Throughout the years the staff have been consistently helpful and efficient. The 'store' is clean and neatly arranged. There is an area near the bathrooms to sit, relax, and enjoy a complimentary beverage (typically donated by Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf). Throughout the year (including a few weeks before and after a school year begins and concludes) they have been known to have special events. You can follow them on Facebook to stay informed of the latest news. Teachers, I recommend that you call and verify if your school has sent them a current list of licensed teachers (including grade taught; specialists are included!) before you make a trip there. If not, call the Exchange to find out how to enroll your school. You'll also need your teacher ID badge or other proof of employment status with your school when visiting the Exchange. They recommend bringing your own bags, but typically have some available. The Exchange receives donations such as: books, office supplies, manufacturing and convention overruns, and other surplus materials originally headed for landfills. The donations are then made available to teachers for use in the classroom for a nominal donation. The donation you make is tax deductible for those that itemize. In my opinion, most of the items that are made available cost 'pennies on the dollar' when compared to purchasing similar items retail. You pay for points. You shop. The point cost of the item is color coded and if there are limitations (ex. 3 of the item per visit) it is posted. Point color coded charts are posted throughout the shopping area. Typically (but not guaranteed), there are boxes of free items at the front of the store. Typically the free items are limited per teacher, but sometimes unlimited. Call ahead of time to find out if they allow teachers to bring their children in the shopping area. I don't think it's allowed, but I'm not certain. From what I understand only teachers are allowed in the shopping area; and visitors & children (bring someone to watch them for you) are to wait in the designated waiting area at the front of the store. Hours of operation vary, but it can easily be checked online at their website. Hours of operation are extended during the first few weeks before a school year begins. Once registered with this business, the online store operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

I saw a one-star review, which made me feel shocked. As a responsible adult, I find your assessment unfair. A child's study cannot be entirely dependent on school. As a new immigrant, I am still studying in college and preparing to apply for graduate school. The improvement of children needs the cooperation of parents and schools. If you expect to spend a little money to let the child improve in all aspects, then I believe that all the children in the world are excellent. This is obviously not practical. This school deserves your trust. Especially Jessie, the Chinese teacher, has 20 years of Chinese teaching experience and is highly recommended.

Principal Gerry Born is the best principal ever! Very attentive and very engaging with both teachers, students and parents. The teachers are spectacular! They really care about educating the children. They make sure they make it a fun environment, so the children feel at ease. Making it easier for them to learn new information. This school seems very advanced and up to date with their teachings and their technology. Since attending this school, I've noticed my child is a bit more advanced on the academic side compared to her other peers that go to regular in person public schools. Nothing against public schools, this school just works out for us as a family. This school uses real life scenarios in their quarterly projects. For example, they need to research about their dream vacation and how much it cost in real time and create a budget, etc. Surprisingly, as parents, after realizing her dream vacation was definitely more doable budget wise, we were able to actually take her on that dream vacation in less than a year's time. It not only teaches the students, but every assignment and project teaches us as parents as well. We highly recommend this charter school.

This was by far the most disappointing Exhibit about JFK I've seen. First, with the exception of a few items, everything in this exhibit is a REPLICA. From Air Force One to the various gowns on display to the furniture. Second, the title is misleading. It is not a true exhibit dedicated 100% to JFK. Replica period pieces of George Washington, Abe Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson are displayed. When I walked in I was not prepared for what I saw. Put together this is not. It is wide open with objects scattered about. There are various posters regarding the Kennedy's, JFK, the election, the Cuban Missile Crisis, and Jackie. There is a replica of the Oval Office & JFKs desk. There are a few benches where you can watch a few DVDs. There are gown belonging to many former First Ladies, including Hilary. A few cars are present. But the majority of what is displayed are posters of JFK during various stages of life. Sadly, some of the information cards displayed contain typos. You can tour through a section of a plane painted to look like Air Force One & there are a few displays within that are interesting. There is a news broadcast announcing the shooting, and radio chatter playing in the cockpit. What disappointed me most was the exhibit was just put up in a room that nothing was done to. Fake plants thrown about. Backdrop curtains not hung properly and/or of varying colors. The Oval office was taped together. Go at your own risk. The cars were neat, but thats it. I was tempted to ask for a refund. Sadly, I can not recommend this Exhibit.
