This addition is a well-needed, state of the art events and physical education building, long overdue for the students and faculty. This building boasts over 21,000 square feet that brings together the performing arts and physical education. This connection is developed through the Hall of Fame, which physically connects the two groups. In addition to showcasing the School's rich heritage, the Hall of Fame area acts as a meeting space during events. The project also includes boys and girls locker room, coaches' offices, sports team rooms, restrooms and showers, wrestling rooms, dance room, trainer's room, and multi-use event space with telescoping theatre seating. It was incredibly endearing to see current and former staff taking pride in their campus' accomplishment, honoring the fact that they will be Sultans forever. Like most, I remember my former high school well. I would be remiss if I didn't mention that Santana is my alma mater (class of 2002) and the place where I met my husband, Brandon. (Although we are proud Wolfpack parents of our son Noah over at West Hills!)

All of the boys should get a chance to play in the games just not practice. How are they going to learn if they just sit week after week on the bench. Not to say what that does to there self esteem. If you child plays soccer choose a different school. Or sign them up for club. Westhills boys soccer will just be a disappointment and a waste of there after school time.

This school is a gem. The teachers here genuinely care about their students and go above and…read morebeyond their duties. In the younger grades especially, there was so much creativity from the classroom layout to the activities themselves that I have never seen in any other school. The children in both general education and special education classrooms are given the attention and encouragement they need to achieve to the best of their abilities, and the school makes a strong point of, even in the elementary grades, reinforcing the idea that the kids there are all college-bound and headed for success. As an aside, on the first day when I arrived and saw all of the pep rallies, the pets in the classrooms, and one class who had gone on a fieldtrip to Legoland that day I thought, Wow, if I were a kid, I'd want to go here! After 5 months of close interaction with the students and teachers "behind the scenes," my opinion on that, both personally and professionally, has remained unchanged.

He is a special needs student and has some behavioral issues, but his teacher is ill-prepared to deal with them and instead uses harsh and unfair tactics to humiliate and intimidate my son. As a primary teacher myself, I know that self-esteem can be a fragile thing and must be nurtured with positive rewards for good behavior. Unfortunately, this teacher appears to believe in scare tactics that will "toughen up" our children. My son has become an outcast by his friends and is known as the one who gets picked on by the teacher.

The teachers and staff truly go above and beyond to create an environment where each child feels seen, valued, and encouraged to grow. We currently have three children at the school, and each of them has had such a positive and unique experience. The balance between strong academics and character development is something we deeply appreciate. It's clear that the school is focused on nurturing the whole child, building confidence, kindness, and a genuine love for learning. One of the highlights for our family has been the musical program. Our daughters have been involved in the school musical, and it has been such a meaningful experience for them. Not only have they grown in confidence and creativity, but they've also formed friendships across different grade levels, which has been so special to see. The sense of community that comes from these programs is truly something unique. We couldn't be happier with our experience and feel lucky every day to be part of this amazing school. My daughter has been attending MHA middle school since 6th grade. Even the inside of the middle school was a disappointment because there were no walls separating the different classrooms. Fast forward to present day, my daughter is in 8th grade and I am so sad she is now leaving MHA to go off to high school. Mrs Robertson is now the director at the middle school, there have been major staff changes, they even spent all summer redoing the entire inside of the school! There are walls, student lounge areas, amazing new staff, Mrs Robertson's office is right there so she can oversee everything, and there is even a counselor that comes once a week that will meet with any student or parent that might have any issues or concerns that they want to discuss, they have monthly meetings with the entire middle school about mental health as well. My daughter is thriving and loving school! We feel so confident and comfortable with her there. We love the new/returning staff, new programs, building updates, etc. I wish they had an MHA high school!! We have a younger daughter that will be at the middle school next year and we are so happy that she will be at MHA. She has some learning disabilities and the staff has been so accommodating to her. We really appreciate all the positive changes that MHA has made for this school year. Not only are the students more happy this year, you can tell the staff are excited to be there as well. I like this school. My son has made an easy transition here from elementary school. I think they do…read morea good job with the academic programs. They offer homework assistance before school every morning in the library starting at 8 am. My son doesn't utilize it, but I'm sure if he needed to we would. He's been able to maintain an A average all year. His teachers are great. I love that they all embrace technology in the classroom, a marked improvement from elementary school. I especially love his speech and language therapist, she is just fantastic. She made the transition so smooth for him. I wish everyone had her excitement and passion for work. She is a great asset to this district. I know his life and time at Parkway Middle School is vastly improved for having her in it. Rather than focusing on past issues I have had with the district, I would just like to say that my experience with this school has been much more positive and I feel that my son has definitely experienced a better environment over here. I've also witnessed how they deal with behavior issues while on campus picking my son up for appointments. I was pleased with the approach; it was firm, fair and consistent.
