I've never written a Yelp review before. I'm writing one now for ProMet Physical Therapy because I have experienced exceptional results and want to let other people know about this first-rate center of healing tucked away in a quiet section of Kew Gardens in Queens. The first thing you will notice is that the physical environment is open, well lit, clean and fully equipped and the staff is warm, friendly and helpful. When I arrived for my first physical therapy session, I was experiencing excruciating low back pain. For months I had to sleep sitting up in a recliner because lying in bed increased my pain. Climbing stairs was also very painful and I could not do so unless I used the banister to either pull myself up or ease myself down. Even the simple act of getting up from a chair or turning my torso left/right could send my back muscles into a series of painful spasms. My phsyical therapist -- Kaitlin Lynch -- guided me through the process of (1) gradually strengthening weak core/leg muscles in ways that did not aggravate already painful hot spots in my lower back and (2) incrementally increasing my bodies ability to balance itself. Kaitlin also uses her hands, fingers and body when treating you-- a technique unique to her at the center -- to help dormant muscles to contract and reconnect with the brain and related muscle groups which almost instantly eliminates painful flare ups and hot spots. Her process is extremely effective! In a relatively short amount of time with Kaitlin at ProMet, I was again able to sleep in bed without experiencing pain. Soon after, I found it much easier to climb stairs without the need to rely on the banister for support and balance. My experience at ProMet Physical Therapy, and, specifically, with Kaitlin Lynch, has been extremely positive and beneficial. I'm only about half way through my treatment and already my back pain has been reduced by about 80%. If you are in pain and looking for an exceptional physical therapy center, I recommend that you contact ProMet Physical Therapy for an evaluation. Today is a sad day! Now that Stanley already left (the other best assistant in the world ) and now today was Corey's last day. Corey is one of biggest asset to this place , as well as the heart and soul of PROMET. I don't think this place will ever be the same without Corey. All clients ask for Corey and only book appointments when he's there. Corey is gentle, kind, well mannered, and always pre-assess patients' needs. For example, coming In for multiple injuries , Corey always fluffs our pillows and brings us a glass of water without ever having to ask. He goes above and beyond. Corey is a humble gentleman, has great temperament and bedside manner, which will make him a great doctor one day. I'm really going to miss Corey. These days you don't find young PT assistants who actually enjoy their job and treat the patients like they are family , not just another annoying patient! Corey is a paragon and There will NEVER be another Corey! When he becomes a PT, I'll be sending my kids and grandkids to him! Wishing him much success! read more

All PT aides are great here but Phil Balcer aka "Dr. Phil" is exceptionally outstanding. Phil excels in customer service (patient service) in that Phil never leaves patients waiting when they first walk in, is always able to assess patient needs without patients asking and before patients know what they need. Phil is very attentive, always has upbeat positive attitude and is committed to patients' recovery (as opposed to just being perfunctory and going through the same motions). Phil always tries to be creative as far as ensuring routine is never boring and ensuring form is always perfect. He is very energetic, invested in expediting patients recovery, always remembers small details About every patient. Mr. Phil is very insightful, emotionally intelligent, perceptive and exhibits qualities of a great future doctor. I will always send my entire family to Dr Phil . I would trust Phil with my life. I came to ProMet because of back and shoulder issues. I started in mid-December 2017 and recently attended a Yankees baseball camp in Tampa in January 2018. Before I started PT with Dr. Daniel Haufe, I was experiencing back pain all day long; from the time I woke up until the time I went to sleep at night. My right shoulder had been bothering me for several years due to wear and tear from playing softball my whole life. At the Yankees camp, I went 8 for 9 with 3 doubles on a regulation sized baseball field and played shortstop the whole weekend. My back feels fine & my throwing arm never felt better! The strengthening and conditioning I've received from ProMet helped me to play the game I love all weekend with little to no pain. The staff there are friendly and helpful, you get one on one attention and the facility is clean and well run. I am very pleased so far and would HIGHLY recommend them for other patients. read more

An excellent physical therapy clinic. I have been coming since April 2018 for a knee condition. Dr. Daniel Haufe is a very dedicated, knowledgeable, motivated, and motivating DPT. I was referred to him from a former patient, who was very pleased by his work. I have not had surgery, but the patient demographic seems to be quite varied, regarding their own PT needs. It is not a "sports only" or "rehab" only facility, and can service an array of conditions requiring PT. The staff are very welcoming, friendly, and attentive. Also, a very clean environment /well maintained. In addition, the front desk staff are very helpful with keeping on top of insurance requirements, obtaining information/paperwork from your referring physician, and accommodating appointment time needs. If it were possible, they should seriously consider expanding the office space to accommodate even more patients to this excellent clinic. read more

