I attended a November 2021 virtual online training course with John Dokos. John was a phenomenal instructor. He was patient, thorough, and clear. I really appreciated how he broke down difficult topics and used real life examples to help support and instill the knowledge. I was extremely nervous coming into this course and then onto the actual exam, but John was superb at preparing us for what to expect and what is needed from a studying standpoint to pass the exam. And he was even there rooting for us after the course and giving me the nudge I needed to get signed up for the exam :) The materials PMA provided to supplement the in-session training were also extremely helpful. I felt I had everything I needed and more for my studying. Overall, I would highly recommend PMA and would encourage anyone interested to go out of their way to make sure they get John Dokos as their instructor. I took Project Management Academy's PMP boot camp course in person with Stephen Hoogerwerf as the instructor. Stephen was an AMAZING instructor and I would highly recommend his class. Not only did I feel he adequately prepared me for the PMP (which I went on to successfully pass), but he made the class enjoyable, interactive and I learned a lot that will help me in my current position as a project manager. Additionally, I loved all the project management academy resources that were included with the boot camp. They have a mock exam with an instructor led review that was super useful as well as work sheets to help memorize terminology and concepts, videos if you need to review something that you didn't quite understand in class, and practice exams to help you prep and study on your own. I took the PMP virtual online training March 2021. My instructor was John Dokos and he was amazing! There was a lot of information to cover but John paced the class to allow all the material to be thoroughly reviewed. The Project Management Academy (PMA) study guides and reference books were extremely helpful during my test preparation. Additionally, the PMA mock tests and the recorded videos were all resources I used to assist me with passing the PMP! I signed up for the 2/24-2/27 course in Chicago after being referred by a friend who took the training in Indianapolis. I was really hopeful that I would have as good an experience as she did. Well, it was better than I even imagined! Francis Mies is an EXCELLENT instructor. He was smart, down-to-earth, patient, funny, and most of all, supportive. PMA has done a great job creating such a thorough training model. Between the in-class instruction (from such an expert) and all of the online tools (videos, quizzes, flashcards, weekly webinars, and mock exams) you are guaranteed to feel prepared for the exam. Outstanding class and highly recommended. I attended the virtual PMP prep course at the beginning of November 2020 with John Dokos. John's instruction was well structured, enjoyable, and interactive. John is extremely knowledgeable and did an excellent job covering a tremendous amount of information in a very short period of time. I completed the "PMP Prep Course" in Grand Rapids this week (Mon-Thu), took the PMP Exam this morning and PASSED ("Above Target")! PMA does a nice job of providing both in-person materials and learning as well as online. I supplemented my in-class learning with the online videos and quizzes, as well as the practice questions and times exams. Francis Mies did a nice job of getting the class through A LOT of material in the 4 days, while answering questions when asked. Very well worth the cost! read more

Excellent course, absolutely instrumental in passing my exam. I took the PMP online bootcamp in May 2021, and was able to pass the exam AT/AT/AT within 2 weeks! The online version felt just as interactive as an in-person session, and I didn't experience any technological issues. My instructor, Wayne Brantley, was clear and concise in his delivery of the content, and went above and beyond in answering questions and delving into some of the more complicated content in extreme detail. He is clearly extremely knowledgeable and experienced in the Project Management arena, and I would highly highly recommend taking the course from him. Even though some of the material can come across as a bit dry, Wayne made sure to add fun examples and anecdotes that made the course feel more personal and created a memory that could really stick when going back to review the materials. He also provided very clear and succinct study suggestions for post-course, which helped immensely in maintaining momentum following the class. Lastly, the course slides and activities were very aligned with the new 2021 version of the test, which upped my confidence in the PMA approach in general. I truly cannot say enough good things about this class and about Wayne. If you're preparing to take the exam within the next quarter, I would say this is your absolute best option for success. read more

My instructor Francis was absolutely fantastic. Not only was he well versed in the content, but was able to tie real life application to the PMI process. On top of that, after the class you are given outstanding access to all kinds of tools and practice tests to help you prepare after you complete the course. Phenomenal training to get you prepared to take the PMP. I took the 4 day boot camp class with Francis Mies in December, studied for 2 months, and just took and passed the PMP exam! This class sets you up with the skills, tips, and tricks you need to study and ACE the test. Last week I attended the PMA boot camp in preparation for the PMP certification that I passed the Saturday after. PMA and my trainer Francis Mies did a great job getting me ready for this challenging test by going through a summary of the PMBOK and questions and answers that were asked in previous exams. The class content itself was great; to write that it was extremely beneficial to me would be the understatement of the century - worth every penny. Fran Mies was AWESOME and as I told him following my exam, i had his voice in my head the whole time I was studying! He focused on the most important piece: passing the exam.
