The pastor would have been next, except the meat was so fatty. The birria was tough; we had to leave it. The steak had no flavor...obviously just heated on the griddle with no seasoning. With drinks, the bill was 25 bucks. Another try? I don't think so.

Hate to even do this... I don't eat out rather often, but got the worst food poisoning the last…read moretime I did. Ordered breakfast and took lunch to go bc I was excited they had pozole which wound be dinner. The next day I wanted to die. When I called I was hung up on after telling her I had food poisoning-- cool. Called back, pick up and hang up. Called from a different number-- was told the Broadway store had a manager and I'd have to go there. Called -- not the case, left a message for them and never heard back. I know how beloved this place is here but zero tolerance for food poisoning when there is a million Mexican places as well as better customer service. tried to do things the right way-- how I would want someone to approach me. I admit , however, I also had Beef barbacoa taco which was wonderful. Whole 16.00 Chicken was just terrible I can't stress that enough!! Went back and they won't take it back. After showing them the dried out chicken (see picture) they said breast is always dry. They said no way give me my money back. (Walmart makes better moisture flavorful chicken than this was.) Hernandez employee came up with all kinds of excuses why no money back. Hernandez rep said "Breast is always dry." I disagree not that dry. Walmart is actually good but not like this horrible crap. I repeated to employee that I threw up to employee. But she said she can't make money if she gives back 16.00 for no flavor dry chicken. I said you can't make money with this terrible of food!!!! I said this will all be in my yelp review but she could not care less. No butter basting or anything of the like on the chicken. No flavor. No sauce no nothing. Yuck!!! Usually, everything is consistently fresh, hot and yummy. Today was a bit of a disappointment however. Our tacos were cold, were served with no sauce (had to ask for the sauce that's supposed to come with the tacos) and just weren't great overall. I'm hoping this is a one-off and that this won't be a new trend. The bacon in my breakfast taco was soggy bits of...idk. Didn't taste like bacon. The 'crispy' potatoes were also soggy and cold. We did order a new item - the loaded nachos with fajita meat on top. They were really tasty, but there wasn't a ton of queso on them, so next time will ask for additional queso. Nachos just aren't nachos unless there's some dunkin' cheese. They were also served without any salsa or sauce. Also, the tables and the bathrooms weren't clean.
