I hired Professional Insulation Services to install blown in insulation to reduce the noises from…read moreupstairs condo. The sales person told me it definitely would reduced the noise level. I was happy that it would at lease help the noise factor, if not entirely. However, the problem still exists with no improvement whatsoever, so I had a contractor come over to see what he thought of the Job and the finished product. He noted that since I have a dropped ceiling for the ductwork and the actual ceiling is only about 1" from upstairs condo floor above he noted there is no way, blown in insulation could be installed in the entire living room, kitchen or bedrooms as I thought I had contracted for. The "install" consisted of blowing fiberglass insulation around the duct work and there was no way the hose could get around corners to get to all the areas as most of it was blocked by cement and the ductwork. I was told the installers would make a "small" hole in the ceiling to run the hose through, (see photos) but they cut two 3'x3' holes in my living room ceiling and hallway. They quoted me $2,000.00 which I in good faith paid, only to learn that I had to have another worker come to put the drywall back in the ceiling. They sent one of the handymen they work with, who when he arrived said it would be $700.00 to replace the ceiling holes. I was shocked it was not included in the price! This was not in the quote!!! I was scammed and I want to warn everyone about this company. They also said that they used 16 bags of insulation for 1053 sq. feet of installation , but the ceiling itself is only 1" below the upstairs flooring and is cement! The rest of the ceiling consists of ductwork. They left my condo a mess and there was debris from the machine which was used in front of my apartment and my neighbors condo. Senior Citizen in Florida Scammed Again!!!!!!
