My boat has been in and out of a number of North Bay yards over the past 30 years, and Bay Marine is the one I trust. Each item in their work orders is either a fixed price or an accurate, reasonable estimate that they usually come in under. If additional work is needed they ask for a change order. Jaime keeps me in the loop as they work through issues. I can get at the boat 24/7 if necessary while it's in the yard. I used to get a bottle of wine along with my bill from KKMI, and it was the most expensive wine I ever got. Bay Marine has good communication, prices no higher than they have to be, and an always filled candy dish in the office. Good enough for me.

**REVIEW FOR SAUSALITO LOCATION**…read more My recent, and rather extensive, experience at KKMI Sausalito was truly top notch. I purchased a boat out of my local area and wanted to accomplish some significant refit work before relocating it to Southern California. The entire crew at KKMI was professional, knowledgeable and just great to work with. They worked hard to stay on schedule and and maintained excellent communication throughout. It's a boat, so there were a few last minute surprises but KKMI managed them well, making sure I did not miss my departure window. Thank you to the entire KKMI team (with special thanks to Project Manager, Mitch) for making a large project as stress-free as possible and delivering a quality result that was proven out on the 400nm shakedown trip home.

It's a very thin SS prop, and this couldn't have been easy. But these guys know they're doing! Due to the fall, one of the blades got bent. They fixed the blade, checked the pitch, balanced my prop and then polished it. And their prices are very reasonable. This place has new owners. I think they've been there ~1 year. Luis is a master mechanic. He's easy to work with and he is most professional. In the end, he had to pull the engine and I was impressed with how carefully he did that. He really knows his trade. Alison cares about clients and replies to your call, email or text in a timely manner. So, you don't have to wait long to hear back from them. In addition to being a great company they are affordable. They don't up sell and when they are there they check out the whole engine, not just what you asked them to look at. My boat is a 19ft Wellcraft cuddy cabin. It was having motor problems so I contacted Bay Area…read moreMarine. Luis came out and said that it was bad gas that was causing the problem. I authorized the work and was later informed that the outdrive needed to be repaired or replaced. I was given an estimate and authorized the work. When I got the boat back, I put it in the water and it ran great. When I came out in the morning the boat was half underwater. I got it bailed out and back on the trailer. The boat never leaked so when I confronted Luis I was told that it was nothing that he had done to cause the leak even though the leak was around the outdrive. I was told that it was no big deal because the boat had a bilge pump and was designed to live on a trailer. When I went to start it a short time later the starter just clicked. My guess is that the starter went underwater and is now siezed. I was never told about the leak and now I am stuck with a boat that I can't use or sell. I have had no response from Bay Area so I am in the process of taking them to small claims court. Stay clear of these guys.
