This has got to be the nicest setting I've ever tested in. Located on the 12th floor inside the spacious Plazas of America, take the elevators up, and Prometric's reception area is directly across the corridor. Just follow these instructions so you're not frantically seeking out a janitor for directions after unsuccessfully scouring the building map and adding to your anxiety about your test. Not only is the building nice, the people working there were very gentile as well. From the young lady in the front to the gentleman in the second room who kept ma'am-ing me, it was an unexpectedly pleasant and calming experience. Here's what you should expect: Bring your ID and keep it with you at all times, along with the locker key you'll get if you use their lockers. That is where phones, watches, sunglasses, wallets--ANYTHING other than the clothes you'll keep on and the ID (and locker key)--will go. Outerwear (jacket, cardigan, sweater, etc) must be stored in the locker or worn for the duration of the test. The testing room was a very comfortable temperature; light pants and long-sleeve shirt that can be pulled up should be fine. Headphones, pencils, scratch paper, and even tissues will be provided if you need them. You will be searched and recorded, so don't even think about smuggling in a snack. Breaks will depend on the test you're taking. Not sure what the car parking situation is, but there's a bike rack right outside the northeast entrance of the building. The rest is up to you. no one likes going into a prometric center to take a test but I wanted to highlight a worker who clearly goes above and beyond his role. Shout out to Christopher, he tried to quickly move the lines through and was very personable and tried to help calm your nerves before the test. Great guy! read more

Took my 4-hour exam there on May 15th. I took Dart to Pearl/Arts District station. This center is located in the Plazas of Americas, a tower full of life and vibrancy. You take the elevator to 12th floor and the center is right across the elevator doors. Center is clean and quiet, with a very helpful front desk support. Check-in process was quick, friendly, and within no time i was allotted a test pc. Chair, PC, headphones were all in great condition. I did not experience any distraction or noise during the entire 4-hr period even though the room was almost 80% occupied with test takers. Room temperature was also just right and i stayed comfortable in my t-shirt/jeans. Overall, it was a great experience. read more

While the testing center was nice, the employees were not aware of the actual guidelines of my test. They did not allow me to use my own calculator for the test as that is not their policy even though the testing company I was taking the test to allows test takers to use their own devices. Also, when waiting to sign in for my test they were switching employees so I had to wait and let other people come in after me and get service because I got stuck in the middle of the transition. I was very disappointed in the lack of understanding that the employees had. read more

Overall, I like this Prometric testing location, it is conveniently located on the DART rail line, and there are plenty of parking garages around the area, so finding a parking space shouldnt be an issue. If you dont want to oay for parking, you could always park at DART's Mockingbird Station Park & Ride and take the train two stops to the testing location.The check-in with the first person was straightforward and simple, after I was signed it, I waited until I was called back. The second person I met with was very rude, the first thing he said to me was something to the effect of "It looks like your trying to cheat today", granted I was wearing cargo shorts with several pockets, but his off-hand comment was unwarranted. During the test, that same facilitator came in the room every ten minutes, and he would stand behind me longer than he did anyone else, this constant interruption broke my concentration and I did poorly on the test. There is no reason to keep coming in the room, there are already cameras over each testing cubicle and screen monitoring software on the computers. read more

This is the 4th prometric site I have tested it and it is by far the best. Located on the 12 floor of the beautiful plaza of the americas building, you can escape the testing room during breaks and look out over the wide open space and relax. Also, there is a McDonald's on the first floor so you can grab a cup of joe before the exam . The employees were hospitable and security checks were efficient. I felt like they got me in and out of the testing environment quickly. Lastly, the bathrooms are large and clean. read more

It's in a very busy part of downtown but it's very nice. Park close to the 12th floor. Nice and personable staff. They let you take as many breaks as you like which is nice. You get a locker too. Its 18 bucks to park and they don't validate! Had to take off stars for that since I'm a poor teacher. read more
