There's a lot of competition in the Toronto bed bug control market. Bed Bugs and Beyond doesn't…read moretake advantage of the hot market. They keep prices fairly low in comparison to other companies offering heat, and offer a 90-day guarantee and a free heat treatment if the bugs do return. So far, we've been bed-bug free since the initial heat treatment! Our experience with Bed Bugs & Beyond was great. The owner, Cary, came and did a free inspection on the same day we contacted him even though he had another job in progress elsewhere. The crew who did the treatment was just as compassionate as Cary. They patiently explained the process and helped us and our two cats get out the door bed-bug free so we wouldn't bring them back with us. This involved blowing hot air on us, our bags, and cat carriers as well as inside my car. Cary did warn us during the inspection that our Ikea furniture would sustain some damage. Indeed, the cheap melamine finishes separated from our dressers. We have been able to super-glue them back down. Our large and expensive Pax wardrobe came through it just fine, though! The only damage to our electronics was to our laser printer, which we've replaced -- a cost well worth the experience of a good night's sleep :) If you've got bed bugs, don't waste your money on steam and vacuum treatments (these things you can do yourself!) and be aware of the fact that chemical fumigation cannot penetrate the nooks and crannies in your walls where these sneaky bugs hang out. Heat is the best way. I do recommend cleaning up any of the Diatomaceous Earth powder before heat treatment if you've spread it around. The heat fans will blow it around everywhere. Weeks later and I'm still cleaning it up! I also recommend boarding your pets somewhere overnight. Our indoor cats really suffered in the hot house even hours after the treatment. Your house will take 5+ hours to cool off because the walls and floors retain so much heat. A big thanks to Cary and the Bed Bugs and Beyond crew! Although you're all wonderful people, I hope that I never have to contact you again :P THANK YOU!!!!!!!

Please be cautious before hiring BBB to take care of your bed bug problem…read more Armand who owns and operates this company likes to use the word "impossible", whenever you tell him that the bed bugs were not exterminated after his treatment, but the bottom line is, that after two treatments and many unanswered phone calls and txt messages, I have had to hire Mohamed at "Pest Solution Services", after Armand refused to honour his work. When I asked Armand about his "90 day 100% CUSTOMER SATISFACTION GUARANTEE" he replied "take me to court If you want satisfaction". I have waited the full length of BBB's warraty before posting this review in the hopes that they would honour their word. Sadly all correspondence now falls on deaf ears. If you call or txt BBB for the first time, they will get back to you very quickly. Under 30 min. If BBB's service does not work and your asking them to honour their warranty, don't expect a reply anytime soon or ever really. I guess the next step is to take the only good advice Armand gave me, which was sadly to take BBB to court. Unfortunate.

Rather than…read moreanswering my email (at the address Rebecca provided in her reply) Armour gave my cellphone number to a 3rd party "citations manager" who was apparently hired to get me to take down my negative review. (Is that even legal? Makes me wonder how many negative reviews have they had removed from their page?) I told this mediator that if Armour would just reply to my unanswered email about missed appointments with an explanation or apology, I'd edit my review to reflect that they did me that courtesy. The mediator told me they wouldn't do it and literally said "I feel really bad for you" ... I would never drag a small business online for making some mistakes, they were cheaper than most services and when we hired them we figured we'd be ok with the no-frills attitude that sometimes come with that. But refusing accountability for these mistakes, and then this new bizarreness with hiring a 3rd party to remove my review... I think it's important this unprofessional conduct is noted.

Hands-down best wildlife control company I have ever dealt with. I really wish I had called them…read morefirst, no one is more knowledgeable and helpful than Scott when it comes to wildlife control. I kept hearing noises coming from the vent above my stove. I called one wildlife control company, who came out, did a 10-second "inspection" of my roof, told me there were no holes and that it must be mice I was hearing. Told me to call an exterminator. Called the exterminator, who was at first extremely hesitant to come to my home and, quite frankly, rude on the phone. He ended up coming out a few days later, but was scared to look into the the cupboard above the stove where the vent connects to the attic (where the noise was coming from). Instead he went on the roof, found a hole, installed a one-way squirrel door, and proceeded to leave without checking the attic. When I asked him to check the attic, he told me "the attic won't tell me anything, I've already inspected the roof" . Finally, after repeated requests, he poked his head up into the attic for less than a minute and said he will come back to throw down poison. A few days later, I again heard the noises above my stove in the vent. I called the company who had installed the one-way door. They said they would send the same Technician out to have a look. I asked them to send someone else who would do a better job and was not afraid of animals. They laughed and said they would call me back. Never did. In the meantime, I called Liddle Rascals. Scott was fully booked for the day, but told me he would do his best to squeeze me in, and he did. He came out to my house twice ON THE SAME DAY I called him. Inspected EVERYTHING, roof, attic, cupboard, vent, EVERYTHING. I tried to pay him, he said "pay me after the job is done" because he was going to come back in a few days and check on the one-way squirrel door he had set-up. He even took down the useless one-way squirrel door the other company had put up and patched up the roof. Extremely knowledgeable, extremely reasonably priced as well. Really really wish I had called him first, but live and learn, better late than never.

We feared it was dead but wanted to rescue him if he was alive. We called several places but were wary of the responses we got from these so called wildlife removal /pest control places. We called AAA Wildlife as they are known for being humane and professional. They came almost immediately, charged a very reasonable amount and took the bat to a licensed rehab facility for wildlife. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and the animal was treated with care. I would highly recommend this company for all wildlife issues. Since that has happened another friend told me that she had used them for raccoon problems in her roof and felt the same way. I will now not bother calling anyone else but AAA in the future.

Last May I noticed a robin building a nest in my eavestrough and phoned AAAGates right away. I was given a phone quote of $295 + tax + costs for any extra materials such as bird proofing to guard against future nests. By the time AAAGates said they could come to the property, 2 1/2 weeks later, the nest was built. This meant the birds and eggs had to be undisturbed until they hatched and left the nest. [Robins are a protected migrating species. Do Not Disturb!] Fast forward to now, late August, and I phoned to have them remove the empty nest and any debris left behind. Well, now the phone quote was a minimum of $395 + tax! That's a 33% increase in 3 months just to remove an empty nest! No thank you!
