I love this nail salon. I have only gotten dip (natural nails) but they've turned out exactly how I wanted them each time. No bumps, so smooth and even. They last a while. No chips or breaks - I get them done every 3 weeks just because of growth. This salon isn't the fanciest salon around but they accommodate you any time and do a great job. I've been going to Pro Nails in Cumberland RI for years. I've never been disappointed until recently. The first bad experience I had was when a woman was FaceTiming her friend while she was having her nails done. The next time I went was a total rush job with the owner working on two people. The next visit was a lady having a conversation in Spanish with her headphones on. I don't care what language she was speaking it is rude to do that. They should really have a cell phone policy. The final straw was today when I had an appointment at 2:00 and I waited 20 minutes for service. I decided to walk out. Oh, then they were ready for me. Isn't this why we make an appointment? There were five ladies including me sitting at the nail counter and two guys doing nails. This was my first nail & waxing appointment since everything was shutdown due to COVID. To say I was excited would be an understatement. 3 1/2 months of awful nails & brows was coming to an end. I arrived 5 minutes before my scheduled appointment, wearing a mask, used hand sanitizer & checked in at the iPad station. They were over-run & under-staffed. I can appreciate everyone wanting to get their nails done but don't take appointments if you can't keep them. I waited 40 minutes before being seated and still didn't have a technician.My appointment was at 2:00 and I didn't get a technician until 2:58. Seriously? Even in the midst of this madness, an hour wait is unacceptable with an appointment. I went in with an appointment asking for a gel manicure, a deluxe pedicure & an eyebrow wax. I left with a regular manicure, a regular pedicure & an eyebrow wax. Arrived at 1:55. Left at 4:35. You do the math. They get a partial pass as they're just getting going again after COVID but even this is unacceptable in terms of delays & service. I'll go elsewhere. read more

Came here once and will not come here again for mainly one reason. My nails came out pretty good and the design was actually beautiful. What made me not want to come back was due to the manager it possible owner belittling the nail technician who did my nails and complaining about her workers who did not speak up for themselves. She complained about her nail techs not putting the nail polish back in their respective places even tho they were not done w/my nails then yelled at the nail tech in front of me. Then continued to complain about her workers to another woman. Very unprofessional and disrespectful to even treat people like this in front of clientele and in general. I hope she reads this review and learns to fix her attitude because she will lose clients. read more

Jenny is absolutely amazing. She always makes My nails beautiful and I am extremely picky. This is the only place I'm gone that my nails can last up to 4 weeks without returning and I get the dip. Everywhere else the dip comes off after 2-3 weeks. I always change the shape and color and she will always make me comfortable like its no problem. I like doing my own nails but they always come out better when she does them. read more

It pains me to have to write this update as I do love Pronails but lately it seems every time I go I am waiting for at least an hour! I'm super happy Pronails has grown in popularity but something needs to be done regarding those who call and make appointments ahead of time versus walk-ins. At this point do not even bother scheduling an appointment because you will be waiting, most likely for a half hour or longer, especially if it is on a weekend in the afternoon or later. I did rave about the $25 pedicures and now it depends on which technician you receive, some give you a great Pedi but it seems due to the high volume of people, the technicians have been rushed and not able to do their best work. Hopefully they can get a new technician or two and work out the issues with appointments, if not, I'll be making super early morning appointments in attempt to avoid the chaos! read more

