When he began to put in the propane, he noticed a hose that did not look right so immediately got some soapy water and sprayed that connection. Sure enough the hose needed to be replaced. no problem. He retrieved the hose, installed it tested it again, and we were on our way. Oh BTW, inside the receptionist-business manager was as pleasant as she could be with the constant smile and bright eyes toward discussions with my wife and me. We notified the company that our gauge sticks and twice we've run out of propane. We are also on…read morethe plan where the delivery man comes and checks it when he's in the area but he does not tap the gauge so it shows full. Then he comes back a week later, taps the gauge and its empty, so now we have a $500 propane bill which we were trying to avoid by having them check it. This last week, our delivery man took our meter off because HE did not have record of us making a payment even though we had just made one and had a bill showing it. The company still made us pay the $50 reconnect fee. I personally think it is the delivery man, Mr. Stare. If he is your delivery man, beware his shady practice. I am handicapped and though my gauge read 70% when he reconnected us, its actually down to 20% because he refuses to tap the gauge and the company will not replace it even though it is their tank! Unfortunately, there is not another propane company that I know of in the area.

The store itself is less than 1000 ft.², and has the usual offerings which includes an ATM and an ice table of cold drinks. It also has 21 refrigerated doors of cold drinks and beer, but not much in the way of craft beer. They only have one small dated bathroom with a small toilet and sink for public use. They do sell firewood and ice, but no propane tanks. Apparently, they also make pizza from a small oven behind the counter. I found the gas prices to be a little bit high compared to your average HEB . At least it does have six modern pump stations.
