Just 6 storefronts from the array of restaurants on 8 Av itself nestled between the Sports Club at 850 and the karoke place which may never reopen is this excellent grimy but legit plumbers' supply store. The knowledge is high, the service levels are unexpectedly alright for an ethnic Cantonese hardware business where staff typically ignore customers not actively getting what they want or knowing what they already want. English support is namely dependent on if the younger staff are present. The physical dangers from the regular hauling means children and elderly are best not to stay long or linger outside. Pricing and value are tops, inventory variety and availability are so-so, focuses on the basics and staples and most high demand wanted. It's on Google as "L & G Plumbing Supply Inc" but hasn't been called that in 3+y.

We…read moreasked for all bronze trim for the windows and doors for the exterior and for some odd reason he gave us the suggestion of a different color for the side door. He should have been more transparent that the color is NOT the same as the other doors he was quoting us. Instead of rectifying the situation he keeps blaming me telling me that I could've went in person or did an unfinished options or went with another manufacturer, none of which was ever brought up to me in the first place. He was communicating with our contractor when the order was being written up, not me. I would save yourself the headache and the time and go with a different vendor. For someone who has 30 years of experience his professionalism is dismal! Not to mention we have so much more windows and doors to replace. We will find a different vendor for all purchases moving forward. TO BE CLEAR: Jerry you were only in direct contact with Mike my contractor I only paid for the doors so your comment if absolute FALSE. you made no mention that ONE door of the SEVEN you quoted me was a different color. ALSO in the SPEC all of the trim says BRONZE which is Very misconstruing! Honestly, if I could just help one person not use this vendor I feel like I have done my due diligence in society. It's no surprise that this company has a 2.7 star review. Jerry is incompetent at his job and didn't even remember what he quoted us and what was asked. We asked for black windows with BRONZE trim and BRONZE exterior doors with white interior. He emailed me saying my window colors were different, not knowing that I am fully aware of the color chosen for the window. Attached is just a hint of the true professionalism you can expect with Jerry Steib.

Stewart, an incredibly kind & knowledgeable man helped us. He was quick to give us information to fully inform our purchases. I found a hardware store with no pictures and no reviews at 493 McDonald Ave. It looked closed so I went to google and did the same search and found another business at this same address: McDonald Hardware Supply. I called and they had exactly what I needed. When I walked in, I picked out my caution tape (they had two sizes) but there was a $20 credit card minimum. I ended up buying two rolls of blue painters tape and having a short discussion with the owner about his free Yelp business owners account and his free page. The Yelp page didn't automatically populate after I added him but because he was so nice and helpful, I helped him download both apps to his phone. Igbal is a very nice man and I will certainly be back next time we are in the area and I am in need of supplies. Thank you!