Went in for a Pedi and although the seats are comfortable I just couldn't handle all the yapping. Got a pedicure and the water was so hot. The man ran the water, had me sit, and disappeared. No one came over to check the temperature and I sat there with my feet in (and out) of the tub for 20 minutes. The actual pedicure paint job was nice. However I am ticklish and normally the pumice stone bothers me (which is expected) but when she did the massage and applied lotion she just kept rubbing over my ticklish spot which made me jerk my feet around. This is not enjoyable or relaxing. Also she scrubbed my calves/shins so hard that she scrubbed the three scabs (from shaving) right off. **Second visit was much better but still nothing to rave about. I had a terrible time at Pro Nails and Spa. I had the worst service I've ever had at a nail salon before here. Called in to see if they had any availability for two pedicures and they said yes. My mom and I were trying to have a relaxing afternoon together. I waited in the water for over 30 minutes for someone to come over. No one checked on me or anything. The water began to be cold at 15-20 minutes and I kindly spoke up. I was already getting slightly irritated but let it go. I waited even longer afterward which only made matters worse. An older lady finally started on my nails and was taking quite a bit of time. Normally I'm fine with this if the work is precise. However, I was left with peeling skin on my toes that was left unmanaged. A male worker and a younger female both had to continue my nails. I was extremely uncomfortable when the older lady was staring at my feet while they both worked. The other lady gave me attitude when I spoke up about my experience. She belittled me and spoke to me like a child about my toes! I usually never say anything or complain but I can't let this go unnoticed. If they could not manage two pedicures, they should have not said yes to us on the phone. First and last time I will ever go to this place. I am extremely unhappy and disappointed. This place has so many colors of the dip powered! It's almost overwhelming how many they have. This was my first time trying the dip and I love it. I tend to break my gel nails in the first week so this is a great alternative for me. I did break one on day 8 but they fixed it for free! That's so nice of them. Staff was knowledgeable and very genuinely sweet making small talk. It's always busy and I went to get that nail fixed at 10am on a Monday! So prepare to wait or call ahead. They are reasonably priced but I didn't realized I had to mention I want the whole shebang manicure with my dip, so make sure you make that clear because I was a bit disappointed but realized my mistake when I read their pricing on the wall. This place is definitely a good choice if you need a quick nail appointment. I wouldn't call it spa quality so don't come here if you're looking for quiet relaxation. This place is loud and full of life. Tips are cash only which is the worst! I'll have o make up for my lack of cash next time. To be honest, it usually takes some sort of occasion to get me into a nail saloon.. but with flip flop season coming up i wanted to get a pedicure done and thanks to two other reviews on yelp, i found my wai to pronails. The staff here is SUPER friendly. I walked in and of course got the standard hello from everyone, but they genually make you feel like you've been there a million times when you walk in and sit down. I ended up getting a mani/pedi and they ended up doing the majority of the mani while i was in the pedicure chair.. i felt like a damn queen lol. The pedicure though is amazing.. they use hot stones after exfoliating.. i've never seen that that before. For only $25 you can't really go wrong with that! They also like to get creative, and i couldn't be happier with both my fingers and toe decorations lol. I'm not even that much of a girly girl either. I'll definately be back. My favorite part though... whenever i get my nails done it's usually hard to understand what the nail tech is saying because their accents are so tough to decipher, at least for me. From what i could tell the employees here obviously speak their native language, but their English is pretty good too. I got there 10 minutes before it opened(9am) on a Saturday. she took me right away. But started rushing as soon as the crowd started coming in. She put 3 coats on my nails one after the other without drying in between. I was there for TWO hours for a POLISH CHANGE on my toes and hands. Most of that time spent under the dryer. Needless to say they never dried and when I went home to shower at 1 o'clock.... all of the polish washed off with the water. Absolute trash. So first off she said she would be ready by 1020 and did not start until 11. It was my sister and I doing acrylics and she did both of our nails but kept switching back and fourth. She shaped and prepped and all of that ( kind of crooked but that's whatever) and then she painted them. When our nails were drying she started another girls nails ( so now she's doing all 3 of us) and she takes the girls old nails off adds tips and shapes completely (so we waiting about 15 minutes for that) then she does my sisters designs which were flowers and a little sloppy but she kept complaining that my sisters nails were too small for the design (mind you the girls nails in the picture she was showing are almost the same size) So that got done and then she went to do my design of flowers and let me tell you it took her like 30 seconds to do 4 nails and they look so messy but whatever i can get over that. then we wait for our nails to dry before the top coat while she is doing the other lady's nails picking the dip color and all of that taking forever once again. Apparently i banged my nail in the 10 minutes she was gone and so she goes to put the clear coat and tells me i messed it up and if i messed it up again she was going to k*ll herself. Then she puts on my clear coat and I let it dry. After it dries i noticed that the purple from the design must have gotten on the clear coat and transferred onto my white nail and there is literally a piece of brush in my nail. I used to come here with a very good friend who lived down the street. I never had a complaint, always received good service. Unfortunately, today I came with my sister hoping for a relaxing dip manicure. It seemed they were low on staff, I waited for 45 mins with my nails in acetone, which I did not mind, again I used to come here and know it long itcan take some time. The unfortunate part was when I was finally attended to. The gentleman who has worked there for some time, unsure of his name, was notably irritated and was huffing and puffing when taking my hand. He was aggressive when removing the gel on my nails. Complaining when I was requesting how I wanted my nail shaped, and talking under his breath when I pointed out that one of my nails were longer than the next. He became even more irritated when I asked him for a specific color which I had asked if they had when I arrived, one of the sweet workers during my arrival had said they would find for me "we have it". This gentleman picked up a random color of his choosing and anticipated I would be agreeable. I explained that staff had said they had it, though he cut my off and told me to look for it. By this time I wanted to leave but instead relaxed. He finished with my nails without saying one word, tried small talk after noting I was not happy. He finished his work, which was messy. I have dip product stuck on my skin and under my nail. The sweet nail technician who serviced my sister had done and impeccable job. I guess that's the product you get when you have someone who is angry and miserable working at a nail salon. After talking wonders of this place with my sister, unfortunately I will not be returning. Best of luck to this business, if there was something I learned through retail, is that customer service always brings customers back. If you have employees that aren't able to provide that, it will drive customers away, as it did today. read more

