Beavertown Brewery - Taps

Since its launch in 2014, the Beavertown Brewery taproom has drawn pilgrimages of craft beer…read moredrinkers to Tottenham Hale. As the brewery became more obsequious and recognised across the city, the popularity of the taproom has proportionally increased- currently only open to the public on Saturdays, it's customary to expect queues: the ten taps at the bar will always have the freshest beers going, with the core range and seasonals represented in good measure. The beer list is available in advance online and special releases will be promoted on social media. There are fridges where bottles can be purchased and customers can imbibe onsite. Outside, there's a small can bar of the core range, where Neck Oil and Gamma Ray can be sourced without a lengthy wait. There are pita crisps available at the bars and always a pop-up food vendor purveying hot dishes to counterbalance the drinking session- on a recent visit, we had scrumptious burgers from Squid Kitchen paired with some patatas bravas. When the sun is shining, there's plenty of seating outdoors in the form of communal wooden tables, chairs made from pallates and even reject diner plastic chairs and table sets. Inside, there's no seating, but clusters of people gather- prudently within a eyeshot from the bar. There's also the thrill of supping a beer in the brewery itself, under the shadow of the mammoth fermenter tanks. The atmosphere is always convivial, mostly older Millennials and discerning types- but there's always a contingency of drinkers who are content to graze on their Gamma Ray without sampling some of the smaller batch offerings. The Beavertown staff are always welcoming and enthusiastic- they'll talk you through the selection on tap and will make recommendations. They're run off their feet as the queue snakes around the bar without respite from the moment that the doors open, but maintain a steady pace and sense of humour. While it's patently obvious that the popularity of the brewery and their beer has been unprecedented over the past two years and that the taproom can't sustain the swelling crowds for much longer, it's worth experiencing before the next incarnation of the brewery bar is announced. There's a lot of talk about a designated pub or expansion within the confines of the industrial yard, but nothing has been officially announced. In the meantime, it's worth eking out to Tottenham Hale to drink some great beer from the source- just make sure you try a bit of everything and that you get down there early.

I can only imagine the amazing atmosphere here during a game. I ordered the Bones lager and hubby got Neck oil. We enjoyed both on their patio behind the building. Neck oil was on tap in many pubs we visited, so it's obviously a very popular beer in London. I like all the colorful art in the taproom and on their glasses as well!

I do think this is one of the best burgers I've had in London…read more Lucky Chip burgers are served at the Old Queen's Head pub on Essex Road. The menu is fun, the burgers arrive quickly. Aged beef patty with pickle, ketchup and mustard. Had the cheeseburger with proper melty American cheese which really is the best for burgers. Good bun too that holds together. The burgers are cooked medium and I mean a proper pink medium, not just browned on the edges verging on raw in the middle which some other places are doing. The taste and overall experience is right up there and everything is just right, especially the beef patty itself which was perfection. Decent fries too. Coleslaw was good enough but not the highlight here. Been there twice. Consistently good each time and with reasonable prices and great service it adds up to a top rating from me.

I went to have a burger on Saturday night which there was a cover charge to enter which was bizarre…read morebecause I was only there to eat dinner. It was very crowded as this is also a night life spot. Down stairs you have tables to lounge chit chat and eat. You have to go to the bar area to order drinks and food. The menu is very minimal not many options think in n out outside Cali. I ordered a double cheeseburger without bacon grilled onions and chipotle mayo and truffle fries . The patties very large juicy and greasy as one could imagine. However, just good no over barring flavor definitely greasy. The fries were delightful just the right amount of parm and truffle. After eating I decided to make the most of my entry and go upstairs to dance. Please note the restroom area is very small I believe three stalls but enclosure is crampeD. Upstairs was vibey, Dj played a mixture of American tunes , 90s rap and UK beats. I would recommend this place for a burger and/or nightlife
