I did the research and talked to 4 companies before choosing Pregent and then .... at least a dozen other houses got the benefit. When I was getting the quote from Joe, my neighbor across the street and one a couple houses down also asked for quotes. Then, when they were doing the work, people came out of the woodwork to ask them to do their driveways too. My new driveway is incredible. It was so worn down the dirt was coming through at the end. They fully replaced it, expanded it to be double width, and even put in a really nice Cambridge paver walkway to my front door. It totally transformed the look of my house. They got all the work done in two days and were really well organized in that they were able to simultaneously time it to stagger the different phases of paving and do multiple driveways at once. They had at least a dozen guys which made them really efficient.

I needed a lot of topsoil to fill a depression where our above-ground pool used to be. I had one company bring in 12 cubic yards but they were unable to dump it in my backyard due to a slope they did not feel their truck could negotiate, so I had to pay a second contractor to move the pile from the end of my driveway to the depression. Andrew surveyed my backyard and was confident his driver could deliver 2 loads, 6 cubic yards each, exactly where I needed it so I could finish the job. And he did just that on the day I needed it.

It was frustrating, but I will say that he made good on his work, he communicated any difficulties, and he worked hard to make our 4 chimneys safe and attractive. I have cracks and depressions in different areas already! This was the first time we paved our driveway. It was just crush for years and we decided to spend the money to pave it. We got quoted from several different contractors and Tri-city was paving our neighbors driveway so we decided to go with them. They were a bit unprofessional yelling at each other when doing the job. Apparently there were some disagreements. They underestimated the amount of paving they needed and ended up having to get an additional truckload. I think they tried to squeeze what they had over a broader area than they should have. They left a very visible seam in one section and told us the sealcoating would take care of it. That is where some of the cracks have appeared. We had weeds coming up along the edge of pavement and a significant depression in one section after the first summer. This year we have visible cracks. My advice is to go with another contractor!

He updated me throughout the process and thoroughly explained what he would do, such as pitching the pavement so the water would drain away from the house. He even used the extra asphalt to repair an existing walkway at no extra charge. He treated his employees with respect and it shows by the way they work for him. They finished the work quickly and thoroughly cleaned the worksite before leaving. He does quality work at a reasonable price and fit me into his busy schedule. I will use him again in the future. Mike called a week or so later to say the crew would be here at 8 am the next day. Crew was on time. Completed the job which was removing the asphalt at the at the top of the driveway and replacing it. It looked great and they also edged the lawn where the driveway was replaced. They roped off the driveway so no one would drive on it. Next day it is pouring rain, and my garage floor is dry!!! Could not be more satisfied with the job.

Clark Meyers has unusual business…read morepractices like, the owner (husband) driving to customer's houses to collect money, owner (wife) talking cryptically when asked paving questions, owners not returning many phone calls, owner telling me not to pay son because he pockets the money, owner deciding not to do 2nd half of job because of a small dispute over what they did during the 1st half of the work. The paving has 1 depression where water pools. Paving was not compacted on 10' of one edge. Grass & weeds are growing through the paving after 6 months. I had to sue Clark Myers to force them to finish the job. At this point, they did everything up to the actual paving. As soon as they received the paperwork from the Scotia Town Court, their lawyer contacted me. If I withdraw the lawsuit, Clark Myer will finish the job.

I've used them every 2 years (based upon their recommendation) to seal our driveway for at least…read morethe last four visits. Most recently, May 2020. They send a flyer out in the mail early each season with an estimate. If you respond promptly enough they will honor that price and it has been less than what others quote. They take care to blow off any debris and weed wack the edges before applying the sealer. The driveway looks fantastic once it's done and does hold up for the 2 years.
