Search for West Union (street or road, I forget which) and drive up it until you see parking on the right. Make sure you don't park in front of the Red Gate. Additional parking is supposedly behind the town's post office. I did the Pond Loop, the SVAC loop, and parts of Trillium trail. I also hiked up to Robin's Lookout. The lookout spot overlooks the pond, and you're able to see the Green Mountains. Gorgeous. Unfortunately, these trails are extremely buggy! I had myself covered in bug spray, but it didn't matter. Three to four bugs circled my head the entire time so the majority of my hike was spent swatting at the air around me. It got so frustrating, we weren't able to enjoy ourselves anymore. Maybe bring bug spray with you as you hike, but I doubt that'll help much.

This hike is perfect for summer because the trail is shaded the whole time, The heavily wooded Lye Brook Falls Trail runs for 2 miles through the Lye Brook Wilderness of the Green Mountain National Forest near Manchester. The blue-blazed hiking trail follows the bed of a former logging railroad up a gradual slope paralleling Lye Brook. Near the southern end of the trail, a spur will take you to the cascading 125-foot Lye Brook Falls, one of Vermont's highest. Parking is available at the northern end of the trail at the end of Lye Brook Access Road. The trailhead is located to the east of the parking lot. The waterfall itself is calming and tall.

When we arrived at the 4th bridge, our stopping point, she made us pay extra for the rafts. Mind you she never explained to us that the rafts were extra. Plus when we tried to tell her she never explained that the rafts were extra, she said "Well I said to get tubes not rafts." I recommend finding another place to go. Other than that it was a great experience and the river was beautiful

Not only that, her lack of communication lead to a payment mixup that was handled terribly on her part. She ended up screaming at us and threatening to not give us our car keys back unless we did as she demanded. Otherwise, the river was beautiful and very relaxing. However, I recommend finding a better place with more respectful customer service.
