I took the PMP Test prep class with Crystal Richards in June 2017. Crystal is an excellent instructor. She is dynamic and intuitive. She knows where to spend extra time and when to move on. Each evening we received emails detailing the most important parts of the day. Each morning we reviewed the highlights again. Outside of class, Crystal made herself available for questions regarding the material, the exam and the application process. She reviewed my application spreadsheets outside of class and suggested changes. When I emailed questions, she replied promptly with PBOK pages to support the answers and even encouraged me to ask more questions! Project Management Academy is incredibly helpful. Spending months looking for a boot camp close to home, I came across Project Management Academy and their great reviews. I participated in the August 12 - 15 2019 Project Management Academy, held at Quantico Corporate Center. Not knowing what to expect, I showed up day one and was immediately impressed by the instructor, Joe Snyder, and his diverse experience and knowledge. I had done some pre-work, studying on my own, but still struggled to connect the dots at times. Joe helped put all of that in perspective. The coursework was aligned to walk you through the processes, rather than hitting all integration management first, etc. This really helped during recall. The next day's work was always built off the previous day and what was learned. I can say that without this boot camp I most likely would not have passed the PMP on my first attempt. I attended the PMP Exam Prep course, instructed by John Connolly. While the material itself can be difficult to get through at times, John did a great job providing examples of practical application in real world scenarios. He is very knowledgeable and takes time to ensure that students have the information they need to be successful. I also felt that the study material and resources that PMA provides each student are well worth the cost of the class. If you are seriously considering taking your PMP exam I would definitely recommend this class, especially if John is your instructor. I took the PMP Exam Prep class with Project Management Academy in Stafford on September 9-12. The class, though very condensed, was well put together, and all of the information was relevant to the exam. The instructor, Mr. Hans Meijer was engaging, enthusiastic, and and deeply committed to making sure every student was motivated and absorbing the material required to succeed in the class and on the test. He also was realistic about what our expectations should be regarding the exam and the lead time we have before it. I've taken online versions of the PMP course previously and they didn't offer the breadth of knowledge that John Connely and PMA provide. Although it was a tremendous amount of information over 4 days, John kept the class of 12 energized. The engagement was appreciated by everyone in the class, and we grew to be somewhat of a team. Those interactions were priceless and brought real value. I'd definitely recommend John Connely and PMA for your certification needs. I recently attended a Project Management Professional (PMP) boot camp course through Project Management Academy. This course is intended to cover all the material needed to pass the PMP exam to receive certification. My instructor was Bill Holmes, over 4 days of virtual instruction. I could not have been happier with Bill and his methods of instruction! His lectures went by quickly, did not seem overly rushed, included a ton of his real-world experiences, and involved the class just enough to make it fun. I attended PMA's PMP bootcamp May 20-23, 2019 with their instructor Joe Snyder. By far, this is one of the best investments you can make for your personal development. Their approach follows a logical break down and makes setting the foundational knowledge of the PMBOK a breeze and Joe has a fantastic ability to keep the entire class engaged. After attending the bootcamp I took six weeks off of studying due to scheduling conflicts but picked it back up in July. I went through the project management academy PMP Prep class held at the Holiday Inn, Virginia Beach from September 28 - October , 2020. Joe Snyder (our instructor) was phenomenal and instrumental with facilitating the material and focus area's required to successfully pass the PMP exam on my first attempt. I am a retired military guy after 20 years and have been in gov't contracting for almost another 20 and this was the best training I have ever had considering the material being taught. John Connolly made it easy to understand and relatable to put it in real world scenarios. PMA should be proud to have such a person representing them. I studied for PMP on my own, but this in person training put all of it in a clear and precise palatable manner that made the four days of training very very worthwhile. I just went through a PMA PMP Exam Prep virtual boot camp, May 2 - 5, with Baodi Ngo. I have to say that for me Baodi made the difference with helping me connect the dots in the class. I had some very basic familiarity with the PMBOK prior to attending, burn the material and delivery method of Joe's instruction greatly enhanced my learning experience.
