Justin Mcbride 20 reviews·5 photos 5 days ago NEW Service: Transmission I called and asked for a price to replace the torque converter clutch in my 2015 GMC Acadia and was told $1200. I thought that was really cheap and asked her to make sure, she confirmed it and even called me back to give the correct price. After dropping the vehicle off the next day I get an email to approve work for over $6000. I immediately called and said, "No, that sounds like a bait and switch!" Long story short I took my car to a local GMC dealership who performed the job for $4652.29. I feel bad for anyone who wouldn't have known better and would have just paid that. The dealerships are almost always the most expensive, but somehow managed to beat this shops price by $1500. The second photo from the dealership also included a 4 wheel alignment. Buyer Beware

Back around 2019 I took a Honda manual 5 speed transmission in for repair. All Trans found the…read moreproblem to be a worn out input shaft bearing, and the transmission was repaired for a reasonable price. Several thousand miles later, I discovered that the transmission had been leaking fluid, so I replaced the axle seals (relative simple procedure) hoping that would stop the leak. Early last week the car refused to shift into reverse, and I found that the fluid was once again low. Refilling the fluid made no difference, so I pulled the transmission - and this time, disassembled it myself. I found the problem to be that a plastic "oil gutter" had fallen to the bottom of the transmission, and fouled the shift forks. During assembly, the "oil gutter" is supposed to be bonded in place. preventing it from later coming loose. Also, it appears that the fluid had been leaking past the input shaft seal; Honda's shop manual instructs the installer to wrap tape around the input shaft spline *before* pushing the input shaft through the seal, to avoid damaging the seal lip. I am pretty sure that this precaution was not taken by All Trans. To summarize, back in 2019 I removed a manual transmission and took it to All Trans for expert repair. I have since discovered that two assembly errors caused me to have to pull the transmission again (ugh!), and fix it myself this time.

The feeling of being dismissed or ignored can be a regular occurrence. However, that was not my experience here! I was greeted by a gentleman when I walked through the door. Even though he was on the phone, he still made time to speak to me and acknowledge my existence. Then I explained my issue, and unbeknownst to me Mark, one of the mechanics, was listening and came from the back all to see how he could help. I couldn't really explain my issue, so he asked if I could I drive him around so that he could listen. He explained what it possibly could be, and thank God it wasn't the transmission. He even told me how my transmission is unique and how it functions in my car. He told me what it sounded like and that he could take a look at it later in the week, but I had scheduling conflicts. So he recommended me to another spot that was close to where I lived. Which I thought was incredibly nice and he definitely did not have to do that. But he cared. I saw the reviews before coming here and I have to agree! This is a great spot to get the best customer service and your car fixed all in one.

The first…read moretime I initially took it, they kept the truck for three days without notifying me that the bolts were not able to be removed. So when I initially went to pick up the truck, I was told they could not complete the repair. Again, this was after three days of not calling me or messaging me with any updates at all regarding this additional issue with the repair. While I did get $100 off (something I guess), I had to bring it back after seeing if the bolts could be loosened by the oil they sprayed on them and the heat of driving it around for several days. When they finally notified me that the repairs were complete, I asked if they were able to remove the bolts. They mentioned that they were not and that they had to cut them and remove them (at additional charge). While we had discussed the potential of this happening, I let them know that I had never had a mechanic work on any of my vehicles and do extra work without first calling to notify me and ask if they can proceed. After this whole mess, the Saturday after it was repaired, I started hearing very loud metal on metal sounds occurring when I was accelerating and breaking. While I tried to call, I realized they were closed on Saturdays and I didn't feel this was something that could wait with how bad the sound was. I decided to make a difficult decision to take it to Toyota to get it inspected. They eventually got it looked at ($200 later) and told me it had to do with the backing plate rubbing up against the rotor. The mechanic did mention it had to do with the repair that occurred with the Aamco shop earlier in the week. https://app.truvideo.com/v/RTyBSwro?s=u66h7D+0eTCkjxY9r8Y62fct5iCS+vxUDlsvtuEb5LbuaviSn9OwJA== With Toyota clearly saying that it had to do with the repair that was done, I called Aamco back and asked that they reimburse me for the $200 that I was charged for the diagnostics. They mentioned that that was not possible and mentioned that I should have brought it back to them (an option that was not available this weekend). All in all, just horrible customer service overall with the lack of communication around additional repairs, causing another issue in the repair, and then just overall not taking responsibility for an additional issue that they caused. Will not be taking a vehicle back to this shop again and would recommend that anyone considering this place think twice before doing so.

After taking vehicle back several times, transmission was not fixed. Ebert's gave a different excuse each time, ranging from tires, catalytic converter, all sorts of bogus codes, however they were not correct. I needed my car so I took my vehicle to Easley Transmission who found several issues with the transmission, including a pin that had come loose in the transmission. Easley Transmission rebuilt my transmission for $4400 (highly recommend).