Meh. That's about it. Ok, more details? In order to be sure my friend and I could get in at the same time, I had called ahead to make an appointment. We were a few minutes early. Didn't get seated for about 10 minutes, and didn't have anyone working on our feet for another 15. The water in the basins was COLD, and it took several times of both of us saying "this is cold, could we get it warmer please" before anyone did anything and turned on flat out hot water to warm it up. Both of us were happy with the variety of colors to select from, and were excited to get our toes all done up, and had quite been looking forward to getting our feet pampered a bit. Disappointing. Callouses were barely touched, even after comments were made about them (by both the staff and us). The massaging was alright, but while my calves got quite a lovely massage, my feet were barely touched. I will agree with everyone who said the staff are talented in their artistry, and did some lovely designs on my toes. But that's just not enough to bring me back here again- especially when, less than 48 hours after my pedicure, half of the polish on my big toe has fallen off. Sigh. I've been going here about once a month since moving to the area last year. Nothing but positive experiences. I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes. The pedicures are efficient and well done, and the prices are very reasonable. I don't like any frills with my pedicure, I like to be in and out, but if you enjoy pampering, they have plenty of options. One morning I was there early after getting my eyebrows threaded next door. They saw me checking the hours and opened the door for me, at least 15 minutes before they were scheduled to open. So nice! read more

I loved this place when they first opened And they were really good during the earlier years. But over the last year the service has really gone down hill. There are some people who work there that are really great but there are others that should not be doing nails. When it comes to a pedicure some of them are really lazy about doing a proper pedicure. I really like Pro Nails. They have done a great job every visit. They do get very busy though and sometimes yes...you have to wait! If you don't go during prime times, then it's usually quite fast. I find the prices to be very reasonable. If you're not comfortable around people speaking in a different language, then this isn't the place for you. It really doesn't bother me. I went four days ago for a mani/pedi w shellac. My nails still look awesome and will for weeks. My only complaint is that they can get busy and I can't always wait. I came in to get my acrylics removed, the technician had absolutely no idea how to deal with or remove acrylics. I sat for about 30 minutes while he filed, and soaked my nails 5 times. My nails were almost down to my skin but somehow the acrylic was still stuck to the tips of my nails. This was painful and I had to tell this person to stop filing a few times. An older lady fixed what this person was doing wrong but please train your technicians properly! And $32 just for a terrible removal and regular gel manicure??? Disappointed. read more

I wanted to like this place because all of the employees were nothing but nice - sadly the experience was terrible. I only came in for a regular manicure, but was barely seen for 8 minutes. The technician was very frazzled and inattentive; filed my nails unevenly, put on polish poorly... the salon is also not the greatest. Reeked of acetone and was very messy. Also they keep up to date with the newest nail trends, I love the ANC dip gel; my nails have grown so long because this product keeps them nice and strong, it lasts a really long time too no chipping. The worst!!!!!! Been here twice and both times were extremely disappointing. They are not thorough. Do not apply nail polish well. The next day it came off both times.
