I called here looking for clergy shirts and spoke with a very nice and knowledable man named Tim, he told me the things I was looking for were in stock. I showed up, he set them aside for me and I was able to try them on. On top of that, I had a few other questions (for example, how to affix a collar to a clergy shirt) and he took the time to show me. I was very grateful for that. I was on the hunt for my newborn baby girls christening gown. I had searched online but nothing seemed to peak my interest. I was then recommended to go to Prospect Hill and I am SO glad I went. It felt like wedding dress shopping for my baby girl. TONS of options and even a changing table for her to try any of them on! The employees were wonderful. They greeted and helped me right away, walking me right back to the christening gown area. She then sanitized the changing station for me and offered us to try on any gown we wanted! The changing area even had disposable bibs available to keep each dress clean! All the dresses were more beautiful in person. We had so much fun trying them all! Every employee we bumped into was helpful, kind and informative. I ended up buying a gorgeous gown with a matching bonnet and shoes, all for a reasonable price! I took my daughter there today to try on First Communion dresses. They have a huge selection. She found a few that she loved. The one she eventually chose had a loose bead, and the seamstress there fixed it for us while we waited, so we didn't have to go back. The place was packed when we arrived, but the staff was very helpful and friendly - we didn't have to go around trying to find someone to help us. I will definitely go back in a couple years when it's time to find my son's First Communion suit. read more

Prospect Hill company is a large store that carries many items, gifts for First Holy Communion and all other Catholic Sacraments. The store also carries Holy Images, Posters, Rosaries, Gift cards, Furniture, Crucifixes and many Church Supplies. They also have discount/sale section in the store with many gifts and books. The store carries several Catholic and Protestant books and a good selection of pre-Vatican II and post-Vatican II Catholic books from different Catholic publishers (Pauline Media, TAN, Ignatius, etc.). Although the the number of pre-Vatican II books is lower, one can find gems such as the 4 volume set of Butler's Lives of the Saints (hardcover), an excellent spiritual reading and inspirational Catholic treasure. We were also pleasantly surprised to find the Catholic concordance, i.e. 'A Textual Concordance of the Holy Scriptures (Douay-Rheims Version)' by Thomas David Williams at this store. The store also has a CD/DVD section with music from Andrea Bocelli to contemporary/general christian music. The store also plays contemporary/general music in the background. Customer service needs help and be sure not to pay with cash. They don't give cash back even with a receipt saying "paid in full with CASH"

This place is wonderful. After trying many places from Nordstrom to small boutiques I was getting nervous that we wouldn't find the right dress for my daughter's First Communion. We live in New Jersey and were in town for weekend and heard Prospect Hill has a great selection. They do. They have a huge selection ranging in price point from $60-over $225z. The salespeople are helpful and, most importantly to me, patient! We must have tried 20 dresses. There is also a good number of dressing rooms. Wow - this place is great. I was looking for somewhere for a first communion dress, and Prospect Hill was recommended by family from church. They had EVERYTHING. So many dresses across a range of prices, which were well organized by size, also veils, shoes, stockings. One stop shopping, and the sales people could not have been more kind and helpful. For at least 50 yrs. I have been going to Prospect Hill Co. but more infrequently since I moved to Middleboro and my children have grown up. Last week I was looking for a special gift for my daughter who is turning 50. The owner Tim, was explaining something to a customer so I asked one of the girls for help. The girls are so welcoming and so helpful. I left there with a big smile on my face and am sure that my daughter will love the cross with the heart and diamond in the middle. It was something I'm sure she'll treasure well after I am gone. There is so much stock and so many choices there. Prices are reasonable too. You're never disappointed at Prospect Hill. read more

My son needed First Communion shoes, and everyone at work told me about Prospect Hill (I work in a Catholic School). I looked online and found the perfect pair for $30! I was so excited. My mom was going to run over and grab the shoes, but when I called to make sure they had his size in stock, the owner told me that they were in fact $55. I asked if he would honor his website price and he said "no." He then told me the website had been hacked this weekend, when in reality the price has been $30 on the website for a few weeks. I just hadn't gotten a chance to call over there. At first I didn't realize he was the owner, so I asked if I could talk to a manager. He then told me he was the owner. I then said that it wasn't very good business. He then thanked me for thinking of them, and proceeded to hang up on me. Totally disrespectful. First off, you're a religious store... nice job lying... secondly, admit it was a mistake, and take your loss. You might have said, "Wow, that's a really big mistake. I'm happy to honor that price, but I need to change it immediately." Instead you lied, and hung up on me. Peace be with you... read more
