This place is phenomenal. At Juniper you can treat yourself to amazing wines, cocktails and specialty drinks outside the same boring drink menus you will find elsewhere. It doesn't stop there - the bites of food accompany the drinks perfectly and are a party to your tastebuds! (Yep a real wine-bar menu people!) The service is experienced; professional, yet laid-back, conversational and accommodating. The atmosphere is cozy and warm. If I lived a bit closer I would be a regular. If you are a local tune into their special events to capture all they have to offer! Oh and I can't forget to mention the amazing little shop up front. Buy delightful chocolates, upscale culinary treats and they have a spectacular liquor store. Get anything from your cheap weeknight must-have to wines and liquors you won't see anywhere around. My husband and I wanted a light bite. We had a delicious salad with a great dressing and shared chicken tacos. It was delicious. The place is adorable. Sells wine in the front and has a small bar with bistro tables in the back. Staff is very accommodating and service is quick. We were on a bus tour and recommended this for others on future tours. The expanded bar here is awesome. It's a nice getaway from the Dollar or the Irma. much more comfortable and laid back. They had a guitarist from Ft Collins come in last Saturday as well. Back patio is a great place to light up a cigar, even in the winter as they have heat lamps back there and such. read more

Since we travel with our two dogs, we are constantly looking for places to have a glass of wine and an appetizer that allow dogs. Juniper is the best we have ever found. Accessing the patio from the back eliminates the hassle of getting to a table through the front door. The patio is cool and eclectic. Wine selection was perfect for us. The appetizers are not the usual bar food, but creative selections. Our artichoke appetizer was great. Lastly, the owners are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Treated so poorly. Juniper is so full of hipsters trying to act cool that it's hard to enjoy the admittedly tasty food. Tasty enough that we chose it for a recent celebration, although the mistreatment of one co-worker prompted my first ever negative review. After everyone ordered (very expensive) drinks, the friend mentioned to the server that she is allergic to nuts and asked advice for ordering something safe. To the discomfort of everyone at the table, he scoffed (scoffed!), proceeding to inform her that "as a restaurant, there is no way to know what food touches what food." The absurdity struck the table quiet, as the friend calmly assured him that she was merely asking whether their kitchen followed best practices to avoid cross-contamination. At that point, he repeated that "as a restaurant, we can't guarantee anything," so she just went ahead and ordered to diffuse the awkwardness. The rest of us followed, ordering appetizers, a few entrees to split, as well as another round of drinks. Then came the worst part - the food was delivered to the table by the chef herself. Because a few people had ordered the same dish, I asked which one was safe for the allergy, a question which triggered a disgusted, condescending, blatantly rude response ... As if every quality restaurant in America in 2018 does not accommodate special needs, she proceeded to lecture the entire table that the server should have communicated that anyone who comes to a restaurant with an allergy does so at their own risk. Just terrible!! So rude, unkind, and unprofessional! So despite the pleasant (albeit fake Brooklyn) setting and solid business concept, the folks at Juniper have no idea what it means to engage in hospitality. read more

Not your average bar or liquor store. They have a great selection and great prices. This is a unique place with creative cocktails, expertly selected brews and vino. Everything is so original. Their menu has splendid small plates of shareable finger foods. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The lounge is cozy and relaxing.
