Such a beautiful space and some really fun finds. A great place to pick up a gift for a plant lover.

I got a beautiful hanging plant from propagate a while back and it's still thriving!! The employees were super helpful and knowledgeable. Very cute little shop as well! read more

I came in today wanting to purchase a plant and pot as a gift. The dude who helped me was awesome. He asked me questions, put together a few options and encouraged me to choose what I thought was best. Then he put it all together for me so I could gift it. I felt welcomed and comfortable. I am happy to support local businesses like this. Keep up the good work! read more

I really wanted to love this place. The reviews were awesome and I love plants, I have about forty at home. I found that a lot of their low maintenance plants to be out of shape. Especially the pothos and philodendron. My friend and I were the only two people who walked in who weren't acknowledged which led to a very uninviting experience. read more

So after reading the reviews I went in expecting to see outrageous prices and was pleasantly surprised. This place had amazing prices. Idk where everyone else is getting their plants as cheap as theyre expecting but I thought the pricing was completely expected if not better than other competitors. I shop around at markets, online, even Etsy and this place still had some of the best prices I've seen especially for pots. I got a HUGE plant for 22 dollars that I saw earlier that day for almost double the price and it was smaller. I'm definitely going back and am definitely balling out next time bout to have my whole house looking like a jungle read more

When you walk in you are introduced with dark light and depressed plants. It's atrocious that they call themselves a plant store when they focus on "aesthetically" pleasing trinkets. If you want to buy a overpriced under-watered plant then please go here. But I will be going to a plant store that actually values their plants health. read more

I now have 5 plants that I've purchase from Propagate and every time the staff was super friendly and helpful. When I expressed interest in a plant that they didn't stock they ordered it for me! They helped me repot one of my plants that wasn't doing well and even drilled a hole for me in a pot that didn't have drainage. They're my goto neighborhood plant store and I can't wait to keep going back! read more

Georgia is amazing! Came in today right at 10 when they opened with a fiddle that needed some major rehab. Georgia helped me right away, changed its soil, transferred it to a new pot and gave me some pointers on how to take care of it. This isn't my first time at this shop and definitely won't be my last. Thank you!!! read more

It's my first time checking out this place. It's beautiful inside! And the lady that helped me out is very knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely I'll be coming here often. read more

This place is magical. The women who work here are so friendly and knowledgeable--I don't even really know or care about plants (it's my boyfriend's thing) but man, I want to hang out here nonetheless. I'm now trying to talk myself into committing to buying a plant for myself just because I want to support them so much and surround myself with all these cool vibes. In the meantime I go in to buy gifts their aAlso, they do pop up dinners because who wouldn't want to eat delicious food in a glorious jungle read more

I absolutely love the vibe I get when I walk in to propagate, I used to go to exotic plants a lot but I feel like they're really lacking in the last couple years it's been a progressive downhill. Especially with all the new plant stores in Sacramento I just feel like propagate has become my new favorite, it's so warm and fuzzy when you walk in and you feel like they stepped into an Instagram post read more

I scheduled a virtual appointment as I was looking for a couple of plants for my new home. Georgia FaceTimed me at our scheduled time, I showed her the spaces in my house I wanted to add a plant and she showed me plants that would thrive given the light and space. I felt no pressure to purchase anything yet she showed me options of exactly what I was looking for. Georgia is so knowledgable about plant care I could barely keep up and write my notes fast enough! She assured me that she is always available to answer questions. I reached out to her several times with questions and she graciously answered my questions without making me feel like I was bothering her. I chose to have my new plant babies and pots delivered. Georgia went above and beyond. She helped me position each plant precisely the right way and reviewed plant care. Georgia also transferred a plant I already had into one of the pots I bought from Propagate and trimmed the leaves making it look the healthiest it's ever been. She did not have to do any of this! What distinguishes Propagate from other plant stores is the relationship they build with their customers. Building community clearly matters to them! The plants are not cheap but you are not just purchasing a plant or pot, you are purchasing an plant insurance policy and continuous plant care support. read more

Filling a great need in midtown for a cozy little plant shop with great selection for indoor plants! The owner and staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. Love that you can get just the right amount of soil, moss and a cute pot to complete the project. They will even drill a hole in your pot for only $2! Definitely eats my attempts at doing it myself. Will be stopping by regularly! read more

My boyfriend and I love succulents, and I personally love plants. We live far out of the way so when we went to Sacramento, we stopped by here because I heard some decent things about it. We're always looking for new plants to add to our collection, or something useful like oxygen purifying plants or whatever. We came here and were both pleased and disappointed. They did have a few plants that were "rare" and they came in different sizes, but they were so. expensive. 8$ for two inch pots or 10-16 for a bigger one. 500$ for a big leafy plant. All the pots were expensive, 12-36 dollars AT LEAST. 6 inch tall bonsai trees were 36$ and the bug eating plants started around 30$ too. It was a bit overpriced for us even though we got a new string of pearls, ceramic pot, and 2 cute new stickers, but if you're looking for full, healthy plants despite the price, this is the place to go. The staff was also very helpful and friendly. They also do rewards and points! read more

I have to be honest, I was never much of a "plant guy" but my wife begged me to check this place out with her on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Upon entering the store we were greeted by the owner Alli with a warm smile and she offered us a refreshment to my surprise. The employees have a vast knowledge of plants and styling homes. My wife convinced me to buy her a few plants and I have to be honest, they've grown on me, no pun intended. I water them as often as she does and it's nice to have something alive in the house. The location is great and service is better. 10/10 will be back. read more

I signed up for a class over a month in advance. I was told with 4 hours notice that they were cancelling the class. I would have thought that their cancellation policy for students would somewhat apply to them as well. Nope, with very little apologies I was told they would be flexible and be willing to take my money for another class. Yeah, they will never get a penny from me or my friends in the future. read more

This place is is adorable and has a wide variety of plants. We were helped out by Georgia who was incredibly knowledgeable. Didn't buy anything but went in to ask a bunch of questions and they were so helpful and not upset at all when I said I was just there to ask questions and not buy anything. Their plants are gorgeous and so well taken care of. Definitely going back there! read more

Small but mighty is the best way to describe this cute, well curated lil plant shop. Customer service is excellent- you are welcomed in with a huge smile by their staff and they're extremely patient while you browse, always available to answer questions. For the space, their selection is fairly vast! Prices range all over but I believe the average small houseplant runs around $18. I am particularly drawn to the nursery plants- it's so fun watching them grow. $8 runs on the steep end for those tiny babies but then you can really expand the variety in your collection... you'll just need add some patience + care. read more

Everyone was very helpful and had information to share. Plants cost a little more but are way healthier than big box stores.

Helpful beyond all expectations. Very accommodating to returns and exchanges. Will provide you info on any plant you need help with, even if it's any random plant from home. Helps if you can't get a good pic or don't know how to form the question for help online. read more
