The salon owner and nail technician Elizabeth does great work. Let's get that out there first.
I had been seeing her as a client for over a year! Out of the blue last year, she becomes ill and ends up in the hospital (non virus related). As a client, and really concerned one at that, I texted on her personal phone to check up on her, donated to her hospital bill fund and everything. Of which, no response to any of that, no simple thank you, nothing - didn't do it for glory at all. She was Ghost. No answers, no response. Mind you, I was invited to her home, more than once because of my status at the time to get my nails done, and everything! Her HOUSE!!
So after her emergency scare, there were messages sent out about how she wasn't taking clients anymore until she healed. I didn't take not getting a response at the time personally because I knew she was healing from something potentially serious.
Fast forward, I get an automated text saying she's taking clients again. I happily schedule. Then all the sudden get a cancellation email saying since it's been a few months, I'm now considered a new client and she's not taking new clients at this time.
I literally only didn't go because she wasn't doing nails!
Ok. I didn't think twice then, didn't want to assume... I waved it off and thought to patiently wait.
Fast forward again to this month (Sep 2021), I get ANOTHER automated message saying she's accepting clients again, to which I excitedly scheduled again. Within 2 hrs, I get a cancellation notice saying since I haven't been seen in a while, I'm considered a new client and she isn't seeing new clients. Now red flags are raised and it seemed totally off.
I seen her before scheduling and getting cancelled a second time, at a local diner after not seeing her from her illness, and go up and speak and tell her about my donating and congratulate her on her pregnancy but she was so short, stank, and dismissive, like she's waiting for the conversation to end; her husband however, super sweet and lit up when I told them congrats on the pregnancy; her vibes then, totally made sense now after abrupt cancellation.
Since everything seemed off, I asked a local good friend to schedule an apt; mind you, my friend hasn't never been to her shop, she's a new client. To my surprise and confirmation, her apt was ACCEPTED.
She lied. She literally lied.
Had I been given the decency and RESPECT, and opportunity to apologize, and correct whatever I did wrong to offend her, or anyone, I would've taken full advantage of it and profusely apologized and never did it again. I wasn't even given that opportunity or chance. I have no idea what I did because I wasn't told. Just dodged, and avoided.
For someone who PRESENTS as a Christian, has a salon named Proverbs 31, to treat a re-occurring faithful client this way, without any explanation, at the minimum at least give a text message if she was afraid of offending or any confrontation, instead felt the need to treat a loyal client this way, Avoid, and give Bald face LIES. On multiple occasions.
This is literally the most unprofessional, DISGRACEFUL experience I've ever had. read more