I am incredibly grateful to Dan and ProMet Physical Therapy. The effect this treatment has had on me is dramatic and life changing. I walked into my first appointment with Dan at ProMet in Kew Gardens about a year ago feeling completely hopeless. I had been in discomfort and pain on a daily basis for the past 9 years, I had been to countless doctors, PT's and pain management specialists who could not provide me any relief, and I was scheduled to have surgery the following month. Dan is patient , understanding and extremely knowledgeable --within a month of working with me he identified what treatment I responded to best and by the end of that month I was already experiencing relief. As I continued seeing him I began experiencing pain relief for longer periods of time. This led me to postpone and then eventually totally cancel my surgery as it was no longer necessary due to Dan's treatment. read more

Had a total knee replacement in July --- and so glad I took the recommendation of my home therapist for this place for my rehab. I started in late July -- and by late October I was back to the gym a couple of days a week. By November I could even do some pilates. Dan Haufe my therapist - objective is to get you back, as close to 100 percent as possible. It was a pleasure to work with him -- Dan knows his business! This is really a great place - starting from their front desk - to all the other great people working at this location. I never had any sessions with Kaitlin Lynch the other therapist at this location - and even though I didn't work with her directly - she was always on the lookout to make sure you were doing the therapy correctly. Okay so I was going to therapy somewhere else after my partial knee replacement. To be honest it was a lot of times when I didn't want to go because I just not feel comfortable with the staff. However when I came here to ProMet Physical that staff he treated me with mad respect in their exercises are phenomenal. I was really concerned about my right knee bending inwards....well after the first session with The Doctors of physical therapy I felt such a great change and now I feel that progress is being made.THANK YOU GUYS and I'm looking forward to some more sessions to get me back to where I'm supposed to be. I've been going to ProMet and working with Katie at the Kew Gardens location since I incurred a double fracture in my ankle back in February. I was astounded by how quickly my healing progressed with Katie's help. I am so happy I found this place. I can't believe I was able to walk again without crutches in significantly less time than expected. Katie knows her stuff, has a great personality, is attentive and educates me about what to expect, what is happening in the healing process and how to continue progress. Dr. Julian is a consummate professional. He explains everything to you and relieves all your anxiety. He also has a sense of humor which is very rare in this line of work. Going to therapy and following his directions for at home, I feel like I'm on the road to feeling normal again. I am an athlete and have had many injuries. every time I go to Pro Met, Julian always gets my body back to 100% He and Ryan are always happy to answer my questions and I'm never left sitting in the waiting room. ProMet Physical Therapy has a very unique way of dealing with sports and other injuries, the methodology used and the detection of the problem is pretty accurate. Dr. Ryan is one of the head physiotherapy doctor who treated me and showed me that we do not need machines at times to treat the gravest of problems you have to get to the root cause of the problem and work on that rather than getting treated for a temporary solution. ProMet Physical Therapy has its own unique gym for free exercises and modern techniques which are very effective for treatments. read more

I would highly recommend ProMet. After surgery I was referred by the surgeon to receive physical therapy, I then became a patient of ProMet. With the help of my therapist Daniel H. it has been quite a journey. Daniel has made my injury bearable with every session I have. It's an improvement in my recovery. I'm very happy to have found this place. The therapist Daniel is always ready to work and happy to do it, he is professional, pleasant, and always offers his assistance. Since my last review I underwent treatment with Dan for about five weeks, averaging 2-3x per week. I can honestly say that while my shoulder isn't 100% like it was prior to the injury, it's sitting pretty damn good at a solid 98%. Sometimes I forget I even hurt my shoulder and I think that says a lot in terms of my recovery. Dan knows how to treat, he knows how to keep you engaged and he sure as hell challenges you to do more so you could get stronger and your joints more stable. ProMet (Middle Village) is an excellent facility run professionally and efficiently by Ryan Martin, DPT. Entire staff is friendly and helpful and make the PT experience as pleasant as possible. I speak from experience since I received one year of PT a while back before and after rotator cuff surgery. I recently did another 5 sessions of PT after a fall which caused a problem with the same shoulder. Feeling as good as new again. read more

I am very please with Promed I was originally referred by Ortho for a torn meniscus. I was sure I needed surgery. However Daniel proved me wrong. I no longer have any pain. The place is great from the receptionists to the pt assistants to Daniel. I am continuing the pt to strengthen my knee to avoid further damage I highly recommend this place! read more

This is the best way to get PT, and the best place to get it. Rather than work one on one with each patient, the PT's and their assistants work with up to 6 patients at the same time. Instead of 30 minutes of therapy you can end up with over an hour. They keep detailed records of what you do each time. read more
