providence telling me I needed to come in. My appt was on 10/20/2025 where I only sat down for a half hour with a nurse (not even a doctor) and gave the cancer history for members of my family... just to have the nurse tell me something I already knew... that there was risk of me getting cancer. The Professional Fees Of $422.00 for the nurse was acceptable.... but the additional charge for "Treatment or Observation Room" of $562 is crazy and a scam to make money. When I see a doctor (not a nurse) I do not get charged for the room.
